Finally, someone who talks about that giant slot that won’t hold the end of the floss. Thank you and I’m subscribing right now. Lots of other good tips, also.
I'm glad you showed how to put the craft bands around the bobbins to hold them in place. I am doing it wrong which explains why it's not working 😅 I'm going to try your way tonight!
Funny thing is, the first batch I bought (a few years ago) were fine. They developed some new, innovative way to make their product worse in the intervening years!
Oh my word, the idea of using the needle minder to hold back the fabric! Brilliant!!! I do love my Caterpillar Cross Stitch needle minders. They are so incredibly strong! I have discovered that one will hold my needle, my scissors, and my bobbin ring!
The elastic band idea was a good one! I have some hair ones my niece bought that are small that might work ;) after I get out work I'll try it & let you kmow!😊
Love your video. However, some of us are allergic to latex so the hair won't work for me. So what I do is put scotch tape over the end and then use a small all purpose pair of scissors and make a small cut in the tape... narrowing the gap for the thread to go in to. Works like a charm for me
I do know that there are 2 of them under my stitching chair. My magnet has not found them, though. And I have another in a project, that I also cannot find! I am under construction, plus packing to move, so it’s a miracle I can find anything!
As a tip in relation to your scissors fob, most craft stores have smaller "jump rings" or "split rings" in the jewelery making section. You could attach one of these between your scissors and your fob to make things more comfortable to work with.

That fray check idea nails it! ❤
Life-changing! I'm actually going to start using it on all floss, not just synthetic ones.
@@SonovaStitch Oooo, great idea!
Please do more Ford! I'm new at cross stitich, but a veteran at needlepoint. Pittsburgh, PA USA

That's what the ones I use are labeled for! Of course, now I have 3000 of them!

Is there a sheet of stickers with the universal symbols, instead of the DMC stickers with the numbers?
Not that I've seen, but that's a great idea!
I love ball tip needles, but I lose needles! I have several, but can’t find any of them!
I lost my first one almost immediately and I was on vacation with no way to replace it. An expensive mistake!
A sharpie, especially a metallic one, works well!

Thanks so much!
But how do you label them?
i tried to find your youtube channel son of a stitch but i can't find it
Hi there! It's spelled with a V, like this!
when the end comes out from the bobbin it is annoying. I already use the elastic band idea and also the thing on the end of scissors.
