Oh, the memories this brought back. Carlos, you are such a loving soul and I am so glad had the opportunity to meet you and attend the ceremonies at The Ayahuasca Foundation. If anyone here is thinking about going. Do It! It was one of the hardest things I've ever done and I am so glad I did it!

@@6688ya I’ve done a lot of research myself and too want to go in 2022. So far, this is where I would go in Peru: earthmedicineexperience.com as Chris sounds like he keeps a small group of no more than 8-10 and “vets” everyone ahead of time. I saw a great film on Netflix regarding the Shaman there named Pepe. The film is called The Last Shaman. The other option I like and will research further is Gaia Sagrada and is located in Ecuador. Whatever you decide, please ask about their safety measures and ensure they are the real deal. If you call and they don’t talk to you and get all your background info, they are probably not good. Lots of dangerous and not so great places out there taking advantage of this powerful, therapeutic medicine these days.

Thanks for the great film. Wish more people could afford to travel to get the help they need with these medicine plants. I traveled to Costa Rica (Rythmia Life Advancement Center) and attended 4 plant ceremonies for my depression and other ailments. I have been home now for about 7wks and the medicine continues to work on me. I want to go deeper with ayahuasca and have been doing more research on different centers in South America. I’m blessed and grateful that ayahuasca found me and has helped me out of a dark place. Films like this can help people Meade a decision on what feels right for themselves. 🙏 🦋👁🦋

I feel the same. Covering this subject always necessitates that the topic of spiritual healing is addressed, and the impact of our modern Western collective consciousness is revealed (stress, fear, trauma, disconnection from self, untreated illness). Like it’s lifting the veil.

Excellent documentary!! I’ve watched over 30 hours on ayahuasca and this was different and different is another great perspective. Forget the naysayers. All the participants in this film were awesome and forthcoming. The apprentice sounds like he has a lot of the answers . He’s just very knowledgeable and is trying to help the others connect the dots to make some sense of experience as Don Juan does not speak English. I hope he gets well compensated. Truth be said if it wasn’t for him us westerners especially the ones who do not speak Spanish wouldn’t have the same trust and connection to be there. So thank you Christian for all your great work. I truly hope your psoriasis will be healed. Much love to everyone and all their hard work that went into this documentary and transporting us there by “armchair travels” to witness some of it. ❤️

    Thanks for sharing this.
I was pleased to see that no one tried to 'sell' or 'denounce' this experience.
It was nether glorified nor vilified.
The shaman's helper, as it were, seems to be an ideal character for his role.
He seems gentle, understanding, knowledgeable and unwilling to mollycoddle the participants.
I was also glad to see the shaman / practitioner say that he did not need fancy alters or props, but that allowing the ceremony and plants to do their part was enough.

The other documentary that I just watched before this one was scary. People were seeing demons and purging loudly. Then they would be happy again. One guy was asking for help while he was tripping hard and the supposed Shamen ,who was also the retreat owner, was speaking so condescendingly to his client. Then the retreat owner/shaman, after posting the video on TH-cam , threatened to remove the video due to comments. I would never ever go to that retreat.
I liked this documentary and retreat. This was a small group and they were very accommodating to their guests. This documentary was very well rounded.

Thank you for this documentary, its made so well, going back to really see the people who took the ayahuasca and to see how well they look was an excellent touch. I cried when I saw the lady with the rheumatoid arthritis, was as if I went on a time machine and see me like I was I able to walk, to hold up a cup of water, the pain of the sheets touching, I knew her pain, I refused though to take prescription medications, until I started to use cannabis it help some but after I used ayahuasca my life changed, I now can walk as if nothing has happened, I know if she keeps going to ayahuasca once a year she will heal completely, also changing your eating, thinking habits will enable her to recover even in a short period of time.

Still watching but so far a great great documentary. I suffer from chronic health and tbh if my body could tollerate it, I would be doing this too. People who don't have chronic illness havent a clue how desperate you become to feel some form of normality in your life. Alot of people being rude have no issues taking motrin for a headache, mentstrual cramps, food poisoning or synthetic drugs for depression or anxiety but your being dinks to people who just want help. Some of you are young so remember when u grow up and get chronic health issues that you harshly judged these people.
Side note.. I cannot imagine anything more annoying then trippin and having someone chant in your face while beating you in the head with leaves :)

I get severe anxiety attacks at times, and I can be (almost) as relaxed as a Zen monk other times. I KNOW that drinking ayahuasca gives me that sense of transcendental peace and amazing, genuinely positive feelings that can last for weeks or even months. It is TRULY a great sensation to be and feel so connected to the Source. . . or IS it the source? See, the only negative about drinking ayahuasca is that my conscience tells me REALLY loud and clear that I am committing a sin by going into these astral planes, and I KNOW I am, but at the se time I cant cope with these several sudden bouts of really bad anxiety, and I end up opting for the medicine. I mean, it's something AMAZING every time of course, but I can't help but feel this weird sense of guilt for not obeying God's laws. So for me, ayahuasca is both amazing and a guilty pleasure that even though it cleanses me in ways i hadnt imagined, it leaves me with this ever-so-subtle feeling of uneasiness and vulnerability, like I'm messing with something I REALLY shouldn't touch. I guess what I'm trying to say is, PLEASE pray for me to be able to break this viscious cycle, because I think Ive become dependent on somethung that is really against God's laws, and that I feel leaves the door open for many deceptive and evil beings. Please pray for me, and if you can, give me some advice to truly walk on the Lord's path. Thank you.

+Cesar Millanes Hi Cesar, I know it doesn't mean that much but my advice to yourself is - relax. All of our life is a journey and you get to experience things along the way. Some good - some bad. The guilt I think you are feeling comes from your own belief regarding sin and God..... It's really up to you to either give the Ayahuasca up, or go with the flow and accept it that it is helping you. It is our taught beliefs that sometimes can hinder our own evolution. Investigate for yourself. But most importantly be honest and true with yourself - what is good for you? Anyway - relax> Love, david

Our addiction to material goods and the necessity of money, not to mention our disconnection from nature (living in a concrete jungle) has caused many ailments. It is obvious from this documentary that the success of those undergoing the ceremonies is multipurpose; Mind (mental) through speaking about the issues, spiritual through the drink, and physical through the change in the environment and dietary habits (and purging). It's a holistic approach which most likely would not work if dissected into parts.

Beautiful! Thank you. Beautiful Shaman People. Like your cool attitude. Do not blame yourself,it meant to be for Lucio to leave his body. If someone is not involved and has no 100% desire to survive, not even Ayahuasca can help. It is sooo selfish and unfair for someone to say Lucio would live if you did not abandoned him, he abandoned your friendship and he abandoned himself. I understand the process last for about 15 days. How much it usually cost for someone to come and stay there including trip for the whole process.

Wow! Is all I can say about Irene! Looks and sounds like a different woman. I was telling my sister there's a 65/70 year old woman in this film and now and I'm watching it all the way through, I'm like what!? she only looks like she's about 45/50.

If any of you are interested in trying Ayahuasca in a traditional way, or are looking for any sort of advice or help integrating your Ayahuasca experience, we did a really interesting talk with Meriana Dinkova, who specializes in Ayahuasca therapy, and hosts regular Ayahuasca retreats down in Peru, where people are able to do the traditional Ayahuasca ceremonies with a Shaman. She is actually holding one this coming July (2014) in Peru. Just look up Free Radical Media on youtube, and you will find it in our videos. (No Spamming or Ego Glorification intended, just the sharing of important information on often times misunderstood substances like Ayahuasca, and other entheogens alike.)

I’ve been researching this for a while because I’m very interested. However, I have to wonder if the lady that couldn’t walk got better due to the change of environment, relaxing environment, all the massages, healthier diet, sense of hope (psychological effect). All these, combined, can be extremely healing.
Same for the guy with rashes. He said he had returned and just rested for three weeks. It’s a fact that stress triggers eczema, so if he just rested for weeks after ayuhasca, was it the rest or the plant that improved his ailment?
Nothing really was told about the outcome on the younger lady, just that she moved.
I do believe and it’s known that there are plants and healthy diets that can eradicate cancer.
So while I believe in that this plant has healing elements, all the other stuff in the video to me seem a bit like quackery. Does anyone else feel the same?

This is a fantastic movie, it really educates folk to their spiritual connection Kindred, Well done, Perhaps you should list details of how folk can contact and book the shaman you used and to make folk challenge government's as to why they are not allowing in many countries. May your Love continue to light our path to the wisdom we all deserve, Much Love to you & yours

I could have lived without the explicit vomiting footage, but I guess that's necessary to understand the ceremonies.
