Russian Village is amazing. Host and her kids are also lovely & amazing🙂 The one thing that bothers me is the usage of so much firewood. Lots of trees are getting chopped down in this process and it also may cause smoke pollution inside the home. Russia has one of the largest reserves of natural gas in the world. Most of which are being exported to European countries. My POV is that I hope the government can lay down gas pipes / provide bulk gas cylinders to these kinds of villages so that instead of burning excessive firewood, they can burn CNG / LPG for warming their homes during winters. Since, they are also on excess of electricity, govt can also provide one electric coil based heater system per home (either free or subsidized) so that people living like in these villages can keep themselves warm during harsh winters.
Global warming is a blessing to Russia
don't worry! in the frame of 20:46 you can count at least 4 fallen trees. by law, anyone and everyone can take them from the forest. thus, you will make the forest more passable and less fire-hazardous. if you are sawing dead wood in the forest, the authorities will have no complaints against you, but you can't touch live trees. and, yes, Olga, being a city dweller, could buy a house in a village where there is pipeline gas, but houses there are two or three times more expensive, and she would have to heat it all winter, otherwise the heating pipes would burst. it's expensive if you don't live in the house all year round. Olga just bought herself a house in the village for summer living. she didn't need an expensive house with gas heating.

I love Russia and the Russian people. They are just so honest, welcoming, and confident. The host in the video is an amazing lady, full of pride, knows exactly what she is doing, and is connected to roots. She proudly says that I teach my kids, I love my village, etc...Hard to find such rockstars in this materialistic world, where people will stay depressed but would still stay in the big cities for some small money.

Olga is right. What's there in a city. You enjoy village life in the midst of nature. They need not buy anything. They grow all vegetables and fruits in the backyards and water coming in the pipelines are potable. Very interesting and lovely family. I have seen Om symbol with Uma's host Yugna in St Petersburg. Surprising Russians also keep Hindu gods symbols.

The heating system is similiar to Kashmir...we called this Here "Hamam"
And the system to prevent pipes get frozen in winter is also somewhat similar to Kashmir 👍

India and Russia can have good relations but cultural programs failed badly in the past. Its better to avoid it again because russian govt has a say in every such decision and hence it comes with a communist flavor which most of the Indians won't appreciate in 21st century.
