If you check her IG, there's a cosplay she did a ways back where she dressed up as both Rose and Jack and LEMME TELL YOU she looks EXACTLYYYYY like Rose!
I worked with chicken wire in my sculpture class in uni and it's loads of fun 😊 You do get scratched at lot, but I find it so rewarding to be able to make massive shapes with such a cheap and accessible material!
She looks like she's glowing and floating. The shade and reflective light really sell the illusion
I know you said you never want to touch chicken wire again, but consider: ghost dog. It would be perfect for the amount of wire you have left!
Uhhh! Ghost cat...
Ghost owl
i love this energy!! the editing is super slick and it's so obvious you're really enjoying what you're making and that makes it even better!!!!!!
I love these one-day makes, they're always so chaotic and visually interesting
Trying to describe things-
Normal people: it looks like the letter Y
Rachel: UTERUS !
I have so much respect for you Rachel, this looked really hard to make and you did such a good job! She looks so cool!
I’ve also seen them painted with glow in the dark paint.
She came out really good. Well done 👍🏼
Aweosme idea !!!
I *just* saw these online yesterday and immediately thought “Rachel Maksy should make these”. Killer.
You could totally put some soft white lights at her base pointing up to make her glow!
I really love how the moment it turned September that daily temperature dropped and it's suddenly fall. This just goes with that mood.
YES! I pray we don't get one of those random Sept/Oct 'hot spots'. Which tend to happen 4 days after you decide it's safe to store your air conditioner...
(A problem that no longer plagues me, as I now have a portable that lives in my room year-round, and if Random Heatwave decides to return, I just put the exhaust hose back in the window! Muwahaha!)
@@brendaleelydon I've heard people in my neck of the woods(New England) calling those Sept/Oct hot spots "Indian Summers" And yes I was literally just debating with my family today if we should put away the air conditioner or not too. Edit: I Googled Indian Summers, it originates from Boston, so most likely a local jargon that other people never heard of, like Nor'easters.
@@Mojo_3.14 My family's been midwestern for the past few generations and the Indian summer thing was something I'd heard a lot of as a kid.
Indian Summer is recognized in Illinois, too.
@@JariDawnchild Oh good to know. :)
Sounds like your car’s starter motor needs looking at… cool project with the chicken wire! We have a local artist who lines the side of the highway with sculptures made out of bits of scrap metal. Always makes me smile.
I’m so glad we got to see more of the kitty in this video!!! Love seeing the kitty ❤️
When you started, I have my doubts, the wire didn't look like a good material to work with. But girl, you delivered as always, she looks amazing! Miss Clackwire will be a sensation of the season.
My husband noted yesterday how frequently I've been using the words "fall" and "autumn" lately. I've already purchased autumn scented candles, hand soaps, coffee & tea, and a new sweater. Your videos are the perfect compliment! Another amazing creation, dear Rachel!!
You guys are lucky, we don't have autumn here 😭
I've been in Summerween since Aug.1st. lol
It is good to hear that you love the result ! It is indeed incredible, so flowy !
Dies laughing at the kazoo sounds.
Also- this is wonderful content, I don’t care how long or how little time it takes to plan. I’m here for all the content.
All of it!! *shakes fist*
THIS! YAAAS
Vehemently supportive *torch and pitchfork*
I, as many others, also have wanted to do this for YEARS! Only I want to also spray paint it with glow in the dark spray paint. I think that would SO cool out by our barn as people drive by, with one also peeking around the side of the house at the front!! :-D Loved how your lady friend turned out...she's be-boo-tiful ;-) xx
Oooh glow in the dark paint!! 😯🥳 I love that idea!!
@@becauseimafan You'd need a blacklight to make that glow-in-the-dark paint pop (I mean, unless you're setting up a spotlight that turns on for a minute, then off for a few to activate the paint. Which could be a cool feature...). And if you're using a blacklight, you can also use other blacklight-responsive paints in your yard (or where ever you're setting your ghostie up) & have fun accent colors poppin'!
@@brendaleelydon A lot of professional "haunters" will hide a blacklight behind a small gravestone, with the light pointed at the lady !
YES jamming to potatoes and molasses. I’ve been dying to watch that show with my friends again this spooky season
I've got a lot of chicken wire and a desire to decorate my yard. This is highly relevant content. Also, your crafting apron is the coolest!
That is from Adam Savage's youtube channel Tested. He mocked one up in an episode. Based on the feedback from his subscribers, he ended up offering one via his merch store. Its really cool because it is open at the bottom to be clipped around your legs so it doesn't catch on stuff. Given Rachel's affection for all things swirly in terms of skirts, I'm not sure she will get a lot of use out of that function?? But, maybe she will be able to find things when sewing if she gets used to putting them in her apron?
And you just gave me the most awesome idea! My mom loves roses and I want to make her a chicken wire rose for her yard. A big one.
your content has reached "brings me nostalgic joy and makes me feel happy in even my dark times" level for me tbh
Rachel’s autumn content… SUPERIOR!
Rachel rocking out to the OTGW soundtrack in her car is a whole mood.
Another day of appreciating rachel having subtitles available, i forgot my earphones and i can still follow along on the video, its great!
yes! ♡ i only found Rachel this summer, but ever since I stopped being able to wear earphones and headphones last year due to medical thingies I booped that sub button right away after I was besotted with one of her videos. Rachel's having of subtitles just spoke volumes of who she was as a person ♡
@@nirainbow yepp, its just so convienient! also hope your medical thingies have gotten better/dont cause you pain!
This is the greatest channel on the interwebs ❤❤❤
The "flowing fabric" look was super affective!
I’m convinced she’s just autumn sprite in disguise
Not a very good disguise, she just said "Halloween gods grant me strength"
Yes! Much more so than a “floor troll”!
i think 11 months of the year is get ready for hallowen for her and october is just a calm holiday.
I had my doubts at first, but the moment you spray-painted it white it IMMEDIATELY turned into perfection. This was a really cool project!
You know, even with the "lack" of detail I really gotta say: I legitimately think it's better this way. I kept thinking there was a face there.
You’re mega talented with all things 3D (cosplay, garments, pumpkin heads, baby yodas, etc.) I seriously loved the result!
Make her a Frodo friend! OR make a base for your pumpkin head since it’s already terrifying … just some thoughts …
I got this book on crochet dogs and I'd love if Rachel got it and tried to do a Frodo.
I am incredibly impressed with how wonderful this came out. As someone who has tried this before in collaboration with at 4 art students and 2 engineering students and didn't get nearly as wonderful result, I am blown away by your skills!
I loved this project, she came out beautifully. I love that you just went with something you wanted, always my favorite type of video. Your photographic and editing skills are a chef's kiss. :)
So lovely!! She's wondrous. Using a finer mesh chicken wire would have probably been easier to manipulate but I like how She's much more see through with the larger holes!
I've been wanting to make one of these for years; now that I have a dress form, it might be time. This turned out so well!
Omg I love her so much!!! I can just see the Ivy climbing across her gown in no time!! Leave her up all year round!!!!! I am in love with the pose you chose for her too 😍
