    Terrific Loye, It was important for me to see the suction end. External to the boat transom, as I wasn't familiar with the place to drill. It may sound STUPID, but drilling a random hole into my boat could have become a disaster. THANKS again, GREAT VIDEO

    Thanks this is a great video, I bought a used Jon boat, with problems, which I knew about. This is a helpful video for boat owners.

    Loye, I enjoy your channel. You explain things very well. I have a question for you. I bought an older aluminum bass tracker pro crappie 175. (2002) I have completely gutted this boat, foam and everything down to bare aluminum. This boat originally had 4 live wells. But no fish well. I am eliminating two bait live wells and making a large fish well. This thing had circulation pumps on each one as well as two more pumps at the transom too. It had a bilge pump that was installed poorly. (about 3-3 1/2" above the bottom floor at the transom. All together, there are 6 holes in the back transom. 5 at the bottom and 1 high up near the top left of the transom. 3 of these pumps were broken just inside of the hose connection just like the one you showed in your video on How to install a livewell pump. Now, for my question. There are two large hose connections in the bottom of the transom, one drain plug hole, then two more smaller holes that also had pumps attached to them. What are the different size hoses used for compared to the smaller diameter hoses. Then, can I run the two bait wells off of one pump or one for each. Then a separate one for the fish well. Do they also have to have aeration pumps in addition to the circulation lines? Whew, what a mess these were getting out. Also took out all of the hoses completely. Everything going back in NEW. Thank you for taking the time to read this novel, from a novice. Anything you could advise will be greatly appreciated. Retired and loving it. Harvey.

    I just put a new Shoreline Marine 800 GPH pump in my boat. It sets 5 in below water level and it's hooked up just like you did in the video and it won't pump enough water to pump up into my livewell. I can hold my finger over the end of the outlet and completely block the water flow off. It won't even reach the top of the hose to my livewell and it's only an 18-in rise.

    Do I need a primer bulb to get it started or can I just turn on the pump and it will start sucking water?

    I got a problem with getting water to my Live Well I don't know if you can help or not or give me a suggestion. I have an 800 gph aerator pump with a 3/4 inch flex hose running to the front of the boat it's not wanting to pump water to the live well .is the pump too small? or is the hose too big? Sometimes it works perfect most of the time it won't pump at all. The pump is running but not picking up water .. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated I thought about putting a inline primer bulb on but I've never heard it doing that…. thank you

    My live well fills up with water, but the aerator doesn’t kick on. Will this fix this problem? The switch lights up on the aerator switch so I know it’s not the switch

    I'd like to replace my Live well pump. Do I need to remove the areator cap on lthe outside of the boat or can it be all done from the inside? Thank you.

      Lisa Spears is your electric wired correctly? Could have the leads reversed. Could have a piece of debris in your inlet.

    I watched to see how to do the wiring. Seems like you quickly skipped over that portion of the install.

    A pro using butt connectors for wire connectors?

      @jasmany19 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is nothing wrong with using butt connectors. He also mentioned that he was going to apply heat shrink over the connection.

    Can't believe some people will put a pump in without a cutoff valve! Y'all must not deal with off-shore folks.
