Nice video, my mirage just got totalled I'm so sad!. It's so economical, good to see your mirage working well in the winter. This car is so cheap to operate! Can't wait to have another one someday!

I would add cheap, reliable, and easy to maintain. Perfect for long trips, in summer we do 5-6 k kms trips and it only costs a few hundred for fuel ⛽

Never stuck in snow is a huge one for me. I was concerned about that for these vehicles.. Maybe its worth it then

Great video. I really appreciate you posting this. I’m looking for a car to drive just back and forth to work. Nothing fancy. I would like if you can post some information about the maintenance you do in such cold weather. Like do you run a block heater or stuff like that.

Well, I have a block heater. But I would not recommend it for you. Better get command start, will be much useful. I use Mobil 1 extended performance engine oil, 0w20, always starts good, unless it's -40, then makes some noise, battery related. I change oil every 10 months or 15 k kms, runs fine. Original battery lasts me 7 years so far, but will change it this year.

In manual it says you should change it every 8k. But if they didn't void your warranty before, then probably you are fine

What went wrong with the first engine? A rattle can be anything, really.

Hard to tell, I wasn't given an answer. It was working fine, just made some noise. First engine was more fuel efficient, consumed 4,3 liters of fuel on 100 km on highway. The new one is around 4,5-5 l.

So at 60K miles you had to replace the engine?

How much did the new engine cost?
