I tried this a couple of months ago, and I wasn't ready at all, I could not even do the on foot backflip, then I tried to do the cork.. I landed on my knees.. On grass! XD I haven't done it ever since that day, and I'm so low in my ground tricks.. But I'm probably gonna try again soon after watching this good tutorial!
I finally did it yesterday, the most important part is the wide j-step, so that you can kick with a lot of power, also the pop with your left leg or right whichever way you're going, then the twist, some people tend to bring their arms back which cancels the twist, so try to keep your arms to your side and face the way you are spinning to spot the ground. I literally did it after I tried the wide j-step.
Ethan Deng no its a cheat gainer with 360, dont think it is very hard its also is like at backward b twist to me and its not 1 foot cuz u do the j step it give very much momentum
ZeroBBQ yeah bro time really does fly, I can do 180s on ground and Double backs on trampoline etc. but I still haven’t landed my cork on ground yet :_(
-Some things he didn't cover in this video- Make sure to keep your leg completely straight during the kick. This is one of the main reasons people have low corks that they can't dub/swing. Also make sure you're kicking your leg through all the way and not wrapping it around. Overall great tutorial tanner!
my goal was to do a back flip on the ground i set that goal on a monday at school and during recess i did it the same day as you can see my profile pic is. me doing a backflip
May I suggest throwing your swing-thru leg up on an angle rather than flinging out the side. With your height already, if you just swing that leg on an angle but keep that leg reasonably straight, you'll learn dub corks and even trip corks if you try.
That means you need more height. You achieve this not only by jumping hard, but the key is to throw your arms straight up for as long as you can before you tuck.
backflips on the ground are so scary for me.. but i really want to do one. i can already almost do a double backflip without jumping on a trampoline, so i should be able to do a backflip on the ground... it sucks...
If you are wondering the same thing, you can land it on your knees easily but it will probably take some practice to get it down and landed. I started doing corks in my basement about a week after I made this comment and I didn't really get anywhere. Then I hurt my ankle for about 3 weeks being an idiot and doing a backflip no warm up (which I could barely land back then). 3 weeks later, I got a good mattress for free at a garage sale along with some free pillows and a 4 inch thick foam pad. I went for it off the mattress, and landed on my feet awkwardly and hurt my ankle for another month. One month later, I slowly got back into tricking/freerunning and didn't really focus on the cork. I decided to try corks one day and could land it on my knees with no pads. Unfortunately, before I could land it, I hurt my ankle again (trying a wallflip) and injured it again two days later at a gym which made the injury really bad. Now I am sitting here typing this, wishing my ankle was healed... Lesson: Let sprained ankles fully heal before trying new stuff. Oh, and every time I hurt my ankle but once it was on soft stuff, so don't expect them to prevent the nasty injuries.
Film your self and make sure that your not bending down to far because that will sometimes make it so you will go down and will not go all the way up and if you do that you will go flying backwards. Try that :)
@Tanner Braungardt why does everyone say its easy and i can't find any tutorial with timing your tutorial is good but i have a lot of problem with timing and it's been almost 5 months i have been trying to get the cork but i still haven't
Finally getting my cork locked in right now, it just takes time. It took me like 6 months. You should't compare yourself to others, just try to be the best you can be
David Ondrejek Cork is a Horizontal 360 twist over your shoulder off one foot usually out of a J-Step. A back full is a Backflip with a 360 twist in it, going over your head. Or sometimes they cheat their full which just makes it a two footed cork if you are a tricker. This makes it easier to translate to pop fulls and combos easier. But Gymnast usually go over their heads. Hope this helped :)
"Freak yea" XD
i got it first try
LIke a B0Ss 112 lol

MELLAMOJEFFO SAME did you learn it?
@@whisperer30 I had the same issue but I’m learning to twist left
So a cork is like a back full but only jumping off 1 foot and starting with a j-step
T and back full is keeping your legs straight and a cork is tucking a little
T Either of you are correct, a cork is an off axis 360, essentially perfectly side ways

Ethan Deng

I use pivot and I feel comfortable
do you need to be able to do it on a trampoline first? I mean without the j-step or pivot
lmao i remember when this was my dream trick, now im trying to get trip cork
0:42 FRICK YEAH
Can you do a tutorial on this but on a trampoline? That's all I have, and it would be great if you did a tutorial for a trampoline
Where did you get those pads?
omg thank you. im 10 year old kid and i got it because i watch this video
Are you planning on doing a second game of tramp?
BACK FULL!!!
Freak yeah 👇🏼😤👇🏼
I miss the old flipping videos from Tanner
Austin D Flips sameeeee
Tanner I need your help! every time I do a backflip either hit my knees or land on my hand with feet! I cant lad like a squat or anything
jump higher or spin faster, also remember to open up on time
Really throw your arms into it and tuck as tight as you can. Try to hold as long as you can without over rotating.
That means you need more height. You achieve this not only by jumping hard, but the key is to throw your arms straight up for as long as you can before you tuck.
FREAK YEAH
Thanks tanner I've just tried a back on ground I'm close but can't land it I'm only 10

backflips on the ground are so scary for me.. but i really want to do one. i can already almost do a double backflip without jumping on a trampoline, so i should be able to do a backflip on the ground... it sucks...

tanner can you help me ?
When I do a backflip on the ground then I go too far behind and then I never land on my feet do you have any tips for me?

Finally getting my cork locked in right now, it just takes time. It took me like 6 months. You should't compare yourself to others, just try to be the best you can be
Mr Stevie123 after almost 6th months too i got corks from scoot like almost 3 weeks ago i'm so happy i'll try Jstep cork soon
is it a off axis 720 back flip
now whats the diffrence between a full 360 and a cork
Full is a back flip w a twist, a cork is horizontal + twist
I like in Cork :)
is easier to do cork on trampoline??
Where can i get pads? o:
Sorry, but im really confused, whats the difference between cork, and backflip 360?

When I try doing a cork, I do a gainer/j step the opposite
