@@Cloud-ql3oy They would absolutely get my vote! 🤩 So, CES did something different this year. Being a 4 day Expo, there would, of course, be some surprises and reveals spread out across the week. Day 1 was, apparently, Cosplay day. Although there were other Exhibitors who demonstrated their products using celebrities and athletes, SONY caught us all off guard. Aloy and the Watcher were just 2 of the many Cosplayers I had seen there. "The Last of Us" was also part of the exhibit, and there were "post-apocalyptic" Cosplayers battling an infected human. @@ArkOfTheShadow Yeah, actually. If you look at the dino's legs, you can see a human in there wearing black, so as to help hide his own legs. It was really cool to see up close. The other Cosplayer, Aloy, was really into the character. I'm happy to have seen so many Cosplayers there. Last year, this wasn't a thing.

As far as the name of the actual Cosplayer herself, I honestly don't know. The only information I could obtain was that the costume of Aloy, and The Watcher itself, was by @spectralmotion and @rick_galinson. I hope this helps narrow your search. When I tried to get better footage, there was a woman, who seemed to be staff, walking around the Cosplayers and keeping us away. According to the storyline of Horizon Zero Dawn (SONY PlayStation 4), a swarm of Chariot war machines, known as the "Faro Plague", consumed the entirety of the Earth's biosphere in the mid 21st century. Humans and all other forms of life became extinct, and Earth was rendered sterile. Aloy, The Warrior, was created by GAIA, the governing artificial intelligence. Humans were genetically engineered at first (like Aloy), then they reproduced. The robots, of various design and type, are terraforming Earth back to a liveable state. Now the 31st century, human civilization simply regressed to tribal societies of hunters and gatherers who survive in immense forests, imposing mountain ranges, and the atmospheric ruins of their ancestors. Some robots became deranged; no longer obeying the commands of Humans. They hunt the remaining Humans for HADES, a rogue Artificial Intelligence, bent on reactivating the Faro Plague in order to wipe out all life again. In the actual video game, Aloy doesn't actually own or control a Watcher, but rather encounters them frequently as a common enemy because Watchers are designed to scout and patrol areas, making them a prevalent threat she must face during her journey. Their role is essentially to act as reconnaissance machines, allowing other larger machines to be alerted to potential dangers in the environment. As far as the Cosplayers shown here at the SONY Exhibit at CES, Aloy is seen ready to destroy the Watcher with her bow & arrow. Perhaps she has, somehow, managed to override the Derangement in this Watcher, and make it her companion. Together, they stand against HADES and the onslaught of machines. ✌
