A tear trickled down Artemis's cheek. "Yes, my brave one. They are beautiful tonight."
"Stars," Zoe repeated. Her eyes fixed on the night sky. And she did not move again.
Thalia lowered her head. Annabeth gulped down a sob, and her father put his hands on her shoulders. I watched as Artemis cupped her hand above Zoe's mouth and spoke a few words in Ancient Greek. A silvery wisp of smoke exhaled from Zoe's lips and was caught in the hand of the goddess. Zoe's body shimmered and disappeared.
Artemis stood, said a kind of blessing, breathed into her cupped hand and released the silver dust to the sky. It flew up, sparkling, and vanished.
For a moment I didn't see anything different. Then Annabeth gasped. Looking up in the sky, I saw that the stars were brighter now. They made a pattern I had never noticed before-a gleaming constellation that looked a lot like a girl's figure-a girl with a bow, running across the sky.
"Let the world honor you, my Huntress," Artemis said. "Live forever in the stars.”

you broke me in two words, I almost sobbed in the middle of reading I third grade at this part and I didn't have normal emotions like I do now, I had to choke back my tears. in short, I don't like you
This would fit so perfectly when Annabeth is holding up the world for atlas. The scene would be her singing while the battle is going on around her in slow motion and the spot lights only on her!

this would FIT SO GOOD in battle of the labyrinth after Percy’s “death” (he doesn’t actually die he just like yeets for a couple weeks) and like this would be such a good fit for annabeth and that feeling of loss that she has for him, and naturally she would feel like the rest of the war would be on her shoulders, after Percy’s death so yeah @lightning thief company if you make battle of the labyrinth DO THAT

Ok, imagine Annabeth singing this on the Argo II when she comes back from Tartarus. Like she walks into her cabin for the first time in what's felt like forever and everything she's gone through just comes crashing down on her. From when she ran away when she was seven to her going on the quest for Athena, when she was in Tartarus, The battle of Manhatten, and the upcoming war with Gaea that she still has to win. And she's remembering everyone that she's lost and everyone she could lose if she doesn't succeed

This is such an amazing song. It really captures her Annabeth character and being able to incorporate how she was feeling in the first book with a metaphor from the third book when she had to hold up the sky! Love it! ❤

I love how you can hear the pain and vulnerability in her voice, even when not on stage Kristin embodies her character and the emotion of the song, I love her 💙

This is quite possibly my favorite song from the whole musical, even though it was cut. It expresses the side of Annabeth that I connect most deeply with. So happy for an official recording!

A lot of people have said this would stand good in the Titans Curse or in the Battle of the Labyrinth, but I actually think this would be great in the Sea of Monsters when Annabeth is telling Percy about her fatal flaw. Anyone else?

Rob Doing vocals in his own song is such a mood
...when everyone expects so much you can barely stand- I felt that
the fact that smart girls is not on spotify brings me great sadness.
This song is off an EP with part of the proceeds going to the charity “She’s the First” helping gender inequality in education. By not putting it on Spotify (which does very little financially for independent artists) I am able to put more money directly to a worthy cause. Please consider purchasing the $3 album on iTunes, Amazon, or Cd Baby.

It's no and I thinks it's great to have it as a no because its basically her saying I cant take the weight but I cant think like that I have to as no one else will, which is also reflected earlier in the song with her repeatedly saying 'I know' as if she has been told to relax lighten your load so she then is saying I know I can but I cant, this is my role and i am going to stick to it.
"When everyone expects so much, you can barely stand" this reminds me of MoA when Annabeth breaks her ankle looking for the mark of athena. Everyone was counting on her. Athena, her friends, camp half-blood, Rome, and Greece. She knew how important this quest was and it was affecting her but she had to push through.
I feel like I have so much weight on my shoulders. Im only 13 but sometimes when I listen to this song I weep on the inside, and sometimes outside. During the chorus with "Take the weight from my shoulders, take the weight form my mind, from my mind" I think to myself" I wish I could, Annabeth, but I'll have to make room on mine." Yes Im sure you all are thinking "Oh, you think this is hard? Wait till you grow up, kid" But still, as you grow up you adjust to the problems you have. Anyway, I know no-one cares and this is just a fictional song in a fictional universe by a fictional character, but this really hit home for me.
I get it. I’ve had that weight since I was 10. Just because you’re still 13 doesn’t mean your feelings are stupid or invalid and that you need to grow up. Look at Annabeth. Her problems started when she was 7! And being a teenager is hard, and I say that as a teenager myself. So I think everyone totally understands what you’re going through, because most of us have gone through it or are going through it, and maybe you have something bad going for you. I cry when I hear this song too. Have a nice day :)

it would be really cool if, should there ever be a pjo musical centered around ttc, annabeth has a line that says, “well, now i know how atlas feels” and when percy takes her place, they have overlapping lines, “can he/can i take the weight? is this how they felt, all alone, is he/was she afraid?”

Depends on the contexts, if she is in a conversation with percy then yes mgp but if she were to sing this when she believes percy to be asleep then it would work as it is her 'motivating' herself like I know I cant take this on but I'm going go try anyway as no one else can. Or at least that's the way I see it at this second but that can easily change the next couple times i listen
This song works better when she holds the sky in TTC, and works BEST when she's leading the group through the labyrinth in BOTL. It's an amazing song, and fits Annabeth, but it's not the right song for this musical. It feels a bit out of place in TLT
