I just discovered your channel and I live in Maine as well! Have you checked out The Willows flea market in Mechanic Falls? It’s big and they have decent prices and have a mix of furniture and lots of other things. There’s also a couple flea markets in Oxford that are fun and have furniture.

I always keep a smaller tape measure in my purse, 6', great for thrifting and estate sales; a regular one in the glove box of the car, for yard sales and found treasures on the side of the road. I also have 3" x 5" cards in my purse with all the measurements of rooms, certain walls, windows, furniture and color swatches.
A buffet or side board, I doubt you're going to find something narrow at 10". I would think 15" -18" would be fine, so what if it sticks out a little bit.
The little table is really cute, perfect and looks in good condition - score #1!

I don't think you will find such a narrow 10" buffet. So whatever you buy, it will stick out. If you don't want that, you should put shelves in that space, and create a sort of bookcase. Or put doors in front.
I think I could go up to 15” in that spot so I’ll keep trying to find something 🤞🏻

Love the salvation army in Portland!! I also look for the thrift shops that support causes-- some animal shelters have thrift shops that use the sales as donations for the animals! Have fun!❤
