Hey GS The US and India are having a joint Tactical Fighter Exercise coming up where the F15EX is going to be pitted against Su 30 MKI. The point being an exercise to show India that F15EX should be the front runner for the 114 MRFA Indian contract for Fighter jets. Can you do a BVR and Dogfight video? Thank You!
@@theyhatekathI had the most problems in close combat against the mirage 2000 and f15. While I easily beat all the others f14, f16, f18 in close air combat with my mig29.
My first experience with the MiG-29 was back when Microprose released MiG-29 Fulcrum, the companion to Falcon 3.0. The entire cockpit being in cryic (in low res S-VGA resolution to top it off lol) was daunting. The flight model was crazy too with the jet being more analog controlled than the F-16. It could do some crazy stuff though once you got the flight model down. Great video GS. You made that Fulcrum dance.
My first MIG-29 gaming experience was with Domark's MIG-29, a much simpler simulator but that was part of the appeal. There are only a handful of canned missions and you can just hop into the cockpit and play without investing much time!
I don’t think I’ve ever not finished one of your videos. They’re tight, engaging and well edited. I start craving them and it’s become a bit of a routine to watch the new ones you put out each day.
Watched all the way til round 5. Would actually be nice if round 5 was sort of a bonus round where you and your opponent switch planes. Great video as always!
That first kill tho 💀 But in all honesty, your MiG-29 skills are insane. To keep up and win against such formidable opponents and (I know it's not) to make it seem pretty easy... that deserves recognition 👏👏👏
I was about to shout 'you're going do drop like a rock' when you caught that building with the wing. My father's colleague died in MiG-29 the similar way. It was a training flight for an airshow in Belgrade. He tried to do a forced loop followed by a forced turn and when he was at about 3/4 of the turn, the plane just lost the lift. He was too low to try to recover the plane. Ejected, unfortunately didn't make it. Not sure, but I think you would crash anyway. Great video!
I certainly don't mind longer vids and more rounds - there's a lot of spice, skills and variance to them and they're great to watch as always. Keep 'em coming, short and long!
The Fulcrum got such a crazy kill in the first round that the Hornet just went "Oh yeah, watch this!" in the second round and basically humbled the MiG-29.
Would love to see mig 29 vs f14 with you flying both, doing everything, flaps down differential thrust ect. Would love to see two of my favourite jets go head to head
Ya done goofed it, Cleetus.. ;) Great flying.. That flat spin kill was artistry - until you almost got hit by the falling fuselage, haha. I was like "wait! no! look back! please!"
Love the longer videos but when you upload a video it's a guaranteed watch from me. In my opinion, this is one of the best and well maintained channels on TH-cam. Thank you so much, GS!
Stayed to the end. I appreciate you ending the commentary when you've bought the farm - it gives the viewer some empathy of how terrifying a catastrophic outcome in a real fight would feel, and helpless the pilot would be.
We do watch till the end :) Helmet mounted targeting is far less effective than just using the vertical scan and you do not need to point your head towards them so much or wait for so long to lock them up. Try using vertical only after the merge and you will see the diff :) Every time you try using the helmet you are waisting 2-3 secs of prob. solid lock ! Great vid
I don't think there are many if any GS videos I start and don't finish. This was an incredible series of fights. I would have loved to see in more detail how that 18 slowed over the top and gunned the MiG down. Sad about that last round but you could see it coming.
Found your channel after Top Gun Maverick came out. I don't play DCS and don't expect to in the near future, but I still haven't missed a min of any video you released since then, no matter the length. You rock!
I wouldn't have expected it, but I've never been into pro sports. Basketball, football, golf etc, but these simulated air to air fights have become incredibly interesting to me. 3:43 that MiG’s power to weight ratio really came in clutch there. I don’t think the Hornet could have pulled off that same maneuver.
The migs computer gives you a bit more freedom than the american aircrafts which is very nice.
