    Thank you
    Hi
    So, after some butcher (with all the respect to butchers...), been "working" on this car, the car started to suffer from a parasitic draw...
    The work previously done on it, was a disgraceful attempt to repair/overcome a few electric faults with the car... which in the end, they were all related to each other!...
    There is some criminals out there!...
    Follow me on this video to find out what the problem was, and how to resolve it!
    Hope you enjoy the video.
    Any questions or comments put them below.
    Like always, thank you for watching!

    Just a tip; when you do an autoscan, instead of then manually going into every module to read the actual codes, just push REPORT in the bottom left after the autoscan is complete. It saves time;). Love your videos, learn't a great deal of them, keep up the good work!

    Original mechanic bypassed BCM to get that car out of his shop. The way he chopped up those wires might clue us into how frustrated he too must have been.

    Thank you for this video, everytime you make one of these is a blessing as a learning mechanic myself, i hope you continue making these as long as you can :).
    Suggestion: put all the dtc codes you encountered or at least the most important in the description or title, so if someone searches (like i do) for the codes this video will come up as suggested because im sure with a video of yours the code can be 100% repaired with the way you test and search for faults, thank you.

    Always amazes me the lengths some people will go to bodge something rather than fix the problem. Seen some jaw dropping workmanship myself that probably took more effort than getting to the bottom of the original fault.

    I know your pain and all I can say is respect
    Your one of the first mechanical technicians I have found who don’t cut corners and always double and triple checks shit before being the usual good old parts changer or hack the shit out of things until they finally pass it onto the next person aka dumb arse me who can’t seem to stay away from the cars and trucks and all the other things that go into every one else’s too hard basket and me being me who just can’t quit lol figures out the fix and pull my hair out and swear my head off and smash up my body climbing all round the vehicles or whatever lol you know what I’m saying
    I frign hate seeing people who have no idea and I mean there is no idea and learning along the way but then there is the no idea and no god damn clue they need to throw away the toolbox and give the job to someone who figures shit out and fixes things rather then make everything ten times worse lol

    Hello, good morning, I am a follower of your channel and I am contacting you, to be able to comment on the following situation that occurs in my vehicle, Ford mondeo mk2 2.5 v6, one morning the battery was discharged, without knowing how to change the battery, when month or so, the car stopped in full operation, it was as if the electricity had died, stop, giving it and giving it until it started, again as if the battery was without charge, it was only a month old, I changed the alternator regulator , and well, I bought it, it charges over 14.5V, and I considered the fault finished, one day cleaning the interior, I left the radio on, while I cleaned, and nothing a few minutes later, the voltage began to drop, less to less, until the battery was discharged at that moment, I was surprised because that had never happened to him, I did another test, with the battery charged again, I gave the contact, after a short time, equal to less to less , that in a moment the battery goes away, I recharge it, install it, and leave it and connected approximately 2 months, until I realized that the red light of the alarm did not blink, I checked it and discharged, that did not happen in the past either, it carried out the current leakage test with the multimeter, because I told myself that this would have to be a current leak, it is the logical thing to think, and what was my surprise, that the value it gave is 0.02 amps, with the battery just charged, so there is no current leak, I have also performed the voltage drop test and it gives 000v both positive and negative, and then what happens to it? I don't even know what else to do, regarding what I am explaining to you, I await your prompt clarification, please, greetings.

    Fantastic. Did you try to code the first eBay module? Many used part numbers are never sold as new parts counter parts so used is a gamble as it may or may not program. New can have all its own issues like being too new for your software.

      No... I never tried it...
      As it was not listed as compatible by Ford, I didn't want to waste more time...😋

    Don’t you think it’s about time you gave up on that worn out protective cover on your meter🤔 have you thought about sticking a mobile phone screen protector on instead as they’re not expensive😉

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi
      I would check other circuits coming out from the BCM, to understand if is some other circuit that is causing the BCM fuse to blow, or if it is something internally that is shorted...
      Hope it makes sense...

    It was an interesting video Luis. I know that you like to dig deep into repairs but sometimes this can turn into frustration. Most self employed mechanics have been there. I have been there with a Kia Sportage and a Nissan Navara. In the end I got sick of looking at them. It is a source of learning, these repairs, but they are also the ones that make you question yourself " why did I accept "? and give you some extra grey hairs.

    Well I watched the video to the end,You could of ended this issue faster by trying another BCM from a donor car,and check if the fault is gone,like you did with the one that have the wrong number,also why you searched for the exact number while the guy at the dealer gave you the new part number for newer version that have a better circuit or a better software,If I were you I would not use the same part number.

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Correct... but I had to buy it... that was what I was trying to avoid untill I 100% sure...
      I don't have spare parts laying around...😋
      To be honest, I was not looking for a higher version part number, was just for one that would be compatible... a same part number came up... that's all...
      But I understand what you mean, could probably take that in consideration...😊
      Thank you for watching and for your comment!
