In my opinion you seem all not to be married. I have experienced almost all these things he talks about in my relationship. My woman wants to be heard and I try to fix everything and want to feel needed by her. Its true for my relationship And please don't think of me as sad case. I am conscious of my deepness within myself as a experiencing being a human and not a victim of life on this planet. John Gray is pretty highly evolved himself. There is more to his deep intelligence than you realize.

I was on tour with my band and for some reason we performed at a convention or banquet with this guy and I think Ollie North was there. I was just a kid, but I recognized them. My childhood feels like a dream to me now. Chelsea Clinton's high school teacher took a road trip with me across the country. Life is really strange. I'm just a bum

Sexist because you don't like the patterns of behaviour he has identified.
It would be quite moronic of any research group to make a claim about behavioural patterns and claim them to be universal, there is too much variation within the human gene pool. However it would be equally moronic to claim that there are not overwhelming statistical trends which demonstrate a strong physiological basis for behaviour of different genders.

This does not, of course, exclude the role of other determinants of human behaviour. eg: Cognitive, social and environmental factors. Individual differences are highly influential.
I also fail to see how bringing to people's attention the fact that the two sexes do use differing communication stratergies causes men and women harm. As with most relational problems, it is usually due communication breakdown.

My position all hinges on what you mean by " fixed".
I am afraid that there is overwhelming neurophysiological evidence to back up the claim that, on a Statistical level ( emphasis mine),for a normal distribution a given human sample that there are significant differences in behavioural responses of the two sexes to a number of different stimuli.
See Work on cortisol release and oxytocin release in the studies on SAM pathway and HPA axis for different genders.

"Neither do I know people who have communication problems with the opposite sex."
If you are really serious about that quote then I think you should be giving a lecture on it. In my limited life experience at 32 years of age I have to say I have come across countless relational problems that find their origin in poor communication.
You will always find exceptions to any trend, that does not mean the trend does not exist, it just means you have found an exception.

There are people hopeless enough to listen to this guy? You power through life, and you don't complain. You deal, if you can't then jump out a 5 story window.

in my own relationship with my wife. And understanding, noticing and observing my OWN behavious and thought patterns has made me even more understanding of my wife and her needs.
Read, listen and think about the subjects with an OPEN mind. Then THINK and analyse how they do or do not relate to you, your partner and your relationship, is my advice.
Much more healthy than just dismissing it entirely or even, I guess, just taking it all as gospel.
My 2c. Actually, that was about $2. Lol.

the reason why men do that is because women do all the work and men don't have to do that except repair stuff. and do "man things" its been like that for centuries.
