    A great deal of interesting insights. I totally agree with the comparisons between Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam having worked in all countries. Regardless of how much money you can make and the lifestyle you can generate the biggest problem in all of these countries is that the local women earn peanuts, many of them are supporting their families so if you want to date them you are expected to pay for absolutely everything. If the relationship progresses into marriage you can kiss good buy to any potential savings,

    • @rebornabroad
      @rebornabroad  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I do think that dating Vietnam and Cambodia are better than Thailand. I think generally, the people are more solid, and the women are often looking to marry. Seems in Thailand almost everyone is freelancing. Cities like Saigon, you can meet Vietnamesr women who earn high salaries and are very wealthy. The same is true in Bangkok to an extent, but I really feel like with thai people, it's much harder to get to know them where as the Vietnamese and Khmai I forged really strong friendships.

    • @MarkDOUBLE-hu3ri
      @MarkDOUBLE-hu3ri 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@rebornabroad I know plenty of Vietnamese and Thai women through Linkedin who earn decent incomes. However usually that money goes to support their extended families . Secondly they don't want to have relationships with western guys because of the stigma attached. From my network of western male friends who have married Asian women their wives generally come from poor families in the countryside. To illustrate this at a personal level, I once dated a Vietnamese lecturer at a private international university her income was 20 m vnd per month but she had to give half of this to her family and she told me if we were to get married, I would have to pay for all the wedding give her parents 100 m vnd. Then she would stop working to have a family but I would still need to give her parents 10m vnd per month. Her younger brother also a university lecturer married to a Vietnamese lady wasnt expected to give any money to the parents.

It’s not easy by any means minimum 10 hour shift at the school, as well as tasks you may need to do in the evening. And as he says there is a lot of ego and competition between the expat teachers.

    I will say when my wife and I decided to leave the accredited international school where we were at because of evaluation policy that really made teaching impossible they did offer to modify it.
    Also as stated by the teacher here, international schools are full of narcissistic admin who are doing things here that would not be tolerated in western schools with teacher unions. Do your research.

      In Vietnam, they pay more but tend to he more racist than being said. Your American. You have one of the strongest passports on earth. You will be fine. It's much, much worse for non white people from developing countries. If you're from Africa or the Middle East, it can be really hard not to get fucked around or abused unless they get lucky and someone is open minded. A lot of times, it's not the employers per se. It's often time for parents who may have never even met a foreigner before. These countries are much more nationalistic and homogeneous compared to a place like America where we have multiculturalism and legal rights for minorities ect. It's a different mindset. Don't let it worry you. You will be ok and if you have documents even better. You'll be crossing a border every 90 days, and the government has been checking accommodation more often, asking why someone on a tourist visa has a 6 month lease. From a tax perspective, they are making being able to pay you more difficult, but one on ones would be impossible to really manage. It's not really a responsible way to live, but why bother even without a degree there are ways we can get you a work permit.

    23yo Mexican American born in Los Angeles and honesty been wanting to teach in Cambodia I have been there three times in the last two years. I can say I want to leave the United States because at the moment I’m lost in life and want to find a reason and do something that can fulfill me, also another reason has to be how bad western society has been as of late crime, degeneracy, and dating!

      Hey 👋 if you need help getting started, we have an expat consulting service. Feel free to reach us on any of the contact information in the description or the fb fan page. On all the counts you listed, being outside the states will be much better. America isn't the worst place if you are already very established, but if it's definitely not the only place. For us, it's been far better being overseas. Let us know if we can help.

    No degree in Vietnam vs no degree in Cambodia what easier to find a job?

    • @rebornabroad
      @rebornabroad  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Vietnam officially requires a degree, but there are workarounds. Cambodia doesn't. Cambodia pay is around 30% less, and it's more expensive. Vietnam is a huge market. Cambodia is a small country.

    • @rebornabroad
      @rebornabroad  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Of course not, but all sex pats you see in the river side are old. It's not a cliche the stereotype exists for a reason. They are people who have to pay. Now, old people who are fit and live functional lifestyles don't hang around riverside. So what can I say. If the shoe fits, wear it. If not, don't. Of course, not all older people are sex tourists. No people are all one thing.

      Even a totally unqualified clown with no degree can get $18 an hour and up in a public school in one of the cheapest countries in the world. So just because YOU didn't know how to make it work doesn't mean it's not a good deal for someone else.

    • @mrgingerman6020
      @mrgingerman6020 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Dude i know how to make it work, it doesn't matter if it's $18, $19 or $22 an hour. As i said in my comment it's not something i would advise somebody to do unless they are really desperate, it's just not worth all the hassle involved.
