Here I am again to talk about the oddball of all these announcements. The Guyver on 4K caught me completely by surprise, as I had no idea it was coming. The Guyver and its sequel, Guyver 2: Dark Hero are PHENOMENAL practical effects romps based on the original "Guyver" anime and manga. Well worth the cost, I assure you. To my great delight, not only will this be absolutely stacked with new special features across 2 discs, but as it turns out the film itself...will be the long-awaited 4K restoration of the original R-Rated Director's Cut. Needless to say, I just finished pre-ordering it through your Amazon link. I sincerely hope this release is super successful so that 'Unearthed' will do the sequel, which is arguably the better of the two. Thank you for all that you do, sir!

Denzel actually won that Oscar, his first, best supporting before winning lead years later for Training Day, not unlike Kevin Spacey who won his first in supporting for The Usual Suspects before winning lead a few years later for American Beauty. 🎥

Just in the past 23 years 2000-2023 there has been around 13,000 movie releases in just the US and Canada. To say someone isn’t a film fan off of 1 movie is ridiculous

I preordered the Taxi Driver steelbook as I didn’t own the one a part of the Columbia collection… I wish Lionsgate would give some 20th anniversary treatment to “Beyond the Sea” the Bobby Darin biopic played by Kevin Spacey. That was a great movie, great singing and dancing from Spacey and very underrated. I can’t even find a blu-ray copy of it anywhere and not sure if they ever released one after the original DVD was released.
Robocop (remake ), RoboCop 2, La Femne Nikita, The Guyver & The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
Although I'm often reluctant to double dip and I'm not obsessed with collecting steelbooks, I do really want that steelbook of Taxi Driver - even though I already own the disc that was in that Columbia Classics set. 😁
The other big one for me this month is Criterion's 4K upgrade of Blue Velvet.
Meanwhile, I'm on the fence about Chinatown. I've seen it once and I liked it but I don't know that it's one I need to own. I'll wait to see the reviews before I decide.
Why no 4k steelbook for robocop 2 we have the first film on steelbook. looks like i have to wait for that to come out just not interested in the 4k slipcover box version

I plan on buying 4k of CHINATOWN and AMERICAN GIGOLO and PURPLE RAIN. Even though already own these on video. Plus I met Jack Nicholson and Faye dunaway and lauren Hutton ! Faye is THE NICEST actress I ever met and Hutton was another one of the best actresses I ever met! She had my personality “down pat”; she only met me and within 2 minutes, she and my best friend were ranking out on me! AND after meeting her for only 5 minutes, 5 -FIVE- YEARS LATER, she REMEMBERED ME! Only after meeting me for 5 minutes only and after 5 years. Hutton and dunaway best actresses and the most friendliest.
Won't be getting Immaculate at all,not into horror movies.Now Sci-Fi horror,I'm all in.
I have Godzilla x Kong pre-ordered already. Tempted to change it to the set but at the same time, I already own all the titles on either 4k or BluRay. Ghostbusters will be added to my collection as well at some point. Just not at $38 (Canadian) for the standard 4k. South Park for sure and possibly Team America. But for me, those are $20 titles at most. At this time, I'm more just trying to build up my 4k collection and upgrade my DVDs. So if I can get a few titles for the same price as 1. I'll probably hold out. If Godzilla wasn't one of my favourites. I wouldn't pay full price for that either.
How have you never seen Chinatown? This is a neo noir classic. I think you’ll really dig it.

Arrow videos The Long Good Friday 4k and Crimson Peak 4k, and Criterion Collection Raging Bull 4k along with Glory, were great for me, from this May, up to now. I've noticed the UKs release of Chinatown, sadly not getting The Two Jakes with it, but a special features disc. Maybe waiting for a Two Jakes 4k release in the future.

Including The Two Jakes takes some sting out of the Chinatown price. I'm not paying $46+ for the Taxi Driver 4K. I ordered the Robocop 2 4K with the extra slip and posters, although I intend to sell one of the slips. I had preordered La Femme Nikita and Karate Kid steelbooks along with Once Upon a Time in the West through Target on their last B2G1 sale, but they screwed me and cancelled the order even though preorders were included. I haven't re-ordered because it stings after the prices I thought I had on those.
Ken I just watched Glory and it was pretty good I think you'll like it. He is no longer Ferris he is Colonel Shaw 👀 and he fights the rebs!!!
That Team America release kind of stings and seems like it came out of nowhere. For years I was trying to get a good friend of mine to watch the film (we rented it in 2005 but he fell asleep within the first ten minutes) and we finally watched it a few months ago. 🤦♂
Saw Purple Rain as a kid, but the funny thing is, I saw it as part of a double feature with Gremlins. Those are not really two films that go well together, but that's when I saw either for the first time.
I canceled my GRUV order of Purple Rain, because it only has the 4K. I ordered the UK steelbook from Zavvi, because it includes both the 4K and blu-ray.
I'm jus in for GxK, RBC2 & PRain...Stopmotion and all the rest i can wait til BF.....

"Godzilla x Kong: TNE" was a far better theatrical experience for me in terms of the story's flow than "Godzilla vs Kong"'s choppy vignette story stylings were. The latter's issues stemmed from WB's creative interference and a set of ridiculous reshoots they mandated which gutted the human characters, giving them paper thin motivations and trivializing Monarch. A rumoured 27 minutes of footage was cut from the original screening print with VFX still a work in progress that was shown to Legendary and WB executives and their invited audience in fall 2019. Those choices marred the film's overall narrative. Instead of being an effective, connected followup to "Kong: Skull Island" and "Godzilla: KOTM" as was originally envisioned, the final cut of "GvK" ended up, a stand alone film. If it felt to you as it did to me that was more to "GvK", it's because there was. We didn't get to see it in the theatre or its physical media releases as extended or deleted scenes. Again, mandated by WBHV suits since they wanted to avoid the inevitable fan backlash that would have followed.
I pre-ordered the 5 monster movie pack. This will be great because I didn’t own any of them.

What you mean is, that's how you do it. If I'm shopping for a weed eater on Amazon and the first one has bad reviews, I go on to the next one. I don't buy the bad one and say "let me make sure that it's actually bad." @markpugh6808

The only movies I’m looking forward to in June are Species II 4K and also Godzilla X Kong The New Empire 4K don’t necessarily need the Robocop 2 on 4K or Robocop remake on 4K either since I got them all on blu ray and I’m fine with that versions too but that’s just me though Kenny bro 😎 and great 👍 video too btw
