If you need one of them sure but I am a bit done with buying new gear. I am more into exotic or great lenses from the past for peanuts. So I ordered the Nikon 55mm f2.8 AI-s for 150 bucks. 😊
@@albedo0point39 I don’t follow canon much so I wasn’t aware that they had delivery issues. But they should have known the original R5 is incredibly popular.
@@ZWadePhoto I’m in the process of moving from Canon to Nikon (just picked up a z7ii). I like quality mid range prime lenses… which seems to be Nikon’s sweet spot, and Canon’s Achilles heel! Your reviews and opinions have been very helpful; thank you. Canon stuff is excellent and ergonomically great to use. I think their sensors are a bit behind Nikon’s sony-made ones, and for me, they’re slanting too much towards sports and video.
Zwade, you missed the 100 dollars off on the 26mm f2.8. A very Juicy pancake lens for under 400 dollars. I have one on Notify Me at B&H and that price will be honored when it comes in. BTW, been doing business with B&H since they were Mail Order via an ad on the rear cover on Modern Photography.
"GO DOWN HARD!" I thought this was a different TH-cam channel for a moment. ;). Also, any thoughts on why all the discounts? Just clearing house? These are huge discounts.
Hahah. Thanks for watching. Honestly, it probably nothing. Lens discounts are hard to judge because version 2 lenses are less frequent. When a camera goes way down it can usually indicate a new version on the horizon though. Nikon could just have a warehouse issue. (Need to make room for something they expect to be a big seller) or any other reason to moving stuff fast 🤷♂️ I’m sure it’s not just because they’re nice and love us that’s not profitable business hahaha
@@ZWadePhoto That makes about as much sense as anything regarding inventory. Having just moved to the Z system in the last two months, I did jump on the 105mm f/2.8 that you mentioned, so danke!
Fascinating that the 24-120/4S is on backorder. That lens is a bargain at full price.
@@OriginalWatchcow I didn’t notice that. But makes sense. Everyone likes it haha
Great deals!
Right?! Too bad I’ve already got plans haha

Dude that is one of the sharpest lenses by Nikon. Check for oil on the aperture blades etc...
Right on my dude 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Maybe Nikon can steal some Canon marketshare while they figure out how to actually get their R5ii into shops.

Hey ZWade i got a question: used nikkor 58 f1.4 vs new 50 f1.8 S. What you'll pick and why? TIA
@@loihpatli 58 1.4 for an artsy person. 50 1.8 S for the incredible functionality.
Personally, I don’t much like adapting anymore
