- Most of my travels have been about exploring, experiencing, and trying new things. It's all been about me. When I met a group of volunteers who told me they were teaching English to Cambodian children away from the center of Siem Reap, I knew I had to see what this was all about.
I exchanged numbers with some of them that night, checked out of my hotel in Siem Reap the next morning, and checked into a bungalow at the Siem Reap ECC School. I didn't really know what to expect, and I've never taught English to kids, let alone teach anything to kids before, but I was up for the challenge.
I couldn't have imagined how amazing this part of my trip would be. The Cambodian kids were super fun, happy, and had so much energy. They definitely wanted to play and were sometimes difficult to keep in order. However, when they would pay attention, it was clear that teaching them English was working. This was easily the most rewarding thing I've done during my travels, and I will totally be doing this again.

Great Video!!! Will you be returning to Pattaya or are you traveling to another country after Cambodia?
I came back to Thailand after Cambodia. I’ll be here a little longer and then plan to go to Indonesia and then Vietnam. But, my plans are not set in stone.
Thanks a ton! Are you in Pattaya?
@@WhereisBrad be there January for the first time!
Oh awesome. You’re going to love it! Feel free to reach me on Instagram if you want to talk details!
Is that with a company/program? or did those other volunteers just refer you?
The other volunteers told me about it but anyone can sign up! It’s called WorldTrips. From there you can browse different volunteering options. I def recommend trying it out
