Great question, in general it's not very difficult to find doll clothes for the normal size BJD. I tend to like big dolls and their clothes are hard to find. I sew and the best doll clothes for my big dolls are children's clothes that I can alter.

Very cool how you did that I got a 18 inch Madame Alexander doll that somebody cut all of her hair off I wanted to do something unique with her I'm going to try to make that I'm going to have to hit the thrift store tomorrow for sure thank you for sharing that
How do you go about purchasing BJD's? I've always wanted to start a collection of them but the ones I have found so far are...astronomically priced, should we say? Haha. Anyway, any helpful advice or tip on how to buy BJD's or even American Girl Dolls (any 18 inch dolls, really) would be welcome! Awesome job with the wigs, btw!
I look for sellers I trust on sites like ebay and facebook. Most of my BJDs were purchased used. When I buy new I like Mirodoll and Reainsoul. To keep the cost down you can also buy better BJD heads and put them on a less expensive body.

I'm doing a horse head on a doll body. How would you recommend a mane? Just a strip instead of a wig cap?

great question, the length of the hair always depends on the faux fur. I found really long faux fur on a throw rug at Target.
