the ex-wife who offered his new girlfriend to evacuate with her because she wanted her children's father to be safe. That's the sign of her being a good person.
Yes and he was a POS for not going with his kids. He chose the gf over his kids. I just can't even imagine doing that. He chose to play bum instead of taking care of his kids.
@Sam I Am The Superhero , Exactly!! This age old tradition in American high schools has always been a way to show you’ve finally made the “In Crowd”, you’re “popular” and accepted by your peers. Zack obviously needed this to help self esteem considering he’s never have a stable environment most of his adolescence 🥲
I love how you tell a story. A lot of content creators pause in between the story to discuss your makeup and you don’t. You let the story flow naturally. I love that. Thank you for your content.
I thought Addie would be the killer! She sounded like such a toxic person, sounded like Zack put up with a lot of abuse from her until he finally snapped! Such a sad story
The ONE thing I am proud about my high-school is that for my year the homecoming king was an amazingly nice and positive guy who had a lot of learning difficulties. He was in special education classes and needed accommodations, but he NEVER let it stop him. He was such a bright light to everyone and the smile on his face when he was crowned will stick with me as a highlight of my high-school years for sure 💜
That's amazing! I had some minor learning difficulties and was in special ed classes, too, so to hear that someone like us made homecoming king/queen is so cool! Shines the spotlight on how wonderful, intelligent (not just academic), and kind we are.
My younger sister graduated in 2009, and they all grew up together all the kids in her graduating class pretty much grew up from kindergarten to high school together and they made one of their special needs peers who had down syndrome prom king and he had the absolute best night of his life! It was an incredible thing to watch!
It's so unfair for one parent to push the total responsibility of being responsible, & raising the family on the other parent. Good for the mother on divorcing the father.
@@rachael8078and so do lots of men. All the men I've ever known and one woman. What is your point?? This has absolutely NOTHINGti to do with sex or gender
Dropping out of school due to not winning homecoming king is the equivalent of an adult leaving their job for not winning employee of the month; I think the two are comparable to scale.
i can appreciate the sarcasm, although to a young mind their whole life accounts to becoming crowned homecoming king or queen. employee of the month, well. congratulations to all that achieved that, but to me it always seemed like a crowning a monthly clown that likes being used by the system. - i’m not from the US so i’m not that emotionally involved in school stuff from there, bit that’s the vibe innit;6
I lived in New Orleans. All my friends dated things "pre Katrina" and "post Katrina" I worked with someone who knew Zack and Addy, and sadly Addy would be downright cruel to people when she was drinking; she pushed a friend of hers away because of her comments about his sexuality. She actually was diagnosed with bipolar disorder about a year before her death but quit her therapy and couldn't afford her medication and had to ration it. Both of them needed a lot of therapy and to be away from drugs and alcohol; sadly this was a horrible and toxic situation. It doesn't excuse what he did, but I'm married to someone with combat PTSD and they thrive in high stress situations. Zack was the victim of domestic abuse. It doesn't excuse what he did at all. Sadly, Addy was a hurt person and "hurt" people hurt people. Both had severe trauma. As someone who moved to New Orleans to get away from my childhood trauma too, I can sympathize with both of them. It was a rough situation.
@@imayabrown9476 A) I worked with people who were friends with her and B) the book Shake the Devil Off. One of her best friends went to prison for murder. I used to work with her too, Margaret Sanchez
such a side situation, they were both doomed from the start. & i agree with ur statement & use it often : “hurt people; hurt people”. i agree with that wholeheartedly bc when i was hurt & broken dealing with depression/anxiety/ptsd & survivors guilt on top of a heroin addiction without being on my meds and therapy after 3 back to back relationships that ended because of domestic violence on my ex’s to me not only physically but mentally, emotionally & spiritually as well... i pushed away family members and friends and potentially almost my current husband, thankfully he stuck it out with me & i got clean, got into therapy & am still in therapy & in recovery after 3 years now & we are married with 3 kids, 2 of which are my husbands & he adopted my son & i’m in school & my husband and i each run our own businesses & share one also. we are thriving now. it’s just sad bc of how true that statement is & im now in school to help women that were in my situation with sexual trafficking, addiction, mental illnesses & whom have been to jail/prison like myself. i already host NA meetings at the same county jail i was incarcerated in whilst awaiting trial for my charges (got my record expunged now thank god). sorry for sharing this. but i’m thankful that instead of Zack & Addy’s life story and tragedy being told that my life didn’t end up being talked about in this video.
@@JustEnjoyThisShii that's great that you turned your life around. It is a very hard thing to do. Congratulations. I fully agree with the "hurt ppl" phrase, and it's also been fresh in my head bc I just went to a two feet concert (the song "Hurt People") so very true.
I absolutely think Zach had a psychotic break. Between stealing his apt and telling everyone he had HIV and calling him slurs, it was a form of a hate crime, IMO. On top of his PTSD, he was abused verbally and physically. He snapped.
I would have believed that IF he did not quit his school because of the prom king thing. Also, if you suffer from PTSD and stuff you get help, I could even somewhat understand if he ''only'' killed her but the necrophilia bit?
Idk I'd say 'snapped' is more of an in the moment thing, like hitting someone with a rock ect not necrophilia and dismembered. He was just as messed up as her
I knew Zack's family personally and They were a great family. War & tragedy reeks havoc on a persons soul. Absolute tragedy!! I am blessed to know that his children are safe & thriving despite everything they endured. Bless Addie's Family and my heart goes out to them for their heartbreak 💔
I enlisted in the Army in 2000 as well. I deployed to Iraq in 2004. When you get home, you will never be the person you were before. I can understand why he’s so messed up. It’s been 17 years since I went and I’m still in mental health treatment.
I enlisted in 2000 also. However was honorably discharged so I wasn't deployed. I can't imagine the horrors those who were deployed went through. Thank you for your service
this story was so tragic. listening to how zack tried to be a good man for his family and then suffered from severe mental illness after his service was heartbreaking. it's very clear that he needed serious help and he had a complete psychotic break after the murder. i hope he is at peace.
He had a psychotic break when he committed the murder and it continued until he took his own life... He clearly needed help, I think they really both did...
As someone who goes to high school in America, homecoming really isn't that big of a deal. Some people really want to win it and take it really seriously but for the most part people don't really care about it. People who try to win and lose don't get made fun of or anything at all (at least at my school). So his reaction was definitely dramatic.
Back when he was going to high school things were much different though and bullying etc was at an all-time high, sadly.... Thankfully things have seemed to change since then, based on what you're saying, but it hasn't always been that way!
As a man that was in the Marines. Surviving in a situation like Katrina would be Zack's element. Addie being Bi-Polar, a catastrophe would not phase her in certain states of her condition. She could go for a couple of weeks like that non-stop.
i agree. i am diagnosed as bipolar and something people always tell me is that im "good in emergency situations". i think the insanity of your surroundings starts manic episodes and you don't feel the low until things have ended. considering how long Katrina was going for, there's no doubt in my mind she was running on a manic episode, escalated by alcohol, for the entire time.
@@lemonstalker.29 Same, I know I'm late but I'm binging these stories and I'm pretty quick on my feet to the point where I could give myself a little pat on the abck. But when it comes to my kids I'm just not that strong and all over the place.
But I’m not surprised. I absolutely thrived during the COVID lockdown. It allowed me to begin to engineer my life to operate exactly the way I want it to.
Just some random thoughts.....I think your assessment of zack's childhood and high school is spot on!.........As for Addy and Zack in New Orleans people with mental health disorders like PTSD, ADHD, Bipolar disorder tend to thrive in chaos which is probably why they were relatively calm and organized in New Orleans.....As for the voodoo stuff, I think it completely discounts his trauma, drugs abuse and physical, emotional, and verbal abuse Addy was putting him through. I believe that he ended up having a psychotic break after Addy told everyone he loved and knew he had Aids. Once people have made the decision to end their life it is not unusual for them to feel calm and happy right before completeling the act.
most of us here in new orleans that lived through the ordeal that was katrina all have PTSD, not making any excuses for him because i remember the day they found her body and he jumped to his death. the law firm i worked for at the time was in an office that overlooked the roof of the hotel and we were able to watch the entire crime scene, it was pretty traumatizing after finding out what he had done to Addy, as it was we originally thought it was only a suicide since he was being chased by the police.
So true about the mental illness aspect. Many people with PTSD come back from a war zone and just can’t readjust to normal life. People with ADHD tend to thrive under pressure, because there’s always something immediate to attend to and risks to take. I can also understand how an apocalyptic type situation can bring a bipolar person out of a depressive state, and make them very effective in a manic state.
Man, I was mentally preparing myself for Zach to be the one who was killed. He seemed like such a sweet, sensitive, all around great guy who was trying to do the best for his kids… until him trying to do his best lead him to the front lines of a war. It obviously changed him to his core - probably *because* of his sweet and sensitive nature in the middle of horrific war situations. So with all of that being said, I was really, truly rooting for him to get back to being a great father and finding his happily ever after. I mean, obviously I know what channel this is and the content of the stories, so I was mentally preparing myself for him to be killed by (or because of) Addie. I was completely shocked and in disbelief when you said it was HIM that killed HER… and even more so with everything that came after. I feel like I just watched one of those emotionally draining movies with a huge plot twist out of left field that you never saw coming. I feel awful for Lana and the kids. 💔
I've done the tour of this apartment. It's truly surreal to think such a terrible thing happened in such a mundane place. The oven is still there and there is a small backroom, the bedroom that gave me the chills. They do tell you the story w the tour but your video did it so much more justice. I hope they both found peace.
I’ve done the same tour! Such a strange thing standing right at that stove, and next to the tub, knowing what had happened there not too many years ago. Very surreal indeed, hard to describe the feeling.
@@meaghanmackenzie idk I respectfully disagree with you. Most people have morbid curiosity, and the tour itself was respectful. You can see in the image she shared in this video they turned the stove into a shrine for Addie. The city has a lot of dark tourism due to it’s history, if this offends or upsets you I would recommend never going to the Museum of Death in New Orleans..
I have done the tour of this as well. Its a pretty interesting tour in general but I knew before hand so it was so surreal to be in that apartment. The same stove, and fridge that had her parts in them.
@@meaghanmackenzie this is not unusual in New Orleans by any means. New Orleans had a very dark history and they tell the stories to make a living. Its important to always be respectful of course but they parade their dead down the street here. Its just a different culture.
Honestly I appreciate that you didn’t entirely dismiss the voodoo theory because you didn’t know enough about it. There’s so much misinformation about it, but New Orleans does have a lot of magick that is hugely culturally/spiritually important. A lot of people scoff at magick in cultural identity but i really enjoy that you admitted your lack of knowledge. so frequently other influencers either dismiss it or mock it as black magick
@@KM-ld9ln yep, it's crazy how people don't do any research on something they have an idea or opinion on. Yes but the fact is that the Voodoo Temple is usually associated with positive energy and this...would not have been a positive if the two were connected.
When ever these videos obsess about how good of a person someone was, especially if other parts of the story point to them being not the best, it is because they were murdered.
@@chatnoir9038 I was not trying to, I was just noticing a pattern in who ends up dying. Addy had flaws, but no one deserves to be murdered. I am sorry if my comment implied otherwise.

It went through the German media a long time especially because a woman was involved in the killing alongside with her husband. If you need translations let me know I am more than happy to help! Also your make up in this video is especially gorgeous!
Oddly enough, this case had the violence begin on October 5th 2006 & that case you mentioned in your comment, news broke about that case oct 5th 2018. Weird synchronicity here 🤷🏼♀️
I was actually a bartender when I was 19. Legal drinking age is 21. I was told not to tell people my age and if anyone commented that I looked young I just thanked them and told them that was so sweet of them to say 😂 Not sure how legal that is, but it happens
From when I read you can sell alcohol at a licensed establishment at the ages of 18 through 20 but there has to be someone on the premises also working that is 21 or outer and they are supposed to be keeping an eye on the individual under 21 to make sure they do not consume alcohol them selves. So my guess is you were left alone or with other individuals under 21 at times and that’s why you were not allowed to reveal your age
@@carijames1981 That's interesting, since at Target I could begin selling alcohol without a manager at age 19. Rules with this kind of stuff are funny. Who knows, maybe it's changed over the decade since then.
PTSD is such a severe problem in the military that for the most part the military doesn't do much. One of my parents was in the military they served in Iraq and Kosovo. When they were in Iraq there was a little girl who was crying because she had part of her foot blown off from an IED. Since then they haven't been able to listen to a child crying without having to leave the room. What's even worse is that when they went to get help for they're PTSD the doctor took one look at them and said "you been back from your deployment to long." Absolute bs.
@@hallievanoutryve3109 They would've gotten the help sooner, but at the time they were in you had to get approval from the branch of service they were in and they couldn't go and see a cilivan doctor. In this case, it was the Army my relative was in when this happened. I don't know if it's still the same way now or not because they retired some time ago. The way that this relative of mine put it was you had to be put on what the military calls a profile. However, you couldn't exceed a certain number of days or else they would discharge you. This was the same game that they played when this relative also hurt their neck and had to load planes, ships and trains when they were in the 82nd Airborne, even though they were also suffering from a concussion. Although, this wasn't the Army's fault. My relative's boss was being an asshole and was setting them up to fail because my relative got selected to go the Audie Murphy board, which is like a prestigious honor in the 82nd. The military is essentially a wolfpack, you can't keep up with the pack, you're done. That's the best way I could describe the military at the time. Like I said though, they retired and the military has gone through some changes so I don't know what it is like anymore.
Being someone who went to Iraq with the U.S. Army, and now with severe PTSD, I can say I have never felt the need to strangle someone, cut them up, amd then cook them... This story is so sad. There is so much help available for anyone struggling with PTSD, especially from the military. It doesn't always help, but it does sometimes!

I just have to say growing up in south Florida and constantly being hit by hurricanes, it’s like common for people to throw “hurricane parties” it’s like camping in your own house Everyone stocks up on booze and snacks and camping food and what not and all pile up in whoever’s house is the biggest and just party and have fun, because it really helps to distract from the horror that’s going on outside your doors and you don’t have access to the news to see the devastation.
@@Lipanj92As someone who grew up in Mississippi and who is a survivor of Katrina, I find your comment to be very condescending. Do you know anything about hurricane parties? Do you know anything about states that are affected by hurricanes? I assume you don't. All hurricane parties are not booze parties. Actually, some "hurricane parties"are also gatherings where families and friends get together in one house that is considered safe. They want to be around their love ones. Nobody is actually jumping around screaming and hollering playing music as the wind is blowing outside. Please educate yourself thoroughly before you make comments OPs comment brought back great memories until I read your comment. Both of my parents come from a family of nine. Because my family had a brick home, my parents brothers and sister's all came to our house. Many of those family members are no longer with me. Oh and by the way yes we were praying. SMH And one more thing, speaking as a Christian woman how are you going to tell somebody where they need to turn when you don't know them personally? All of this based off of a comment? I'm confused. The OP shared what their family used to do and you use that moment to chastise them and tell them they need to turn to God. Do you know this person personally? How about not judging others?
I actually feel so bad for Zach. That boy needed rehab and therapy and I think he would have responded well and would have become the father he was in the beginning. It was obviously a crime of passion, he definitely just snapped after so much abuse and trauma. Not saying its ok what he did... he should have immediately called the police. She committed fraud and theft. She would have been arrested, but still alive, and Zach could have gotten help. Just so sad.
I couldn’t agree more. My heart really breaks for Zach. He needed help. Doesn’t excuse what he did but she didn’t help the situation. Just such a sad sad story….RIP Zach and Addie.
Damn people really sympathize with him, after he killed, had sex with her dead body and then dismembered and cooked her and said he had no remorse. She doesn’t sound like the best person either but goodness, there’s no excuse for this.
Hi Danielle, I hope you'd be interested to look into the Burari deaths case from India. It's so bizarre from start to finish. There's also a Netflix documentary based off that. Very strange yet intriguing all at the same time 😱
I just wanna say I’ve been dealing with depression lately and binge watching your videos and it just really helps me ❤️ I love your videos and the cases you talk about! Thank you for making these videos and continue like that! I think you’re really good at explaining these cases!
As to Homecoming- he wouldn’t have been the only one nominated that didn’t win, he must have been pretty fragile mentally already for this to devastate him. As long as the area was evacuated they could loot whatever they needed with no real responsibility, I’m sure they found it very exciting to break into businesses and/or homes and look for things.
you know that one picture of the couple wading through water to loot? i heard a rumor that this was Zach and addy, do you know if that's true?? i was there for katrina but i was too small to remember all of it
Interesting how he named his son Jackson (Jack son) almost as if he literally wanted the undo what his dad did to him by being a better dad to his own child
I agree with you. He wasn't trying to pay tribute to his Dad. His dad wasn't there for him. I think he was trying to be the opposite of his Dad with his own. A redo of sorts.
I knew this guy in high school who was 6' 10-3/4" ( my science teacher measured him one day) and he said "cool I can tell people I'm 6' 10". He rounded down because he didn't want to be so tall and it broke my heart.
Small story time: Me and my family were visiting new Orleans, and went on a tour that talked about this case. Before we went on that tour, my cousin grabbed my arm and said she saw someone on the roof of the buildings we were walking by. I didn't think much of it, it's New Orleans so it's expected to see things. But when we got to this part of the tour, and we heard about the guy who jumped off the roof after he killed his partner, I remembered what my cousin told me she saw on the roof. We told the tour guide and she said "yeah, people see that a lot".
i think the reason Zack thrived so much being in the hurricane and be labeled as the king of it is because he actually finally felt like he fit in he got that validation that he needed to fit in. just like in high school he needed to be the king to finally feel like he fits in and he didn’t get it so once he finally he got he finally felt like he fit in. that’s why i think he thrived to much during the hurricane.
That and he was probably struggling to cope with living a life outside of war zone after Iraq. Despite the horrors he would have seen, there is a certain amount of adrenaline driven survival going on that would have made going back to ordinary life incredibly difficult afterwards. The Hurricane created an environment that was more like the war zone as well as the power and respect that he would have had being in the army that would suddenly disappear once he left.
Hey Danielle, in regards to Homecoming King and Queen, I would say it depends on where in the U.S. you live. In the south (GA, SC, AL, LA, MS) it’s a big deal to win or even be nominated for Homecoming Court. You’re escorted across a football field during halftime and presented with your crown! The crowds are much larger with more of an audience than prom. Hopefully that brief explanation was somewhat helpful! Lol :) * I also want to add that this “ceremony” normally falls on a Friday evening after the school celebrates “homecoming/spirit week!” Every class (freshman, sophomore, y’all get it lol) make a float that is also part of the celebration at the football event! Yeah…we’re extra! :) I’m from South Carolina
I wonder if Jack being bi contributed to his feeling of not fitting in at school- the 90s and 00s were not the most accepting or socially conscious years
Your recounts of these crimes are by far the best I've heard! I've heard this story (and many others you've recounted) in many ways but never given a full back story of these criminals. I also love that match your makeup to your nails!! I cant stop binge watching your channel!
@Danielle, I was born and raised in New Orleans. I lived there until I was almost 40 years old, and yes, I too, endured Hurricane Katrina, with my home taking on more than 12 feet of water. I was the very first person to rebuild in my area post Katrina. I promise you, I've NEVER heard of this story or these people until today. How utterly odd!
I lived, and still live, in St Bernard at the time of Katrina. I also lost everything and returned and rebuilt immediately as well. And I HAVE heard this story. I remember the case unfolding back when it occurred and I've never forgotten it, because I mean how could you considering the circumstances of the situation. I guess it just never hit your radar for some reason...things didn't spread on the internet back then as fast as they do now.
I was around the corner from where this happened. We stayed for the storm and made it out right after. I remember when this case happened. They reported it as a suicide at first then released the information about the note and her murder later. I still drive past that apartment every day.
@@jenniferdugas947 I have relatives in St. Bernard Parish. They too lost everything. This was the 2nd worst hurricane to ever hit the states. Katrina came in with a fury and no on was spared.
He probably wasn’t getting any help with his PTSD, and she’d hit him so many times, it’s no doubt he snapped. Nothing makes murder okay, but it makes his logic more understandable. I can’t believe I just said that!
I know what you mean, but understanding why something happened can at least help us prevent something like it from happening in the future so it's still important.
After the psychotic break NOTHING that happened was acceptable. I do believe, however, that he never regained himself after breaking. Psychosis is known to bring on disassociation...he wasn't living in any sort of reality for over a week. I think when he began to come back to himself, he couldn't deal with what he had done. That's when he planned his suicide and made sure all loose ends were tied. You can also see that is when logic returned in his mind. This whole thing is frightening and sad.
Thank you for being so thorough with your research into these cases, its so impressive. Even if I've already heard of the case before, like this one, you provide so much additional information I never heard before.
As someone from Louisiana, I can say: Yes, homecoming king and queen is a huge deal. So is prom king and queen. (It’s probably because of the southern pagentry aspect) Yes, you can serve and sell alcohol at the age of 18 even if you cant drink it, but you have to get a license to sell it. I got my liquor license at 18, and that law confuses even native louisianians! A mandatory evacuation order was put into effect when hurricane Katrina reached a category 5 (the highest category) but many people ignored the order because they thought they could ride out the storm. While, yes, police CAN arrest you if you are caught not obeying an evacuation order, the likelihood of any police still being in the area is slim. Voodoo is a huge tourist attraction for New Orleans. We have loads of voodoo shops and macabre museums that make light of death, so it doesn’t surprise me that the apartment was turned into one as well.
Zach took losing homecoming way harder than most, for a number of reasons, he wanted to win really bad, he worked really hard on his campaign and speech, but he blew it by making a silly joke- about something like dedicated Nap times at school. The joke fell flat and his competitor was very serious and professional. So Zach was humiliated to the core
@@lacunarikain2 for the majority of Americans, no. I don't think I've ever met anyone who wasn't on the homecoming court that really cared about there even being a homecoming court

One of the weirder parts of this story for me, is that in an episode of buzzfeed unsolved they actually do a ghost investigation in this building (the apartment was not the primary focus) but it is very eerie to know this whole story after seeing that episode.
it definitely sounds like the combination of the repeated abuse by addie, the PTSD from his service, his abuse of drugs and alcohol reached a tipping point, and he just snapped. i think the necrophilia came about as he probably experienced an extreme high/rush from killing and discovered it sexually charged him up as well. once the high/rush was gone, he realized he has to do something with her body. as gruesome as it sounds, dismembering the body was his only option, to avoid possibly being spotted carrying her dead body out of the apt to dispose of it. i think he recognized the things he felt from killing (the power, the control, the sexual gratification, etc) were things he was going to need to feel again, which meant he would have to kill again. so i believe he chose to end his life instead of becoming a possible serial killer.
its awfully frightening the way you're describing this... do we need to talk about maybe what you do in your free time? sounds like you're speaking from existence
See, now I looked at it as him missing her and wanting to be with her one more time....Based on what happened AFTER, I don't think he was a psychopath, which seems to be what you are describing. He DID have remorse...
I agree with you on the repeated abuse and severe PTSD, but everything else is an eye roll. I don’t think he found a high to kill and wanted to kill again. That would trigger his PTSD and there are no indications that he was going to kill again. I think he committed neceophilia because of some sort of break in reality, then fell asleep, and woke up kind of realizing what he had done. A serial killer or wannabe wouldn’t kill themselves to stop their urge. Serial killers kill to keep their urge going and won’t stop. They’re too narcissistic and arrogant to kill themselves. He was rightfully angry and triggered after being abused by the government and his POS abusive ex-girlfriend who only got back together with him to satisfy a second time of revenge. No, no, no. Calling everyone to tell them that he has AID’s and forcing him out of the closet is not enough for her. She was a sick and twisted individual. She is not a victim and in my opinion deserved what she got. You don’t get to be a POS to everyone around you, think you’re superior, and cry whenever things don’t go your way and not expect to get some sort of consequence. Some people deserve to be murdered. His situation makes sense to me, most likely because I’ve been abused and have come close to making plans to kill my abusers. I didn’t go through with it because it wasn’t worth it. But, if you haven’t been in this type of situation, you won’t understand it. Rationality and logic goes out the window after being abused nearly every day for years.
I think Zac had been losing it for years and finally snapped after Addie's betrayal over the rent and contract. Obviously his behaviour is totally unacceptable and an irrational reaction,, but I believe that Addie constituted a huge sense of loss on all fronts in his life at that time. Not only did she send all those text messages about AIDS rumours to people he knew (which would have been a lot less acceptable than it is nowadays), but she rejected his children. I think he felt stuck because he loved her and his children, but could only have one of the other. The grizzly necrophilia act was out of character for him. Maybe after all those months of a tumultuous relationship with Addie, it was (cringe and unacceptable) him trying to relive more peaceful moments with her. I think the PTSD had a lot to do with his actions. I think that after seeing disfigured and dismembered bodies during war, that he was sensitised to seeing it and his fight instinct never came down. That's why he thrived post-Hurricane while everyone else didn't. I think the murder was definitely had an episode the last until he realised what he had done and "punished" himself for it. The person he loved and hated had merged to seem the same for him to have dismembered Addie. Personally as a parent, I could not continue love or a relationship with somebody who mistreated my child, so I think he should have left it at that. Remember that the child who befriend him was killed because of their friendship? A link. Everything becomes somehow linked when mental illness snowballs out of control and class A drugs/ mood disorders are a lethal combination. Highs and lows are intensified and occur more frequently because the user is creating their own additional highs and lows with drugs I think Addie was definitely Bipolar. This explains her mood changes and not caring if she lived or died during Hurricane Katerina. They both had a chronic need for attention from others (seriously, who cares about a high school prom king competition when you leave high school?) and I think Addie hated the fact that she wasn't even competing with another woman for attention (she was fine with his ex), but a man was a level she couldn't compete at. So sad, immature and petty on both parts. This reminds me a folié a duex! If they had both sought help or gone their separate ways, I don't think the situation would have reached the tragic climax that it did.
The incident of necrophilia seemed to me to be an act of rage, along with everything he did after that, which makes sense given how intense the fight was leading up to it.
I was also wondering if it was denial. Stop the abuse, “control” the situation, and move on like everything is the same and the way that he wanted it to be.
Ya'll, this love story is so twisted and despicable. What Zack did to Addie's remains is entirely unacceptable. It doesn't really help with the investigation that Zack had taken away his own life as well (allegedly). Sigh. I wish both of them could've sought for help early on b/c their own demons are just so difficult to deal with/overcome.
What she did to his life, prior to getting killed, was ugly as well. He had an abnormal, atavistic reaction following the killing. For her part, the killing had a much greater impact on her life than his subsequent actions, however ugly.
as someone whos heavily spiritual (pagan) and someone whos been through a category 5 hurricane- it is definitely the combinations of C-PTSD and trauma of the natural disaster rather than spirits. Yes, spirits can influence someone, but this is all.. this is the culmination of a long life of abuse.
I agree I am also pagan and it is true, as you say, the forces can influence people However, in this instance, there is severe PTSD, drug use, abuse and so on. It’s very sad.
I’m from the US. It’s high school, everything is a big deal to high schoolers. I can nearly guarantee that his classmates laughed about Zach dropping out from his senior year, but his feelings shouldn’t be diluted. It was a big deal to him, and it’s so sad. Because it’s not, in the big picture, a big deal. But kids are super emotional, and everything is a big deal to them.
There are only a select few people who care about winning homecoming queen or king (actually mostly queen, guys don't usually care). It's usually the super popular girls and yes it can be quite devastating and causes lifelong cattiness and resentment that manifests in raising daughters that are under a lot of extreme pressure to be cheerleaders and homecoming queen.
It's crazy you're doing this story across the ocean...wow. I went to school with Addie in Durham...I didn't know her too well, but she stood out at our school as the free spirit...such a cool chick. I was shocked when I heard her fate on the news when this happened....R.I.P Addie♥️
I am SO glad you didnt paint this story as Zack being some abusive monster as opposed to the truth that Addie was certainly no angel, at, all. Too many youtubers want to paint her as some damsel in distress when thats not what happened at all.
I love your deep dives into these less well-known cases! You do such an amazing job of not watering things down, but not sensationalizing the acts for views. I would love to get your take on the Susan Polk case from about 2005 - there are some details in that case that are WILD. Love your work!
Zach had a psychotic break. Everything he had been through had just lead up to this moment. Based off of history (the best predictor of violence is history of violence), I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that Addie had been physically, verbally, and emotionally abusing him up to the point that he killed her. No, it does not excuse what he did, since it was obviously not a case of her overpowering him. I believe his suicide was his “come back” to reality. He realized what he had done, and everything just crashed down upon him. If I were in that situation, I believe I would have done the same as Zach (committing suicide as a result of realizing what you did when you were in a psychotic break.) As a mental health technician, I see and hear so many stories of things people have done when they are completely psychotic, and then they get treatment and are so completely, utterly lost and feel tremendous guilt. If only the right resources could have helped both Zach and Addie, this could have been prevented. The theory of voodoo being a factor is absolute fear mongering of an ancient, historical spiritual religion. The fact that so many people believe it to this day to be a worshipping of “evil gods” to inflict pain on others is disgusting and highly disrespectful to those who have passed down and properly picked up the religion itself (don’t worry Danielle, you didn’t disrespect this religion at all). I don’t practice, as it is considered a closed practice except for a certain group of people, but I respect it as a spiritualist and am outraged at the stereotypes that have been allowed to continue on through New Orleans tourism and culture. You can serve and sell alcohol at the age of 18, but you need to be licensed and go through a state-required certification program that differs in each state. I had RAMP training in PA when I was 18, and it was good for I think two years, but I got out of the alcohol serving industry so I haven’t renewed it. My thoughts go out to both Zach’s children and his ex-wife, along with Addie and her family. It is truly a lose-lose situation.
@@BeckBeckGo The military has spent decades perfecting how to train soldiers to go "fight" instead of "flight". I could absolutely see him slipping into an aggressive mode after being triggered by what he saw as a threat. Doesn't make it any less tragic.
I’m a veteran, but I didn’t enlist until 2007 when I was 18. By the time I finished my MOS training it was 2009, so a fair bit after the initial invasion. That first two or three years was the worst, based on what I’ve learned and judging off of those early veterans. It became easy to tell, with a high percentage of accuracy, who was deployed into the suck in those early days, based on their mental status and stability. Some of the best people I know are the same ones I’m talking about now, so I don’t mean that disrespectfully in any way… It’s hard to explain, especially because I wouldn’t betray the trust of said people even anonymously, the worst cases of PTSD I have ever seen come from that particular group of soldiers. I don’t know, I’m not making excuses for his behavior, it’s just that this story doesn’t surprise me.
I saw this as a story of tragedy as the result of childhood trauma and of war. Two people who may have gone on to live happy and fulfilling lives if not for the circumstances they found themselves in. Which sadly is the case with a lot of tragedies. Child abuse and war have a lot to answer to, and yet we seem to complicity condone both even in modern society. I don’t want to assume but given that you served, I hope that you are able to work through the traumas that you would have been exposed to, so that you can go on to live a life free from the negative effects of your experiences. Peace and love to you.
I love the links you were making throughout the whole story like talking about Zack enjoying being king of the survivor group to compensate for homecoming. Love your vids
I live in the New Orleans area 🥳 You got it right when you said “N’awlins” 👍🏼 Homecoming is HUGE in the South … 🤴🏻 👸🏼 Hurricane Katrina was devastating. It was a nightmare that went on for years, some areas haven’t recovered. Some people haven’t come back, never did. Regarding you didn’t think there was a mandatory evacuation when Lana begged them to evacuate: There was. The New Orleans mayor advised that anyone who intended to shelter in place and not evacuate to please duct tape their state ID or driver’s license to their chest & write their Social Security number on their feet with a sharpie so that emergency personnel could ID them after the storm. Those who stayed saw horrors beyond comprehension. The stories of tragedy after the hurricane could fill volumes in a book. A lot of people changed for the worst after Hurricane Katrina. FYI - It will never be back to normal here. NEVER.💔
When they say New Orrleeens my skin literally crawls. We hate it so much, right! Lol. Our culture is very protective of our culture and we dont take kindly to mispronunciation or getting anything wrong about the Cajun/Creole culture. I die each time she says it. Like, just say NOLA, that's better than the other. And, no, the city has never been the same. Breaks my heart cuz N'awlins was such a great and beautiful city, full of culture and life. I have family living there, I spent half my life in Lafayette and half in NOLA. I loved it there, now when I visit, it just makes me sad. Danielle, I'm a new listener of these very interesting stories!! You do a great job and I'm getting hooked. I look forward to hearing one each day! Boy some people are really evil and crazy!!
As someone in the Southeast US, the culture around hurricanes is pretty wild. It’s kind of treated like indoor camping if the lights go off. Kids sometimes go out and play in the rain. People fire up their grills and it’s basically a party. I’ve never been through something like Katrina though so ymmv
I remember seeing this on a Buzzfeed Unsolved episode where they visited the voodoo temple and just briefly mentioned the murder. So good to hear the details as I have never really heard anyone cover it before. Such a sad case, if they loved the survivalist lifestyle so much, why not just move off the grid instead of living in one of the most bustling and tourist heavy cities
Jon Chrymes did a great video on Zack and Addy. He was failed greatly by our VA system. I know first hand how they fail their veterans every damn day. This shouldn't have happened. It didn't have to happen. RIP Addy. And Zack.
Yes! Jon Chrymes is so underrated. He has the most creative, empathetic true crime content, out of all the TH-cam channels and podcasts I have listened too. Of course Danielle and the other makeup & true crime ladies are great, too!
@@wtrzs I lived in the UK the NHS sucks too. Many children and people have died because they have to make an appointment to get seen at the ER. Norway has much of a less population than the US. We already have a medical staff shortage…..
I have a case suggestion. This took place in 1984 in my hometown of Logan, OH. It was a double murder/mutilation of a young couple and how it was horribly handled by the local police, lawyers and townspeople. An innocent man was convicted, the true murderers confessed decades later. It was covered in a book called "Guilty by Popular Demand" by Bill Osinski. It may not be what you are looking for but I would be interested in your take on the case. LOVE your videos!
Some people really thrive in a crisis. Weirdly - or, depending on where you come from, not weirdly at all - these same people struggle with normalcy. They just can't cope when there's no battle to fight, so they create the battle. The immediately clear version of this is soldiers and cops who get in bar fights when they're off-duty. They're used to being "on" and struggle sometimes to find the "off switch". You can often see this with addicts/alcoholics. Life is the battle, and when life is good there's nothing to fight - so we create the battle, making things tougher on ourselves. But when there's a crisis, we are definitely the people you want in charge. So it doesn't surprise me at all that these two wholly dysfunctional people really rose to the occasion of the storm.
Those people be this ones with PTSD. I have one ☝️ and yeah, I’m crisis I don’t even remember sometimes what I do, but always spot on! You’ll survive with me by your side in a crisis! Another thing is - I can literally smell perpetrators and people’s bad intentions! Too bad though, “regular” people never hear me - it’s like they’re tone-death to the underground world of “intentions”… it’s pretty interesting! It’s hard to adjust to “normal” life though… seems so hard to just live a quiet peaceful life, even though we do crave one.
I find your videos interesting, I love how you inject levity and watching you put on your makeup is strangely captivating; today I thought, "Green? And so dark! How can she make that work?" The finished look amazed me...it really brought out the gorgeous colour of your eyes! In some places being homecoming king/queen is considered an enormous accomplishment, endowed power and was highly coveted; the connection with not being homecoming and and being "king" of the community was no a large leap; it was my first thought also. I'm already waiting for your next video!
Thank you for being so thorough with this case. I have watched a lot on this case, and NO ONE has ever delved into the hours leading up to murder. This is the first I heard of all that apt treachery, etc. and all I can say is DAAAAANG, she was something ELSE... I really appreciate finally finding out this last bit of info that may have contributed to him snapping. 🙏❤🙏
I’m from the US Washington State local. Homecoming was not that big of a deal at my high school. But certain people definitely really care about it more than the rest. & yes you can serve alcohol as a minor between 18-21. You cannot open or pour alcohol but you can serve it with a liquor license
I completely agree! I would have to have someone over 21 open or pour the alcohol and I would be able to bring it to the customer and charge them for it
That's so weird, in MI when I started serving (10 years ago already though) I was 17 and could open and serve alcohol without a licence and after I turned 18 I could have bartended.
Raised in New Orleans, evacuated for Katrina barely in time! When the levee broke it destroyed everything! I haven’t heard this story but the internet didn’t work as quick then and I was in shock! Lost everything and was a new mom! When I came back the energy was very dark! Things were definitely disturbed to say the least. This story is unfortunate and personally I have to wonder if she was abusing him when he snapped! Not that any of it is ok! Also I LOVE this eyeshadow!! Also let’s not forget that Katrina seriously devastated Mississippi! If the levee wouldn’t have failed it wouldn’t have been as terrible!
In Zach's defense there wasn't any way for us to communicate with the outside world for a few weeks. It was the worst storm we've ever experienced and as a survivalist myself I bet he was thriving in those conditions. I am from this area a lot of people stay when bad storms come its our home and everyone have different reasons as to why they stay as well but a lot of times families get out of here with their kiddos regardless of how we feel about the place. :) Also the way you said New Orleans the second time in the beginning of your video was correct :)
I grew up in South Mississippi and folks stayed during Kytrina because they had always gone through hurricanes before. So many died though. Folks several blocks from the beach were found drowned in their houses from the storm surge.
@@seriouslyjoking2 In fact he did. He would come to me often about it. He had other issues that weren't released to the public as well, and out of respect I won't disclose either. He just broke one day. I could see it. I knew something was wrong when we asked where Addy was and he couldn't meet my eye. I just didn't know what it was until they found him on the hotel.

Yes Danielle, there was a mandatory evacuation. But there are a LOT of low income people without access to a vehicle. The city and state government promised buses to help evacuate those people, but the buses didn't come until several days after the storm. Hurricane Katrina became a political storm. Many died because of this, alongside those who died from the storm itself. Natives to New Oleans correct me if I'm wrong in this.
At that time, I think Hoco king/queen probably meant a lot. I think it kinda lost its special-ness through the 2010s for the most part. Although, I’m sure there are still places where they really “care” about Hoco and all those traditions.

Yay! Sometimes I feel pathetic at how much I look forward to Danielle's cases and her absolutely lovely accent 😆 💜 EDIT: In my school, here in NY, Homecoming King, Queen and Court was mostly important to those who considered themselves "popular". I don't think anyone else really cared and it was just another "dance".
Wow, I can't believe I've never heard this story before- I am originally from New Orleans and had family living there during Katrina (they evacuated). Thanks for covering this. What a tragic story! So many pieces that I could comment on but instead I thought i'd answer some of your questions. 1. Is homecoming a big deal? To some people it really is, however the fact that Zach was even nominated for king would have been an honor to anyone I know who cares about homecoming. Not just anyone gets nominated so that should already speak volumes about how popular and well liked Zach had become. 2. How was Zach able to serve drinks before he reached the legal drinking age? While the drinking age in all states is 21, it is legal to serve alcohol beginning at age 18. I know, our laws are really strange lol, especially around drinking. 3. Was zach and addy's behavior during the storm odd? Sort of. It is odd that they didn't evacuate but their behavior during the aftermath was not atypical based on my experience. There's nothing to do in the aftermath of a storm like that except listen to the radio if you happen to have one, hoping for news. Theres no electricity and nothing is open. (Sidenote: the act of waiting out a storm and its aftermath in these types of conditions, by the way, is called "hunkering down"). So, whilst hunkering down, people tend to drink to pass time. That's what we always do during storms if we havent evacuated. I do find it odd however that zach never contacted his family. Surely his cell phone would have had enough battery for at least the first night of the storm. Also want to add that if he didn't have a radio he really may not have realized how serious the storm was because I don't think people anticipated the levee breaking and the ensuing devastation. If he was in one of those pockets of the city that wasn't hit too badly, maybe he thought the rest of thr city was in a similar state.
This is an incredible video, and isn’t sensationalized like others. Jon Chrymes has an INCREDIBLE super detailed video on this story and it’s so empathetic to both of them. Thank you for this video! Great work
I'm from Louisiana, this case was so heartbreaking. Buzzfeed Unsolved's Shane and Ryan actually went to the "Zak and Addie" house with a medium.. pretty cool episode.
The "medium" was "Bloody Mary" and the entire city hates her for opening up that apartment as a tourist attraction. It especially hurts those of us who knew the couple well.
To me, I wouldn't say Zack is evil. I think maybe the abuse with Addie was getting worse and worse to the point he had a psychotic break like you said and strangled her and had sex with her corpse. And maybe afterwards thought "Oh my God what the hell have I done?" Which I think was why he spray painted all those letters about his confession and to call his ex wife and eventually took his own life so he wouldn't live with the guilt. This case to me is very sad to me because Addie didn't deserve it whether she was abusive or not but neither did Zack. And I looked on his mom and kids' Facebooks and they miss him as well even though he wasn't there for his kids in the last of his life. This case is so sad but I also have a lot of mixed emotions on it.
I feel similarly. Victims all around. Childhood abuse and war are just the most horrific things that can break even the purest of souls. I wish his and her families the best after having to cope with such a horrific situation - I can’t even imagine what it would have been like to find out.

Depends on where you are. Some states it’s huge. I live on Long Island and it’s a pretty big deal here.

Spot on you are so right about being in their own use. Mental problems can put anyone in a delusional situation. Thank you for your words.

ADHD, and ADD too for that matter, are neurological divergences, not mental illnesses.
That color really brings out your eyes! So freaking beautiful but super creepy while you’re talking about this terrible case.

I don’t think this is an appropriate tour to be taking! It’s alarming that people would even want to go there and paying to go, that’s worse!
Me too. But 19 was legal to bartend in GA when I did so.

Its criminal how these veterans are disregarded after coming back. They aren't the same and they need help. It's truly heartbreaking
What? Been back from war too long? So messed up. It could take years before someone recognized they have a problem

I just have to say growing up in south Florida and constantly being hit by hurricanes, it’s like common for people to throw “hurricane parties” it’s like camping in your own house
Everyone stocks up on booze and snacks and camping food and what not and all pile up in whoever’s house is the biggest and just party and have fun, because it really helps to distract from the horror that’s going on outside your doors and you don’t have access to the news to see the devastation.
I can see that as being a coping mechanism for something so existential and outside of one’s control.

The OP shared what their family used to do and you use that moment to chastise them and tell them they need to turn to God. Do you know this person personally? How about not judging others?
I actually feel so bad for Zach. That boy needed rehab and therapy and I think he would have responded well and would have become the father he was in the beginning.

Small story time:
Me and my family were visiting new Orleans, and went on a tour that talked about this case.
Creepy.
Wow...I believe it
Yup, New Orleans is VERY haunted.
i think the reason Zack thrived so much being in the hurricane and be labeled as the king of it is because he actually finally felt like he fit in he got that validation that he needed to fit in. just like in high school he needed to be the king to finally feel like he fits in and he didn’t get it so once he finally he got he finally felt like he fit in. that’s why i think he thrived to much during the hurricane.
Lol :)

After the psychotic break NOTHING that happened was acceptable. I do believe, however, that he never regained himself after breaking. That's when he planned his suicide and made sure all loose ends were tied. You can also see that is when logic returned in his mind. This whole thing is frightening and sad.

As someone from Louisiana, I can say:
Yes, homecoming king and queen is a huge deal. So is prom king and queen. (It’s probably because of the southern pagentry aspect)
Yes, you can serve and sell alcohol at the age of 18 even if you cant drink it, but you have to get a license to sell it.
We have loads of voodoo shops and macabre museums that make light of death, so it doesn’t surprise me that the apartment was turned into one as well.

it definitely sounds like the combination of the repeated abuse by addie, the PTSD from his service, his abuse of drugs and alcohol reached a tipping point, and he just snapped. i think the necrophilia came about as he probably experienced an extreme high/rush from killing and discovered it sexually charged him up as well.
once the high/rush was gone, he realized he has to do something with her body. as gruesome as it sounds, dismembering the body was his only option, to avoid possibly being spotted carrying her dead body out of the apt to dispose of it.
i think he recognized the things he felt from killing (the power, the control, the sexual gratification, etc) were things he was going to need to feel again, which meant he would have to kill again. so i believe he chose to end his life instead of becoming a possible serial killer.
its awfully frightening the way you're describing this... do we need to talk about maybe what you do in your free time? sounds like you're speaking from existence

I think he was desensitized, if anything.
@@Veruska75 I agree with you. I think she used the wrong word, but agreed with what she wrote.

I've been binge watching her videos and I freaking love this woman!!!
The incident of necrophilia seemed to me to be an act of rage, along with everything he did after that, which makes sense given how intense the fight was leading up to it.
Maybe the necorphilia could have been him in denial pretending she was still alive
What she did to him was also unacceptable. Abuse is never ever acceptable either.
as someone whos heavily spiritual (pagan) and someone whos been through a category 5 hurricane- it is definitely the combinations of C-PTSD and trauma of the natural disaster rather than spirits. Yes, spirits can influence someone, but this is all.. this is the culmination of a long life of abuse.
I agree
I am also pagan and it is true, as you say, the forces can influence people
However, in this instance, there is severe PTSD, drug use, abuse and so on. It’s very sad.
Omg that is horrific. I can't imagine someone killing a child for the simple fact of being kind and talking to a soldier. War sucks! 😓
Well being a soldier coming into people's land and murdering them is just as horrific if u ask me.
@@nesrinedekkiche6490 Both are horrible. Killing innocent people anywhere is unacceptable.
Well that was a plot twist I wasn't expecting. Such a sad and messed up story though, my heart goes out to his two children and his ex-wife.
Thank you Danielle for covering this case- never heard of it before. Also stunning make up, as always!
When you’re a teenager, winning homecoming king or queen is a big deal… as an adult, no, it’s just a silly popularity contest.
Not always true, when I went to prom, both years, we drew a name out of a hat and the winning was random because nobody in my grade cared.
When I was a teenager I didn’t care in the slightest just as I do now as an adult
It's crazy you're doing this story across the ocean...wow. I went to school with Addie in Durham...I didn't know her too well, but she stood out at our school as the free spirit...such a cool chick. I was shocked when I heard her fate on the news when this happened....R.I.P Addie♥️
You should make a little tally chart keeping track of all the astrological signs and reveal it in the intro♊️♏️♋️♉️♈️
Who was the other Taurus?
I thought the same thing!
@Henzo88 I’ve noticed that it’s pretty accurate in a lot of instances. - even if it’s a bit odd, no need to judge people. Everyone has their thing.
@Henzo88 It’s more for fun, at least for me
@Henzo88 yup. you dont have to believe it but let them have their fun. not like its a harmful belief
I am SO glad you didnt paint this story as Zack being some abusive monster as opposed to the truth that Addie was certainly no angel, at, all. Too many youtubers want to paint her as some damsel in distress when thats not what happened at all.
I'm from America and I can say from my personal opinion that homecoming king/queen or even prom king/queen means absolutely nothing.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂u right
I love your deep dives into these less well-known cases!
Totally agree that he had a psychotic break. It seems so obvious I don't understand why there is even a question surrounding it...
The necrophilia is deeper than just snapping, this dude was fucked
It’s possible, but most people experiencing psychosis aren’t usually violent. If anything they’re at increased risk of becoming victims of violence.
@@BeckBeckGo But, with his background of the military, PTSD, I could see it happening.
I live in the New Orleans area 🥳 You got it right when you said “N’awlins” 👍🏼
Homecoming is HUGE in the South … 🤴🏻 👸🏼
Hurricane Katrina was devastating.
But, our people are strong and resilient and will always bounce back.

Danielle, I'm a new listener of these very interesting stories!! You do a great job and I'm getting hooked. I look forward to hearing one each day! Boy some people are really evil and crazy!!
Btw, as much as I love your content, I am in awe of your makeup skills. This eye look is STUNNING 💚💚
As someone in the Southeast US, the culture around hurricanes is pretty wild. It’s kind of treated like indoor camping if the lights go off. Kids sometimes go out and play in the rain. People fire up their grills and it’s basically a party. I’ve never been through something like Katrina though so ymmv
I love you videos, I listen to them while I cook, do my makeup, clean , answering emails and even when I’m working
RIP Addy. And Zack.
This is why I’m shocked people are pushing for National Heath care. Looking at VA & Medicare you do not want the gov’t anywhere near your health care.
@@rancherbabe7137 because it usually works. Look at Canada, Norway, Switzerland. Just bc it’s a failure w the VA, doesn’t mean it will never work.
His video is so underrated
That’s so stupid how will you serve it if you don’t open it -
I completely agree! I would have to have someone over 21 open or pour the alcohol and I would be able to bring it to the customer and charge them for it
@@Prettypaid16 depends on the town and state. In my city and state, you could be 18 and bartend. But you had to be TIP certified
That's so weird, in MI when I started serving (10 years ago already though) I was 17 and could open and serve alcohol without a licence and after I turned 18 I could have bartended.
I think it depends on the state. I got my bartenders license and a job at 18
This is probably one of my favorite looks you've done! That green is gorgeous!

Raised in New Orleans, evacuated for Katrina barely in time! When the levee broke it destroyed everything! I haven’t heard this story but the internet didn’t work as quick then and I was in shock!
New Orleans will always be home.
I grew up in South Mississippi and folks stayed during Kytrina because they had always gone through hurricanes before. So many died though. Folks several blocks from the beach were found drowned in their houses from the storm surge.
While agree with you, Zac was mentally unstable to deal with the traumas that he experienced in Iraq. I am sure he had CPTSD.

Graduated in 2005...no one really cared then.

EDIT: In my school, here in NY, Homecoming King, Queen and Court was mostly important to those who considered themselves "popular". I don't think anyone else really cared and it was just another "dance".
I agree, being from NY, Homecoming didn’t mean much to most.

@@PandaBearStorm129 that one! I couldn't think of it for shit! Thanks.
