Try the railway. It's an unique experience. I travelled from Moscow to Khabarovsk on the Trans Siberian Railway. Later went to Vladivostok!

The temperature that you are referring to is specific to Omyakon in the Sakha Republic. In Yakutsk, the temperature can go down to -52 degrees.
I don't know when, but one day I will definitely visit.
