This show taught me what it would be like to have a loving family... The athmosphere is so beautiful and cozy... Each and every time I watch this, I come home in this athmosphere ....
I love this show. Milicent. Dorothy Jane. The house is gorgeous and all the older appliances are cool too. Show should have lasted longer in this house especially.
cdman40 definitely could’ve been a girl meets world type of show. The girl meets world they created a few years ago had no serious lessons to it at all.
A true man of God wouldn't look at what society tells us to look at. He'd look at who she is. Millicent is beautiful. However, being 35 and about to be newly divorced myself, after years of being ignored and neglected romantically by my husband, I feel her pain. I feel like an idiot and I'm totally clueless. My self-esteem isn't what it once was and all I know is being a mom now. This hit me when I was a kid about my own mother, and now it hits me about myself. Thank God our kids see us as beautiful, no matter what we see.
I am OBSESSED with the Victorian architecture and vintage decorations in Millicent's house! That is exactly my kind of style; ultra-feminine, frilly and vintage-inspired. How were they supposed to be poor owning a stunning, huge house like that?
Houses are cheaper in the South like a small town in Oklahoma. They could also have inherited the house from a relative. One of my mom's cousins has a house that was built by her husband's great great great great grandfather. It's just passed down through the children.
Yes. A lot of people in the south inherited the family home but are otherwise poor. I think all of the Victorian decorations were meant to emphasize that they couldn't afford anything new. New furniture during that time late 80s/early 90s would have been shiny black lacquer.
befor I started watching this amazing wonderful show like Monday to be aunest I never heard of this show ever I was just scrolling through my phone 📱 and I came upon it accidentally so I thought I would see what it was about and what it was like today is now Wednesday Jan.31st 2024. and I'm now on episode 8. and you know something I'm wondering to myself why I haven't seen this a heck of a lot sooner now I can't stop watching it I'm enjoying very much and look st that there are two people that use to be on the show THE Walton's the woman was playing as Mrs Godsey that her husband owned the General Store and the older gentleman played as a boyfriend of Rose's Olivias cousin ❣️❣️ thank you so much 💗
Altho I enjoy watching shows like this, gives me a depressing feeling as well, makes me puke thinking about nowadays modern society... Wish I had a time machine...
Ugh a telephone is a necessity. And we were poor but always had tvs ( my grandfather was a TV repair man 😂) and the TV I had in my house when my son was a baby 🍼 had literally been in our family for 3 generations. The " flawed logic" here is YOURS.
Dorothy Jane was so annoying. No single man wants a divorce women with 5 children even as a woman I would not want a man with a bunch of children either
This was a quality show on all levels. Olivia Burnett was an exceptional actress, especially for her age.
I love Mr. Hodges! He’s such a kind, grandfatherly guy with a lot of wisdom.
This is a beautiful example of a daughter idolizing her mother out of sincere care and awe of natural beauty!!

I wish this show had been around for a lot longer it has the heart of boy meets world from the same producers

Yep, it was a good show but not as good as BOY MEETS WORLD was.
Sami LO It was awful wasn’t it? So incredibly fake.
@@SamiLo2i thought it was because the producers couldnt write good female lead characters until i saw this show.
Mr. Hodges is a true gentlemen.

You're only 35? You're still so young. I got married for the first time at 36 and had a baby at 42!
At 20:15 all of the men stood up when Mrs. Torkleson entered the room. A perfect example of the excellent quality of this show.
That was so touching!
I definitely AND genuinely liked this show.

Ah. Back when gentlemen stood when a lady entered the room..
A mid-Twin Peaks Michael Horse and that amazing voice of his!!
My most favorite episode.
Is that blonde kid with glasses Minkus?
Yes
@@Asukenick thanks.
And later on after Marvin aka Mouth on One Tree Hill.
Yes that was me.
Yes he is ❤
Is that Deputy Hawk? He's a long way from Twin Peaks, Washington.
We need more quality shows like this instead of the trash thats on today.
the name Oklahoma comes from "land of the Indian," so their Lamanite (Indian) friend in Oklahoma really sells this!
Love this show makes me happy good family 🙏❤️
Im wearing this because its the most comfortable thing i have
Me like af lol
Dorthy Jane is the perfect daughter
she over dose it at times
I would reconsider having kids if my teenage daughter/son ended up being like her.
@@alyssarose3880you can teach them to be that way. As long as you take the time to care for your kids, theyll be fine
Excellent tv show love this the torkelsons did not like almost home
Happy Thanksgiving 2023.

Where did they go to watch the football game they were talking by the front door and walked into the wall.
They went into the parlor.
Steven Floyd Torkelson never wanted to help with the decorations!! That was selfish!!
What kid would?
Dorothy-Jane was a very good daughter.
9:46 Steven Floyd’s face🤣🤣
Ruth Ann only had 1 line in the entire episode at 19:49
The Claaawww Ruth Anne has not many lines on the show at all. She is boring
Fault of the writers.
I loved 😍 this show as a kid ❤
Fun Fact: The actress who played the mother she was in the movie SPEED 2: CRUISE CONTROL, she was the lady in the lepord dress.
she also play in that movie with the lil mouse
HI there if you are talking about the movie Stwerat Little that wasn't her that was Gena Davis.
OK I see, it has been a while since I saw that movie on TV that's why I don't remember her in it.
She was also in hope floats with sandra bulock
And The Brady Bunch Movie she’s the best part😂
both guys are cute
The real episode 7!!
Yes
I like David a lot better, I think Millicent does too.
dorothy jane you're mom needs hlep
Why does everyone have two names
It's a southern thing.
Thats country.....family still calls me Kenny Wayne...okc born and raised
My grandmother grew up out in the country in the Deep South and her family did that
It's a first and middle name. Not a southern thing as the one comment implied
@@Crissy991lol nah they got it right
cool
Flaw in logic they can't afford a 100 dollars of groceries but they have television and telephone service

Fyi there are Five kids 😂 that takes up a whole lot of " resources".
A working woman needs a phone 🤳 that much should be OBVIOUS
❤😊
mark love you
"you used to be so pretty"
Was decent except the native that kept making racist comments to people that were nothing but nice to him. Everyone else was likeable.
I pick the Indian!
Dorothy Jane was so annoying. No single man wants a divorce women with 5 children even as a woman I would not want a man with a bunch of children either

ccondesa27 where on earth is the uploader suppose to find the latin version? Too bad.
@@curlyyasmin181 it's the internet. I'm sure somewhere its there. Or can be made.
I'll see what I can do. :)
I survived the 90s but I never heard of this show
Good episode
