I have never heard this sentiment from anyone else, he seems amazing and as much as I loved having Mark, I'd hate to lose meteos, what dont you like about him here?@@Bryan-p8u
I've watched every Dive episode this season. The crazy part is that I don't even think about it anymore; the moment I see it pop up on my home page, it's the first thing I watch. Great job guys.
I think it would be tragic if NRG makes any roster change at all. I think they can definitely show up in Summer with this roster, because so many of their games just looked like throws because of disastrous early turret dives or over-forcing objectives.
Meteos' point at 56 min about 100 Thieves' mental resiliency is spot on. How can you not cheer for these guys? They are what NRG was at worlds; both teams "over performed" and seem to have this attitude of "I'm just lucky to be here, and I'm going to enjoy and be thankful for every minute of it." There is a relaxed confidence, "How far can we go? I don't know. Let's fight like hell and find out."
About APA, yes he is struggling sometimes and won't gonna 1v9 games, but it seems to me the people just doesn't want to realize that he is a facilitator type of player, he won't be the main carry, it will be Yeon. The champs he plays/favorizes is all engage/follow up champs not hyper carries. If he can improve further and not stuck on this level where he is atm, he'll be fine.
Meteos ALWAYS cautions against baseless criticisms of players (Huhi/NRG underperformance). He knows how baseless online narratives can torpedo careers. Huge respect for his principles.
As a 100t fan, I hoping they ban out asol because that champ can actually 1v9 after scaling which I don't think ziggs does as much and they let him have ziggs and punish it with something like Vi and yone combo like in the regular season.
Skarner sup as anti-engage seems like it will be amazing. A support that can invade with the jungler while having a crap load of peel for the ADC, imagine aiming your ulti at your carries while their team tries to dive them.
Something APA has really improved on is having mid prio. He had it in the majority of the games against FLY and 100T even if he only got 1 or two solo kills. I think APA doesn't even have to win against Quid, he just has to go even, and TL will stop 100T
He's actually not that insane of a lane ganker before LVL 6. Using the E to go thru walls leaves you with no hard CC left. It's really still about the mid-game, being able to charge from any angle with a more open map where he gets alot of value.
#1 Dive is great, change nothing. #2 lcs made sure to skip this sunday so that the finals is on EASTER SUNDAY. needham literally waffled last year about how the stadium they wanted was only available then. This year its in studio that they have complete control over wtf.
Meteos why you hating on APA. APA sucks because he loses on champs. On champs he wins on, he still sucks. Sucks if you lose, sucks if you win. Whatever
This isn't an LEC podcast. I know that there a few EU fans who hate watch the LCS, but that doesn't mean that our content is catered to you except to remind you of 16:47 and G2 losing to NRG at Worlds.
I feel like 100T barely getting by NRG, a team that some pros consider to be the actual worst in the league (based off end of split interviews), doesn't really beat the fraud allegations...
Skin is dope but they can’t do trucker orn most likely due to all the trucker/farmer protests going on around the world. Train conductor is still good; getting hit by a train is way more fatal than a semi.
It’s pretty obvious there are other factors. Palafox has been very inconsistent - he’s had some great moments and some int moments, which happens stylistically when you go for surprising angles, but there have been more head scratchers this year. And Dhokla has been a non factor all year. I can’t think of a game he carried, but I can think of some games he lost.
C9 3 - 0 FLY 100T 3 - 1 TL I don't think we'll have competitive series this week. I have no faith in FLY. Yeah, Massu looked good, but Busio still made some boneheaded decisions. Berserker and Vulcan were on another level. Jensen also tilted and jojo loves to trash talk - unlike APA, he backs it up. As for 100T & TL ... I think Quid's on another level and TL won't be able to stop him. Impact, UmTi, Yeon and Core are all very, very good, but if your midlane is getting pounded, it'll be hard to recover.
Impact doesn't carry so let sniper hold his own ban asol and ziggs then quid will wreck him for free have river play bot side to shut down yeon. Tl only shot is protect yeon and get impact on Jax or something... mid is lost regardless
FIRST COMMENT Ok but seriously I think Inspired gets a lot of credit for the work of his solo laners so I'm very curious about this series. I genuinely dont see him on the level of River or Blaber on his A game.
why are you guys trying so hard to give APA a rivlery, he's so bad at the game but a he is a good parrot. one time with Jensen, before it was with Jojo or palafox. How much did TL pay for that ?
Blaber always been the best JG in NA, Inspired and river being good in regular season doesn’t change that. In playoffs Blaber is always gapping them and it doesn’t look close, even at worlds when inspired was on rouge blaber still gapped inspired.
You need to check out skarners kit and abilities before you tell people you don't think he's going to be good, he's a better k'sante, but you can actually counter play him, but he can duel and he's a juggernaut like ornn or morde or sion
Brother i think you should read what scalings each champ has. Theyre nothing alike. Skarner only gets dmg from hp. Ksante gets damage from hp, mr, armor, ad, sheen effects etc.
Hot take: The trash talk between APA and Jensen is actually the opposite of good for the overall vibe of the league. All chatting and being toxic in a pro game (when that type of stuff would get you banned in solo queue) is beyond cringe and makes the "rivalries" seem even more fake or forced. Meteos saying "as a spectator you love it every time" is actually the opposite when I see it pop up on the screen
I mean, of course Drive doesn't get many views. You guys have cultivated a culture where your fans only want people being jerks to each other. Maybe spend less of your focus pushing trash talk during your live broadcasts and you'll have more fans who are interested in content that isn't just people treating each other like crap. You've turned your content into the worst form of slapstick comedy and you complain that your drama side content isn't popular. Of course it isn't. You've cultivated the wrong audience for that with your obsessive focus on toxicity.
I don't know if we can 100% blame Riot for that issue when the biggest streamers are the most toxic, like Tyler1, that just seems to be what people are being drawn too. I agree though the trash talk stuff doesn't really help them though.
@@midgevong41 So it is definitely a multi-faceted issue and Riot is not 100% to blame, for sure. That being said, I don't think we can separate Riot from culpability entirely when they have brought Tyler1 onto their broadcast multiple times despite his extreme toxicity and they continue to center content creators whose brands primarily live in that same ecosystem. In the end, it IS Riot's community. They make the game, they make the rules, and they choose which aspects of people they wish to highlight on their broacasts. They have made the decision that centering toxicity is their primary focus - often even above skill. And thus, they shouldn't be surprised when the majority of the audience they've built wants nothing but lowest common denominator 'ha ha he said something mean' comedy and not hard hitting drama/documentary content like Drive. If they want drive to be a pillar of their content, they need to shift their broadcast to being more analytically focused and less 'let's see if we can get the teenagers to say mean things to each other' focused.
@@seluhir8820 I don't feel like it's centered on toxicity. I think toxicity is just the "interesting" side plot that draws in a younger more competitive audience, which they do desperately need. I also can't remember in the last year when Tyler1 has been at a Riot event. The last I can remember is a worlds event like 3 years ago.
@@midgevong41 It's been a while for him specifically. But just a week or so ago they brought in a content creator whose ENTIRE JOB was to get teenagers to be jerks. Every time she was on-screen she was goading them into being jerks. That was her whole purpose there. And... I thought *I* was cynical, but if you think the only way to get young people interested is by having people treat each other like garbage on-screen constantly... then holy crap you are ten times more cynical than me. Truly competitive people... they don't care to watch people treat each other like crap. Truly competitive people want to watch people perform their best against each other - they want ACTUAL COMPETITION. Not 'that guy sucks' - that isn't entertaining to someone who is actually competitive-minded. Again: That's lowest common denominator slapstick comedy, not competition. That's catering to the jackass audience, not to an audience of competitive minds.
Meteos has been incredible for the dive.

Couldn’t agree more. I have never watched his stream but he balances out the dive really well. They have a great dynamic.

At least for segments where they really go into specific detail.

To be fair, the Dive is ALWAYS a banger. The discussions are much needed in the space.

yall should have Mark on for the last episode of the split but like dont even acknowledge it
Even meteos’ smile and wave in the first 5 seconds of the pod is quality content

I love watching sanitized Meteos on here and then comparing that to the degeneracy on co-stream 😂
lmao sanitized
I like APA. I also like the dive. Please algorithm, take this engagement.
APA talks trash because he is trash
Azael saying "we had some good meat" was craaaazzzyyy

About to watch let’s see if there’s a 10 minute volibear segment this week
