Every year, we collect used laptops (so far average 10 annually from the last 3 years) from friends and community and donate them to Cambodia...😌 our connection with Cambodia came about when a Cambodian family moved next door to us...kindest people we have ever met...visited Siem Reap last year...amazing people, amazing food! Now we are retired and thinking of volunteering in some capacity ..tks for video..very useful to us! keep it up !👍
I love your energy, you guys are great. There also was a volunteer teacher from US come to my Province teach English to the children, the teachers in my school at that time some could speak English but most know so little English language (cause they are Teacher of Khmer language ) some would try their best and some were too shy to talked to her . The director also brought her to other province to visited the temple and water fall. But when it come to food she often rejected the food provide to her she would rather have fruit or bread. There was a time where she comes to school smiling and look so happy someone try to start the conversation by asking her "why are you smiling?" But she asked him back " Am I not allow to smile? " Ending the conversation 😅. I know sometime she can be happy sometime stress but she seem doesn't like talking to other people. When she went back to US she commented on her Facebook page that the food here were awful and no one here can speak English.😢 How much of it are we at fall?
Thanks for your comment! I'm sorry for the experience you had. yes sometimes it's difficult for foreingers to adapt to culture and food of different countries, but for us it's always important to bring a good attiutade and be respectful. We had the most incredible experience in Cambodia and the people made the experience truly special
