  • We're in our 50s - so no spring chickens. But sometimes you just have to get on with it because change is a direction not a destination. We'd escaped the rat race a few years ago and now everything had to change again and with that change comes the need to learn a whole new set of skills.
Plant 3000 Trees in 48Hrs? We've been given a mix of trees; Oak, Spruce, Pine, Hawthorn, Willow and Cherry to name just a few.
But we have to drop everything to get them in the ground over a 48 hour period. This is going to be a coffee fuelled challenge. Last year we planted a few thousand tree and one main hedgerow but there was zero time pressure. It's a completely different feeling this time around.
Our lives have changed over the last few years - more through chance events than any grand plan. Moving to this abandoned farm in the North of Scotland is our next step on a completely unplanned adventure. We doing everything we can to enjoy the passage of time. We're no spring chickens I'm 50, so not necessarily the wise move. But if we can do it anyone can. Join us on our journey towards a self-sufficient, debt free life.
