    I'm currently stuck at a 9 handicap and plan to incorporate your teaching ( solely ) this year. I'm liking what I see and hear and hope this will be a breakthrough for me. My tendency has been to jump from one tip to another, but this approach has failed to improve my swing and my golf game. Will keep you posted ! (P.S.Love watching your videos as they are clear and concise.) Cheers Mike.

    As a dismal player my whole life…infrequent lessons, inconsistent practice, irregular play, you’ve given me hope and inspiration. As a senior now, I hope to break 100.

      Start behind the ball for sure, and focus on the actions of the hips/pivot.

    Gold dust, , would love to have a balanced finish but something is awry with my swing cause I’m always off balance. I hit a lot of hooks and blocks with driver but still manage a 4 hcap. Would love to get to 2. Thanks for your help today

      I'd bet a dollar you are early extending the hips towards the ball. Look for my pivot/ hip action videos.

    Steve I think the best part of the Austin swing is you are chasing/guessing as to what the power source is... so i can relax over shots and I am know I am not goose anything. Every ball I hit is solid. I am working now on rolling left arm/bend through the release. In that effort I was shocked the ball didn’t hook. It goes dead straight and if anything it has tighten up my ball flight. Thanks again for the wonderful videos.

    What a great looking driving range. How hard is it to put yardage signs out like this? Answer: Easy. But most driving ranges can't be bothered.

    Hi Steve I am interested in becoming a member however I am confused, in the Mike Dunaway video on grip and stance you promote on your site he talks about left thumb directly on top, this video says that is what amateurs do wrong. Before investing money I would like to know there is consistency, thanks Peter

    • @Inmotion70
      @Inmotion70  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Of course there's always a little wiggle room in the grip...Hogan didn't do too bad with the thumb on top. But understand that the thumb on top is considered a weak grip that puts your swing on a slice bias to begin with. A 1'clock grip, or even 1:30 (as 99% of PGA players have it) is considered neutral and has many more advantages too.

    For years I have been taught to "feel" like I stay closed to the target at impact, and turn the knuckles down to close the clubface. No wonder my game has never improved after all these years.

    • @Inmotion70
      @Inmotion70  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Knuckles down is one way to do it. I prefer another way of applying face squaring torque.

    High level players have an understanding of spin mechanics on the ball, conscious or unconsciously, and control the ball to their liking. It's nothing to do with swing mechanics as much as grasping how the ball flies using spin. I learned this way and do well with what I've got to work with within my putting issues.

  • @gatesmw50
    @gatesmw50 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    To begin with, the pros play and practice way more than we do. They also can control the distance on their irons better than we do.

    • @Inmotion70
      @Inmotion70  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      What is the area that you vary the most from a tour pro? Grip? Setup? Let's identify that one area and try to improve on it.

    • @gatesmw50
      @gatesmw50 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Inmotion70 Too steep with the driver & fairway woods.

    • @deakanutz
      @deakanutz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vegas.. Hands down no question, not even debatable, is the Pro's have an incredible and precise short game. This includes their putting being phenomenal. Both of these areas are even better than you can comprehend. The Pro's all hit the ball pretty darn close to equal week after week, unless they are having driver issues sometimes spraying it. But, the guy that wins each week is the guy that putted the best that week. Tiger in his heyday was hands down the best putter on tour. Yet the real answer I gave doesnt fit Steve's agenda which is the full swing. Pros spend twice as much time on short game including putting as full shots. Amateurs hardly practice short game cause everyone wants to impress on the first tee with a long drive in fairway yet triple the hole after he misses green on approach then chili dips and three putts. Pros miss a green on their approach shot and save par and sometimes chip in for birdie. This is the difference in scorecards. Sorry but facts are facts.

  • @MrLuigiFercotti
    @MrLuigiFercotti 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The difference between the pros and amateurs is about 3.7 light years.

    • @Inmotion70
      @Inmotion70  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. So how will you make that 3.6 light years?
