    Did you test your fuel shutoff solenoid and find it to be not working? Check Amazon for a replacement: amzn.to/39xAOLR. Hope the video helped. 👍

    I had a similar problem on a Ford 1920. To test you can run without the solenoid. To temporarily fix while waiting on parts, cut the plunger off and turn off injection pump manually.

    This blows my mind. So IF that solenoid, in this case, were to go bad, it's natural state would be to shut fuel off? It's difficult to make that conclusion here because the solenoid is actually operating properly. Great video!

    • @SeidelRanch
      @SeidelRanch  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, but I think that is how they all work. So if there is no power, it shuts the fuel off. It will only open the fuel if there is power. The shut off solenoid on my John Deere 317 skid steer is the same way. So if it fails, you will probably not be able to start the engine.

    • @SeidelRanch

      Not on mine. This one pushes the valve to shut off the fuel when power is turned off. The valve opens from a spring inside it when the solenoid is powered up.

    what do you mean when you say "and so fourth " ?

    • @SeidelRanch

      I mean the engine is attached to the frame and the whole tractor is a ground so the solenoid does not need a ground prong. It only has a positive prong because it's ground is the whole tractor when it's screwed in to the injector pump.
