My Mahindra Max 24 HST was dead down on the trail, would not start and the sun was going down, I had given in to the fact that it was spending the night because I could not get it going. After watching your video, I jumped in the side by side and ran down with a flashlight, turned out to be the neutral safety switch. Got it home and in the garage that night. THANK YOU!!
Thanks! I hadn't started my tractor at all during covid nonsense. Had to replace the battery. Wouldn't start with a new battery. Watched your video, and BOOM! The PTO lever was engaged and needed to be pulled back. Problem solved. Appreciate it!
Neutral safety switches are a pain in the rear...My clutch safety switch got hit by a stick and pushed the switch sideways and the pin in the switch was sitting in sideways and not depressing to let it start. I checked it and it looked like it was in working order, but do not let that fool you, I took mine off finally and notice it was bound sideways causing it to stick, once I pulled it out and put it back in it worked fine.... that little stem can fall out also, the only thing holding it in is the rubber boot. I like safety but there are way too many on these tractors!
I have the eMax 22. It’s a piece of Scat. Don’t buy a Mahindra. I think I have about 280 hours on it but really can’t tell, the instrument panel burned up right before the 24 month warranty expired. Mahindra refused to honor the repair. That was only one of nine direct to ground electrical shorts. Tractor vibrates so bad, every plastic panel has broken mounts. Worst part it I still owe $9,000. I wish I had bought a ‘75 Massey I saw in the paper, at least it still runs.
I have the shuttle 3016 it is only 30 horse power, I don't have the seat switch, but going to look at others, mine won't work after it rains, it stops turning over, then after it drys out and I'm able to get it started it will start every time until I get a good rain then I'm back to square one.
I love my Mahindra, and my service person who sold it to me was and is phenomenal! However, if I were to go back in time, I would have gone with a John deer
My max tractor would crank but no start! I noticed a very small bulge on my Excide battery, I took it to O'Reily 's and was told battery was good two seperate times , I took a chance and found an Excide dealer and was told there that my battery was bad! Got home inatalled new battery, my tractor started up right away!
Mahindra tractors is U.S.A International tractors. In America Case tractors bought International tractor, Case Ih. But Mahindra is International tractors alone. Never bought or sold from the day they got the rights to make usa international tractors. Mahindra Tractors are more American than John Deere, or Case, or ....

Just got a 2011 and same thing happens bought from a friend he said he would wiggle all levers to start it but this helped me narrow it down thx

My air filter had 140 hours on it, cleaned it and it started. Ordered new one the next day.

Right on PTO safety gave a push to the off and it started. 4530
I'm running into an issue where it is running, but stalls. It began to get worse. Replaced the fuel pump. Fuel filter and fuel solenoid

It could thw starter or the alternator or it could be the battery

That's great, some problems can be hard to find. A bad battery is a easy fix. I am glad that you got it figured out. Thanks for your comment :)
Also I have found that Napa Auto parts store might cost a lil more but it is worth the money for the right part the first time.
