@@akumasdeception I feel like he did as time went on. Kishimoto buried a lot of Sasuke's caring aspects, making it harder to emphasize with him as time went on.
A lot of people didn't quite understand Itachi's amazement at Sasuke being able to do Chidori. They took it to mean that he was surprised that Sasuke could do a technique of that level. But Itachi knows the technique very well, having been in ANBU with Kakashi and knows that the technique is primarily for assassination. So Itachi isn't so much surprised that Sasuke is able to master such a technique but that he learned this technique specifically. It tells him that Sasuke is determined and focused to kill him, it's his life goal.
That chidori looked sick even if it didn't do anything. Let's also not forget the fact this was last time we saw Sasuke before he completly went crazy.
He doesn't go completely crazy until after Itachi's death, but this is unfortunately the last time we see Sasuke before Itachi's constant abuse of Tsukuyomi and Orochimaru's influence turn him against his friends 😢
To think that young Sasuke assumed that he'd be able to beat Itachi with that dollar store Chidori was wild af. One of those nostalgic scenes indeed...
itachi was the first character to really intrigue me. That contradicting combination of a calm demeanor and his obscure past, one couldn't help but wonder what went through his mind and also saw him as an example of how even people who look harmless can be monsters. Naruto is a masterpiece.
Pure psycho? I think people using words they don't really know. Killer/Crazy/Maniac does not equal Psycho. But itachi do become one of the most like character.
Probably part of it but it's more likely that bc he isn't wearing his bandages that he had from the Chunin exams it's now more noticeable that the jutsu does a bit of damage back to the user just like how fireball jutsu can cause small 1st/2nd degree burns around the mouth & face when used frequently
I don't exactly recall my first impressions about this episode as was watching them irregularly, but this hits hard. And even harder in shippuuden episodes if you link all the pieces together. I like how everyone is like - Itachi is more evil than Orochi. Well, he was in Naruto, hence he only made one cameo. Great work! Looking forward to next ones.
I used to think the same thing but when you think about it he could’ve leveled the hidden leaf plenty of times. Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, Susanoo. Not to mention Itachi’s a literal genius. It still absolutely blows my mind that Itachi and Tobi were able to kill everyone in the Uchiha clan with basically no effort.
