This story is the most ambitious thing I've ever seen in my life, reuniting almost every DC character ever to fight 1 guy? Absolutely stunning
I just love that Barry goes so fast that he literally becomes lightning, travels back in time and hits himself, turning himself into the Flash. That means that Barry Allen is the Flash because Barry Allen is the Flash.

When I finally able to read Crisis on Infinite Earths, I found that I loved it! Despite juggling so many characters and Earths around, I never found it too cluttered and busy, and the sheer scope was awesome for what the story was trying to do. It's a great story, especially since it's a well-handled one for rebooting continuity.
I think that's how the flash TV show should end with Barry stopping a super weapon and him stuck in the speed force turning into lightning then it going back to the very first episode but with the main and supporting cast who were in the city that night looking up at the star labs accident. Barry narrating about the lessons he learned over the series ending with a PoV shot of the lightning bolt zooming towards the crime lab. And the final words you hear is "My name is Barry Allen, and I am the fastest man alive or I will be in a moment." cut to black just as the lightning hits Barry with the main theme horns.

I think it wouldn't be making sence anymore because Eobart Thawne made that lighting to hit Barry because he want to make The Flash

What I love about DC is that if necessary they Reboot everything, that only similarity that I remember from Anime is Stone Ocean.
The flash is honestly the best hero in DC. Hands down, he's the guy you can rely on when the chips are down and he can outrun any danger even death literally.

when this was out in the mid 80's i went back and collected each issue that happened in the past. since my first issue of the crisis on infinite earths was already on i think issue 10 so i went back and collected the previous issues. wasn't easy to get since in my city their was no comic book stores except one which was a guy who had a bunch of lots of old and older comics book non bagged and boarder just in boxes and was in small shop in near the Spokane fox theater. i got a couple from him if i remember right or from local book stores had a section of old comics books to buy . wasn't till around 1988 i found a local comics store were i think i got the rest of the crisis on infinite earths issues since i only started out on 10 and the lat 2 issues.

@@Dimmary thxs i'm middle age i was just a teenager at the time around 16 or 17 was a DC comics reader and collector from 1986 till 1992. and yes i still most my DC comics except few i sold like my D & D comics and elf quest comics and at the time i was collecting both marvel and DC comics at the time. but i sold or traded most my marvel comics off and most my marvel conman comics. i just kept a very few wolverine number one issue and the very first x men comic issue that Jim lee did and signed by him and some other comics like the hellraiser comics based on the movies and undertaker comics and some adult and lovecraft comics.
absolutely loved your telling of the story. You left things out that didn't affect the overall plot one way or another ie; the flash. I'm sure many listeners and readers of the story would agree when Superman punched the Antimonitor out of existence initial response was "why didn't he do that 11 issues ago". Then reality sets in and "oh yeah we wouldn't have a story". Keep up the great work, you're the next closest in the comic book community to reach a milly in sub's good luck brother and Rob Corps SPREAD THE WORD!!!
Crisis on Infinite Earths was a very bittersweet story. On the one hand, it was a well-told story and led to the best status quo in DC history. On the other hand, I loved all those crazy Earths and was sad to see them go. I know they were a roadblock to new readers, but all those wild stories had so much imagination and potential. And this was great final send-off to some of those crazy characters of yesteryear like Cave Carson, etc.
So, since I don't think they can do this story justice (Ha) in 3 or 4 episodes, I'm hoping that this will be the main focus of all the shows next season. They did specifically say coming in fall of 2019. Imagine a crossover SEASON. I'd be stoked for it.

Ready Player Two Lmao... How are they supposed to introduce Anti-Monitor when they barely have half of the Justice League? Ok well I guess they’re not really needed. But the main reason for COIE in the comics was because there were too many Universes. In the Arrowverse, they said that there were “infinite earths”, and then in Crisis On Earth X, they say that there’s 52 Earths, but “X” is the one that was newly found, which makes it 53, iirc. Now in the comics, there were INFINITE UNIVERSES in the DC Multiverse, which was too many. So to get rid of them, they created the “COIE”. Anti-Monitor destroyed most of DC, and that resulted to the “New 52” Arc. I bet they won’t even have the Anti-Monitor in the CW😂
@@alirahman8642 well there's 52 earths that are different. The rest are mirror earths. Each earth has it's set of mirror earths that is the exact same. Oh and new earths can be created. That was mentioned in season 2 of the flash when they talked about new earths being created due to changing the timeline. I remember them saying flashpoint exists and is still going on at another earth. So the infinite earths could just be coppies that don't matter to the universe or it could be lazy writing.

I never really followed these books, but I’m with the CW shows since day 1, and now I needed to learn about this storyline that is coming up next year. Lots of ‘tubers who comment on the shows have been saying this is coming.

Infinite Crisis would be a good one to do..and I know I am probably not the first person who might think this but I think Mr. Oz is Alexander Luthor Jr....he might be working with Dr. Manhattan instead of Ozymandias.....I mean Geoff Johns did write Infinite Crisis and was responsible for Rebirth....or maybe ALJr is trying to fix/disrupt/fight what Dr M is doing in Rebirth and collecting those he can use against him. ALJr tried doing a lot of the same things that appear to be going on in Rebirth in Infinite Crisis. Buuuuut, just wanted to throw that out there....there are tons of other possibilities too, but think that has a strong shot.
When you have read the comics and seem to not get the whole picture and misunderstood some of the things here is rob dissecting and explaining it all to u.

Well rebirth is fixing that. In DC Rebirth Wally tells Barry that creating flashpoint didn't create the new 52. Somone used flashpoint to mess with the universe

Chrona used a computer to witness the creation of the universe. But the page wasn’t opening up fast enough for his liking, so in frustration he tries again and again to open the page, clicking his mouse frantically. Let’s say 51 times, and after finally getting it to load up he sees the birth of the universe. Finally satisfied, he closes it out and leaves the computer. But he forgot to close out all of those other pages. Those other pages somehow manifest themselves into alternate universes. All of this could have been avoided if the Guardians weren’t using cheap WiFi.

It's basically DC's version of Infinity War, except, COIE has a wayyyy more powerful villain. Anti-Monitor would OBLITERATE thanos even with the stones
this helped fill in some gaps about krona and unintentionally, volthoom. I'm happy to know that Korna screwing everyone over to fufill his desires is a constant in the history of DC

I have to pause watching and give you kudos where virtually every other TH-cam post regarding what happened to Barry Allen gets it wrong. Barry does not die when running in reverse of the anti-matter cannon. He actually becomes one (kind of Neo-like) with a combination of the Time Stream and The Speed Force. It will take him 20 years (Earth time relative) to reappear out of the ether of that cosmic convergence he has become.
Marv Wolfman & George Pérez = partnership made in heaven. Crisis is one of those works of art that makes my heart beat harder and sends waves of euphoria down my spine 😊

And sorry but you're completely wrong about the Controllers . They didn't go to the Antimatter universe nor did they spawn Quard . Check out the Darkstars for the Controllers' story .
The problem I've always had with this story is the the author clearly doesn't know what Infinite means.
History of Video Games Which shouldn't work because no matter how many you converged there would still be more.
They converged into 52 universes that could be counted. So there is still way more earths out there that survived Crisis. So don't confuse yourself on the matter.

The "Earth 2" one shot featured The Crime Syndicate from Earth in the Anti-Matter Universe. Their Superwoman (an evil version of Wonder Woman) is Lois Lane.

Marvel is a mess. DC is much more structured and easy to follow. Marvel is all over the place constantly rebooting because nothing is selling
