as a beginner photographer who just ordered this camera for planespotting after only having a lumix point and shoot travel camera, this video has made me so excited for my 850d. all these features look so fun to play with!

t8i is 10 times harder than t7i

Great information What I was looking for was a workaround the mirror sound. I have been using the T8i since it was introduced as well as the T7i prior to the 8. I have been really impress with the 8 and all the camera I will ever need. With the t7i, the silent shooting mode disappeared and that was really a downfall for Wildlife and people photography to have it's noisy mirror release. i prefer the accuracy of using the viewer rather than the live mode when, especially when using a long lens e.g. 600mm zoom. I was hoping to see a workaround to silent shooting in your video, however I did enjoy the detail you offered for it's use.

Boys pro tip - the body and lens covers fit into each other. So put them together instead of just sticking them somewhere in your bag where they accumulate extra dust that's gonna end up on your lens/sensor.

Just got mine my first camera.. This was helpful. I messed w it today and couldn't figure out how to zoom a video lol and how to see thru the peep hole haha I duno what its called.. i have too many lenses as I got a bundle... this the 1st vid tutorial I watched 1st one that popped up.
With the 90d dropping in price to just below 1000 for the body, wouldn’t it make more sense to spring for that rather the the T8i? If a beginner is thinking of dropping 800 on a new 8Ti, I think the 90d would be the better deal. What are your thoughts

[Urgent] question I have just got the t8i for Christmas and I went to auto mode because I don't know how to use manual yet and for some reason the exposure is extremely high and my picture is just super bright I thought it was supposed to be the right settings because it's auto but no it's really bright and I don't know why it does this what do I do is it messed up or maybe broken? I don't know please please please someone help 🙏 thank you

Hi, I set the selection dial to A (AUTO) but then in the size of the photos taken I can't set the size

When I go to M mode, my screen does not show the explosure meter at the top next to the M. It only shows shutter speed Fstop and ISO. How did you get the exposure meter along the top? thank you.

Hello. Anyone know - I want to see the pictures ive taken on the small screen after i take them. I have the camera on Sports Mode, on a mount and using a rs-60e3 remote. I have Shooting settings to Review duration 2 sec. But no pictures are shown after i take them.

Anyone know how to remove the battery door to use a battery grip with the T8i?
Does anyone know how to shoot in mov or any other format that isn’t MP4? It compresses quality badly and shooting in 4K isn’t that great either when the video goes wobbly because the camera moved slightly.
*also, contacted Canon and was informed that isn’t possible but I can manually convert MP4 to MOV which is ridiculous since the video is already compressed.

How do I use the self timer?
at 4:57 while he's showing the manual mode, you can see him go into the menu with self timer (he has continuous shooting selected). if you go over to the icons with stop watches on them, the numbers are how many seconds for the self timer!

Hello , there used to be aCA mode in the older cameras , on the top dial , do u know where it when to in this camera ? I’m particularly looking for all the color settings like standard ,vivid , brighter darker , soft etc which u cud increase n decrease In effect which I used regularly with the flash off mode , continued shooting ... all of which cud be selected from that CA. Mode .

Also, I have no idea which buttons or wheels you are using to make all settings. I"m more confused now than when i started!
Bad camera.. none of the Linux programs can communicate with this camera.. My lens of 650D camera is useless on this camera, so they get maximum profit... new Camera, new lens 18-400mm. Not so happy, I should have looked before and probably use Sony or Nikon... 😞 Even for GPS, it's not working on this camera without a phone connected. Garbage cheap saving money.
