    Considering it's the middle of winter right now, the sound of the water and the birds is so soothing.

    Awesome review!! Just starting my search for my first ski. This one sounds like a perfect fit so far!!

      Hey Brian! Nice welcome to the fun. The GTX is a great one. If it helps, if you are looking to going out on longer runs and exploring while still having the power look at the GTX 170. If you are looking for just something fun to go out for a few hours but also rip it around and at a good price look at the GTI 170. If all you want is Speed then the RXT is right there but costs a lot and burns gas like a champ. Hope that helps in picking and please let me know what you end up with. Thanks for checking out the videos and for reaching out all the best!

    Hello from Australia! Great review… I just purchased a 2022 GTX 170 with the sound system and IDF… unfortunately a 6 month wait. Definitely going to get the fuel caddy and extra storage bag…

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Daniel, That is a great unit! my friend got that one as well. I am looking to add the speaker system to mine for next year cause his was so good. Yes get that fuel caddy and remember to replace the filling hose so it woks good for you. My friend has the knee pads and says its not really worth it but what you should look at and i am looking at getting is the Angled Gunwale Footrests Fishing$124.99 CAD in black. Gives you that extra protection for the side of your ski and great to put your foot up on when your just relaxing on it. Thanks for the comment and for watching have a great one out there!

    I noticed your marine railway, I’m looking for similar set up, did you get it in the Owen sound area? And how does it work with 2 sea doos on it??

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes I did get it in the Owen Sound area. The brand is Dock in a box and there is a dealer Hutten & Co. Land and Shore 177602 Grey County Rd 18, Owen Sound, ON N4K 5N5 They even came and set it up the first time to make sure it all worked. Yes you can get 2 Sea Doo's on it I have had my GTX and a GTI on it no issue. The set up comes with a hand winch and then we just got an electric winch as well as the main system and rigged that up. so when parked the fist sea doo is attached to the hand winch and the one on the water side is on the electric one. Then you can either use the hand one to launch the 2nd one or pull the electric one back up and clip it on and use that but they both work great. I really have enjoyed it make it so easy to get in and out with. Hope that helps and if you have any other questions please let me know. All the best Cheers!

    Hey thanks for the video. Did you take all the safely stickers off of the glove compartment cover? It is going to be the first thing I do when mine arrives home. What solvent did you use?

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for checking them out! Yes I did I took even the ones on he back off just gives it a clean look. I like what your doing what did you get? First they peel off pretty easy and then I just used "Goo Be Gone" to remove the glue that was left and that came off with not much effort.

    Like the spark is this gtx good with doing 180 and jumps and donuts and all that sort of fun stuff?

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The GTX is a bit to heavy to do what the spark can do. You can spin it and ok to jump. For that I would look at like a RTX it has the power to really get you going. The GTX is more for touring. Hope that helps cheers!

    What sort of fuel economy do you get on these adventures? With a full tank of gas what sort of distance do you find that you can cover before needing to refuel. Thanks and love the video!

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Nolan! Thanks so much for saying that. I just did a trip and I tracked it and did 180 KM before needing to put in the 15 L in the fuel caddy to get me back to the launch. But I have had mine 2 years and so not at peek fuel. I did a run and found that the 2021 GTX 170 will get you about 200 KM before gas. Now I will say that is in calm waters and winds. If there is any waves and wind you have to bring those number down as the unit is working harder. Hope that helps and again thanks for checking out the video and reaching out all the best Cheers!

      @MarkForrestAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Max! it is so worth getting. The holder is great to hold little things you need quick. The USB charger is a game changer. I use it almost every time out on the water. Keeps the cell phone charged and I use it to charge my GoPro batteries as well. Hope that help in the end get it you will like it and use it all the time. Thanks for watching and reaching out Cheers!

    Question, I have the stereo sysstem & speakers on mine. How do you control your battery power? Any ideas to ensure the ski doesnt die on you?

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Kevin, As far as I know there is no real way to control the power. When I had the sea doo on but not running I would just start it every 45 min and let it run for like 5 min. Now that I have installed that Garmin it shows me the voltage it is using and so far the pull is really not that bad. So like if you stick that 30 to 45 min you should be ok. Hope that helps! Thanks so much for reaching out and checking out the videos.

      Hi Kevin, If the jet ski isn't running the speaker system will shut off after 60 minutes. When running the jet ski and the battery for some reason is low, the speakers will shut off automatically. I hope this helps you out. Enjoy your watercraft and stay safe on the water!

    Have you ever towed with this ski?

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Quick answer is yes. I have towed wake boards and tubes on this unit. Just put it in Sports Mode and it will get the job no issues at all. Hope that helps and thanks for checking out the video and reaching out all the best Cheers!

    A 13 minute review, but you never take the seat off to look in the engine compartment?

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey yes I know and that was one regret that I had with this video. Looking back I should have just popped it open quick and you can see I do make mention of how to open it, but just did not cross my mind at the time. I was more going to try and show all the features the people would be using on a day to day basis. Other wise I hope you like the video. I do have a video coming out this Friday where I do open up the whole engine compartment. Thanks for reaching out and for checking out the videos all the best Cheers!

      @@MarkForrestAdventures Appreciate the reply. I also wanted to mention that your tracks (jetski lift) system is pretty cool, would make for an interesting product video. Will have to look around your channel some more, looks like good content.

    Not sure why Yamaha can't just use two sane colors like blue and black. You get dizzy looking at Yamaha graphics with the white, yellow and 4 colors of blue all at once.

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I fully agree with you there. They have great units but the design and colors are just not that great the need to really update them. That's where I will give a lot to Sea Doo the design and color set ups they have are just so well put together! Thanks for checking out the video and reaching out great to hear from you! All the best Cheers!
