You are a life saver, i was on the floor for about 30 mins going through the steps in the paper ... The part it doesn't say is to line the pilot word up with the indicator! As soon as i did that it lit 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Thanks! The one you have seems similar to the one i have. However, I couldn’t find the shutoff valve in this little space. I did a lot of research and it seems like it can be next to the fireplace or in the basement(correct me if I understand it wrong).
So I went down find the pipe and a valve that seems right. The weird thing is that the valve in the basement is on the whole time, but I still can’t turn on the fireplace. I can see the spark when I try to turn on the pilot, but it doesn’t stay on, which I assume is the gas is not flowing in.
Should I take off the whole screen on the fireplace to check if there is any other valve is hiding? Or the valve in the basement is not the right one? Or there might be another issue. Looking forward to your reply, it would be sooo helpful!! If you could take a video to show more about the valve part that could be very cool too. Thank you so much.

It stays plenty cool enough in the service compartment. Lots of testing done on these fireplaces. It's not an issue at all.

I know how it supposed to work. What do I do when the pilot never comes on?
