Very interesting to see how much film is needed for a film just that long

@@clintonhunt9733 the thing is it's not though. there is originally supposed to be included a title card that stated the date that it was after the civil war during the Reconstruction era. James Baskett received the first Oscar for an African American man for his role as Uncle Remus singing Zip-a-Dee Doo Dah in the film. The NAACP has recognized Nick Stewart, the voice of Brer Bear, as an honorary legend for his bday career advancing black roles and opportunities, using the money he made from Disney's Song of the South to start the Ebony Showcase Theater where black performers could get better roles to play and advance their exposure. Song of the South was intended to represent togetherness, and portrays Uncle Remus as a hero to the boy, and there is no mention of racial prejudice in the entire movie. The problem lies that people don't know that it takes place after the civil war, and Uncle Remus is a free man just like in the original stories by Joel Chandler Harris. So it is not offensive to me or in my opinion. It is noteworthy and progressive for it's time. I think people are open minded enough to allow it to exist, and make up their own minds about it.

Cool. I think this is the same film I have. My father owns it, but I have it in a box for safe keeping. Maybe I’ll try to do a video of the box and the film in it? But I won’t be able to play it, as I do not have a projector. I searched for the title and here is your wonderful video. Thank you for sharing, I was wondering what was on my old film? Now I don’t have to wonder anymore, because this must be what is on it? Really cool to see this. I genuinely thank you for sharing this video; otherwise, I would’ve never known what was on my reel.

It's sad that this movie can't be on Disney Plus.
