  • In this video show how I install new Johnson livewell pump cartridges in my Skeeter bass boat. Super easy to install the cartridges. Hardest part was getting to the pumps to able access the pumps themselves. I hope this helps everyone watching.

Thank you! You saved me from battling the clip I couldn’t see because it was under bilge water… not to mention I was upside down with only room for one hand. Cheers!

I recomend enironmental splices (raychem) or a water proof disconnect like deuetch automotive connectors.

Followed your procedure for replacing Johnson bilge cartridge. Still can not get cartridge to come out. Lifted tab and twisted counter clockwise.

Thanks for watching! Sorry to hear your having trouble getting that cartridge out. Did you lift up on that tab or did you pull the tab out away from the housing?

I think mine didn’t drain all the water out and froze. I wired plugs for quick change.

Thanks for watching and commenting. Luckily mine didn’t get water froze in them. I believe the wires just fried. Good thing they were easy to switch out the cartridges.
