It's easier to after you have your bread cut up into the bowl then add in the olive oil & mix it up than brushing each piece of Bread one at a time Works for me etc

It was Soo easy. I used whole wheat for my cream of broccoli soup and it was amazing. What a great way to use bread up!!

My husband bought some already made and they look like yours. I prefer to make my own!!
It was my first time having croutons with my salads. I am not a salad person but I had to try!
I know you may not like cheese/garlic with your croutons but I will add some on mine. I won't cut the crusts of on my First made croutons, my second one I will.
    THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!!!

I may just do that. I am not very good at baking but I have seen several video's that explain how to make a sourdough starter. If I dive into baking bread this is what I will try. Thanks! :)

Your welcome. It's not hard but word of advice, start with a rye or wholewheat flour as it will strengthen the capability of your starter. Good luck

She said let it air-dry in another comment so I guess so? Personally I wouldn't leave it out in the open cause of the germs, insects, rodents or the casual peckish passerby.

+Drew Guerra Hi Drew!! You may not get the crunchy homemade croutons if you do not let your bread air dry for a day!! Let us know what you do & share your results if you wish!! -Deronda :)

Drew Guerra of course you can to be honest I think she overcooked them those were not crunchy.
what yoh have to do is oil them again when they are in the bowl then bake them on a lower heat

  • @Hathorspirit

maybe some people have burned theirs due to not putting them on the correct rack. Is it the centre rack? And, maybe some people did not let their oven warm up to the correct temperature, and ended up broiling the crouton instead.
