- Hi Star Wars collectors! Welcome to episode 222 of Ask Bossk's Bounty. Not olny do we have a bunch of great questions but it is also 7 years today since I created the channel. I thank you all for the support!
This weeks questions include: Should all Vintage Collection HasLabs be large vehicles? Would I be ok with more TVC deluxe figures each year? Will Hasbro ever make a new Hoth Stormtrooper in The Vintage Collection? Would Hasbro make a Jedi 4 pack which includes random aliens like they have done with the pilots? Which version of Boba Fett (that hasn't been made yet) would I like in TVC? Does a Sandtrooper need to be 100% accurate or is a repainted Stormtrooper ok? Plus loads more!!

Baze Malbus is a perfect deluxe figure as he couls get the rocket launcher, weapon and some other stuff, then the card version he just has his weapon and backpack. Pao, Bistan and some of the others wouls have been nice, it's daft we have all the villains ( besides Tarkin) for Rogue one, the tank, but not the actual team
I'm a relative newbie - started collecting during Covid era (started with Vintage Kenner and slowly got addicted to the modern lines and inevitably TVC), so maybe 4 years max I've been watching your channel. It's flown by tbh! Happy birthday MTFBWY!!!

Yes it should be a big vehicle or something we could never get any other way like a Death Star playset
BB, I would say requesting named (background) figures in the 4packs is what you already don't like about the 4packs, you can't troop build with named figures.
Also BB! To battle the yellowing of your figures. Take a clear glass, fill half hydrogen peroxide half water, make sure that your figure is completely submerged and leave out in the sun. You will see the yellow go away. Keep soaking till the yellow is all gone. Doesn't hurt the paint.
I have used hydro before but the yellowing can come back. There is a big difference between main characters like Tusken Chieftan or Captain Enoch ruining an army builder pack to a pack of 4 characters that are in the background.

Hey Bossk! Great video as always! Probably one of the nerdiest questions ever for next week: Unknown to most, but the Cloud Car Pilot the TVC Figure was based on is the other Cloud Car Pilot. The one the original Kenner figure is based on is named Jell Spiel. He doesnt have a mustache. Hasbro made Duncan Hiktmat, who does have a mustache. The TVC figure’s outfit is based on concept art, much like the original Kenner version as a full outfit for these pilots has never been depicted. By using the concept art as a base the TVC figure doesn’t even match what little of the miniature models we can see in the film. For example in the film the visors are a solid black and the head cloth thing he wears should be a medium to dark grey. On the TVC figure the visors are yellow and the cloth is almost a very light grey. Considering you have stated you want the figures depicted on the cardbacks of original 96 figures, and what little Hasbro could have gotten right they didn’t by choosing to emulate the concept art, do you believe there is any cause to want an updated (slightly tooled) Cloud Car Pilot figure? I think it’d be a nice opportunity to get the figure back out into the line while offering collectors who have the original figure value in getting a new one.
How about a carded Bespin 3-pack. Ugnaught, Pedar Solardo Bespin Guard and Jell Spiel Cloud Car Pilot?
Sand-Troopers, for a original Star Wars version, as I've mentioned a few times on the channel should have Triangular sniper/knee plate, different chest section, no drop/waist pouches ...and as to the helmet, the difference would be the brow-line, Stunt Helmet is probably a a strecth as the differences are so subtle - a bog standard would be good.

QFNW: From a toyetic point of view, where would you want to see LucasFilm take Star Wars? Would you want to see the world of the Old Republic, Crimson Dawn, Heir to the Empire as far as the books went? And then what toys would you want from them? As always, keep up the great work 🍻
Agree 100% snowtrooper needs a new mold hopefully any 4pack and since they have to do the snowtrooper commander a very slight retool! but even the black series 3.75 one is just.. not good enough.
On the rebels crew i really hope Hera and Ezra are coming soon they are a must have.. as well as Sabine really on a cardback- and Where is Kallus.. he's such an easy retool of imperial officer!
Hasbro just don't seem to 'get' how many retools/repaints they have in their hands.

At this point, I would prefer more playsets than vehicles. The Death Star could me multiple playsets that could be used individually or combined to create a larger environment. I like the idea of a Hoth base or a Yavin war room. A new Ewok village could be cool or a Star Destroyer bridge or a Lars homestead. Ships are great but they don’t provide a “world” for the characters to live in.

I’d like loads more vehicles in the TVC line. HasLab or otherwise. I’m all about ships and vehicles. my favorite thing to collect.
Great four pack idea for the sandtrooper. I think they should put the orange pauldron on a cardback and put one white pauldron with 3 black pauldron sandtroopers in a 4 pack. They can also put the dark grey pauldron version with a dewback like they did back in the day with the power of the force collection

One idea for a new Vlog/Vid could be Bossk on Tour where you go and see other collectors and see/view/discuss their collections. Two that spring to mind is The Keith Guppy Museum and perhaps Only One Kenobi.

There are three main variations of the OT Stormtrooper helmets: ANH "Stunt" (used for Sandtroopers and mostly for background troopers), ANH "Hero" (these are the helmets that Luke and Han wore, as well as most close up shots of the Stormtroopers), and the ROTJ helmets (which were completely remolded for the film). The Rogue One helmets are sort of a hybrid of the ANH Stunt and Hero helmets (they also upgraded the design, putting in sculpted details that were originally just stickers on the OT screen-used helmets). To make matters more confusing, ROTJ helmets were used for the additional Sandtrooper scenes in the Special Edition release of ANH. The differences between all of these helmets are subtle, but once you train your eyes to see them, you can never unsee them. So, in a way, being able to spot those differences might be more of a curse than a blessing. ;)

In honor of the Phantom Menace re-release in theaters, I’d like a TVC Naboo security guard or palace guard. I still have an original Naboo Royal Securityfrom the Episode 1 line. Would love to see him updated or even a captain Panaka.

I’d be up for it especially as they’ve not been re-done since the Saga releases.

Congratulations on 7 years on the TH-cams!!! QFNW - We're roughly 1 year out from Star Wars Celebration Japan. And as collectors we're always wondering about the exclusives. What are your thoughts about a TVC exclusive for Celebration Japan? Could this be an opportunity for TVC to offer characters from the first season of Star Wars Visions? Season one featured the work of a number of Japanese animation studios. And the Ronin would be an excellent choice from that series, and this could be a great way for Hasbro to celebrate Japanese culture in the process.

Congrats on seven years! Appreciate the shoutout! I think the sandtrooper left knee armor was only ever done correctly in The Black Series 6". Basically it's a different raised diamond shape than the regular stormtroopers have, but the same overall vibe. It's not the end of the world if they don't get it right in a future TVC version, but it's a small detail that I would appreciate them finally addressing in 3.75".

Do think Hasbro will every sell ever sell accessory packs or modular components for playsets, like they did with the cantina bar sections back in the day? Maybe something as simple as Deathstar wall segments with a floor/base...or Echo base walls/tunnels that can connect.

Happy 7 years to this amazing channel! I’ve been watching since I heavily got into TVC in 2020 but I knew about your channel a bit prior to that, it was your channel that inspired me to go off the deep end into 3.75 😂
As for vehicles would like to see get made for army builder collectors is Laat/i Republic Gunship, Laat/c Republic Carrier, AT-TE Enforcer to blue print scale.
1. LAAT/i Republic Gunship Lucky Lekku with two phase one Clone Pilots Hawk helmet design, and can carry two barc speeders.
2. LAAT/i Republic Gunship Bad Kitty with two phase 1 Clone pilots with Odd Ball helmet design can carry two Barc speeders.
3. LAAT/i Republic Gunship Separatist Nightmare with two Clone Pilots and 1 special ops clone air vibration detection clone trooper.
4. AT-TE Enforcer with two Clone Tank Drivers, One Clone Tank Gunner in desert Camo and can carry two AT-RT Scout Walkers with lowing platform.
5. AT-ET Enforcer with two Clone Tank Drivers, Clone Tank Gunner and can carry up to 20 troop seats.

The AT-RT is a popular choice and would be a great combo if they announced the gunship reissue/retool where an AT-RT could fit inside, but the question is should it come with a driver?
Assuming the wave before as delays can happen- has a plain AT-RT driver in it, and a 4 pack of plain/501st/212th/41st(green) came out after do you think it needs a packed in figure?
Also if Hasbro for some reason.. they'd have to be silly.. don't want to repaint it a couple of times how would you feel about 501st/212th sticker sets to apply to the vehicle over the default standard colouring?

Will hasbro ever think about doing a ebon hawk ship would make a good haslab if they threw in darth revan, HK=47, Bastille shan, Canderous Ordo, Carth Onasi, Calo Nord, Juhani, Mission Vao and an updated Darth Malek and sith troopers. Would also be a good way to just do a old republic line with characters that has not got made like kreia, Darth Sion Vitiate, tenebrae, and updates for Exar Kun, Ulic qel droma and Darth nihilus

Original trilogy first, many in there need to be a thing. Sandcrawler, Imp shuttle, modern ATAT would probably be a HasLab.
Though i am really not sure, what would be normal production vehicles these days. Like, will we ever see a new Y-wing?
or would that be a HasLab, since Hasbro isn't producing bigger vehicles like they used to.

They just need to expand the budget to allow 2 more ways with anywhere between 4-6 newly tooled figures and we would be pretty good. Pace of the haslabs and vehicles is good. We deserve more newly tooled figures a years. As collectors of tvc we made hasbro money start to invest in us. Or people are going to walk away.

I thought of this some time back, and it just recurred to me. I would like to see a cameo set of storm troopers. That is stormtroopers with removable helmets, including Daniel Craig, the Prince of Wales, the Duke of York, etc. I have my doubts about likenesses being approved, but i still like the idea. Your thoughts? In a related vein - reissue the Holiday troopers as TVC sets. Frankly, i like them. They're striking and often humorous.

Great vid as always. QFNW. We have gotten several characters from the Kenobi series in TVC, the Black Series, even the Retro collection. Figures like Reva, NED-8, the Grand Inquisitor, even a Jawa. Why have we not gotten two characters that were a huge part of the story: young Luke and Leia? I think young Luke would be easy, Hasbro could reuse slave boy Anakin with some re-tooling and re-painting. Young Leia would obviously require a new figure. Do you think we could ever see these two figures?
I first came across your channel looking for reviews of the Millennium Falcon, Smugglers Run. That was during the pandemic lockdowns and have been here ever since. But it doesn't feel that long.

QFNW, I just recieved Professor Huyang and while it is a great sculpt I have to admit I am really disappointed with the paint app. Very bland, wrong colour etc. I have an opener for display and a carded version so i can customise the opener. Why of all the recent great figures we are getting did they pick this one to cheap out on? Very dissapointing! Keep up all the brilliant work you do.👏👏👏

I’m thinking that new Leia looks amazing, although I kit bashed the medical frigate figure and the otvc figure to get a pretty decent one. Would love a new farm boy Luke with a head sculpt that actually looks like mark hamill. Which leads to my qfnw: which Luke headsculpt do you find to be the best likeness? I think they got Harrison ford pretty well with the recent endor han but still searching for that good Luke sculpt. For the record, I think endor capture Luke is the best likeness, with the lightsaber construction version next best. And they should decide what colour his hair really is. 😅 cheers!
Greetings Bossk! I've been watching your show now for about 4 years (?). I stumbled onto your channel right around the Covid shutdown. At the time, I was nearly done with collecting. After some financial problems I was suffering at the time where I had to sell off my entire collection of vintage Star Wars toys just to keep my family and my house, the joy of collecting had nearly been stripped from me completely. It really was a dark time for me and when I discovered your channel, it sort of brought me back. Certainly, I've had to let go of the fact that my original collection is gone, but I found new joy in collecting TVC because of you. Anyway, my apologies for the rant.
QFNW (please feel free to skip over my previous rambling if you feature my question), I really enjoy your reviews of older toys/figures in the Star Wars line. I just recently found the Rebel Transport Speeder, something I had missed when it originally released. I know there are a couple versions of this set. It's a great little vehicle and figure and I love the world-building aspect of sets like this and wish Hasbro would do more of these kinds of releases. Do you think Hasbro will ever return to making these kinds of obscure sets again, or do you think they're just going to focus on the most iconic aspects of the franchise? Thanks again for all you do!

Hey Bossk happy 7th anniversary of the channel! Ive been watching since the pandemic pretty much, I think that’s right when I started to get back into collecting. My QFNW would be what do you think constitutes a “background character” getting a figure made of them or not?
