My place for scarves, and it may not work for everyone, is thrift stores. Some places are better than others. Another place is fabric stores. I’ve just bought a meter of Marino wool jersey in a couple of different colours. In addition to being a scarf, they keep you warm on the plane as well as being an extra blanket in hotels.
@@debsouther2981 I’m bad. I didn’t. Jersey doesn’t really ravel. It sort of rolls at the edges. I have seen wraps that you buy that have a satin bias binding, and I fully meant to do that, but one year later I’m still using the wraps and haven’t done that. Depending on your sewing skills you could just serge or zig zag the edges.
Keep in mind, in case of fire when flying, American Association of Pilots suggests clothing low in synthetics. “polyesters burn like plastic…they burn and melt. The larger the percentage of polyester in the fabric, the greater the similarity to burning plastic. In a sense, if you're wearing high polyester blend garments and you're exposed to fire, you're wearing napalm.” It melts into your skin.
So any really good, achievable outfits which look comfortable and practical for travel. I recently found a couple of really nice 100% linen scarves in Mango which I’ll be using for travel. They are also useful as sarongs on the beach, a blanket on the plane, to cover shoulders when visiting religious sites, as a makeshift cardigan/shawl if you tie the two corners on the short sides together, and to brighten up my neutral outfits. I always travel with scarves ☺️
I wear solid t-shirt and jogger sets from Amazon and carry a pashmina for warmth in case I need it. I’m also a lady dealing with menopause, and I always run on the hot side! I loved the outfits with joggers because that’s more my travel style.

It's a pretty blue color too. 💙 I would be tempted to get the one you showed here too, though. I'm a vest person lol. Though I'm post-menopausal, I tend to be cold, so layers are it for me.
I actually have the navy blue one, but it does (did) come in black. I'm really, really hoping they get them in stock again soon...its such a great dress!

How do you deal with wrinkles while traveling with linen?

Between the wrinkle spray and steam, most of the wrinkles come out...not perfect, but then I'm an 80/20 kind of gal, not going for perfection 😂
Some drawstring pants have an option to thread them through the inside of the waistband instead of the outside. That way you can tie the bow on the inside and it won’t show.
Unfortunately for me, whether the bow is on the inside or the outside, I still end up with a lump on my poochie belly 😂
Dress up the vest by wearing black pants, white shirt/blouse with 3/4 sleeves and the vest.
What nlack dress?
Those blue stripes look like pj bottoms.
I’d love to be able to wear linen but it makes me itch 😢
Ladies, ladies, learn to sew your own clothes. There are wonderful fabrics out there, wonderful patterns. Save huge dollars for the same clothes.
The Amazon dress is out of stock. Scottevest has a similar winter dress in their outlet for $60.
If you hemmed the shacket straight across at hip level, it would look like a dressier jacket.
I love linen but I don’t love how it wrinkles so easily.
Surprisingly, these Old Navy pants don't really wrinkle...maybe because its a softer linen??
