I've had only one major issues with Figuarts' Star Wars figures so far, but now that I'm sold on them, I'm all in! I nabbed Padme Amidala new in the box recently for hundreds less than she normally goes for, and honestly, it was worth every penny! The Luke Skywalkers they've done are also incredible!
uh you said Han should come up to Chewies shoulders and yet it's clear the Han comes up to almost Chewies NOSE for the Figuarts and just about his shoulder for the black series lol....
I'm totally cool with a Chewbacca figure who is an inch too tall _and_ there is no way I'm going to pay more than fifty bucks for a single six inch scale action figure. But if either of those statements were not true I'd be all over the Figuarts line. This Chewie looks awesome.
You mention that Han should come up to Chewie's shoulders (which I assume you mean the top of Han's head is level with the top of Chewie's shoulders) and that the Figuarts is accurate. However from what I see in your video, the top of Han's head is level with Chewbacca's chin. But reguardless, the two Figuarts don't scale together at all. Such a beautiful figure. It's a shame they just made the fur ball too damn short.
Dude, awesome review! I have been on the fence with these, even though Han and Chewie look excellent. I actually just got the ROTJ Luke in today from Japan. Amazing figure. Looks like I'll be getting both of these in the future as well I suppose!
DO use the international measure system too if you wanna expand your channel even further. If you want an easy way to convert, just tap "6,2 inches to cm" on google. You'll prevent a bunch of people from changing windows just to do that (and make it easier for those who don't even know that's possible).
This message is all over the place with inaccuracies. English speaking countries will alternate between the metric system and imperial system. The imperial measurement system is used globally; so that's a you problem, not a Dan problem.
I feel that these are being released at a trickle to keep up a perceived rarity. My local store in Japan is only putting one figure out on the shelves at a time. No doubt they'll be around $30- $40 in a couple months.
I don't think so; it's not like they're behind the counter and available. It could be that the pre-order numbers for Chewie never hit economies of scale enough to pass-on a discount to the end-consumer, but R2 and 3PO had zero pre-order window on Amazon Japan... There's no logical pattern I can perceive.
Great video, I like what you did with it, you went over the figure but also compared it to the Hasbro Chewie, like a review and versus in one. As for figuarts, won't be getting it, I'd pay fifty, maybe sixty, but anything over is too much for me.
Google search "Han and Chewbacca" and you'll see promotional pictures of Han leaning back against Chewbacca. The Black series scale is correct. I wish it wasn't true but it is. I did a "brown wash" on my Force Awakens Chewie and used the New Hope bandolier. Much better...
I'm not sure what happened at Hasbro, but Chewie looks like Flash the sloth and Han.. Well, I'm pretty sure I saw him in a guest role on The Fall guy, Dukes of Hazzard or The A-Team. Maybe even Knight Rider? Possibly all of them. I think he wore a leather vest and jeans and drove a pick up truck.. Whoever it is it certainly doesn't look like Harrison Ford..
Black series is easier to purchase and more affordable so I'll just stick with that plus I already have a full collection of the black series so no sense in changing now.
Alex Sinibaldi it's worth the change man. figuarts are so much better. not excluding black series tho. they have really good figures WHEN it comes to non-human figures.
As a Canadian, we are the bastard child of the British Imperial units, while also adopting other units of measurement from the 20th move to the metric system. All that to say, that's pretty funny. Note to self: Replace Easy Snake Eyes on Top 5 Alternate band names to Articulated Mullet.
Black Series can't even kneel or look around and hardly move his arms. Figuarts can do all of those. Sir you make entertaining videos but you are definitely wrong there. Please play with the figure some more!
Hi, I love Star Wars SH Figuarts !! Thanks for this review !! I suscribe now !!
Chewbacca is the chosen one. I think I need that figure.
I prefer the black series height over the S H figure arts. I like Chewbacca to be huge and 5'11 compared to 7'3 is quite noticeable in real life.
Fair enough.
same
Harrison's 6'1" bud
@@cap3727
5'9.5" now....but back then they were 5'11".
uh you said Han should come up to Chewies shoulders and yet it's clear the Han comes up to almost Chewies NOSE for the Figuarts and just about his shoulder for the black series lol....

the Instagram photos you've been posting are just...👌
Sometimes a figure just inspires.
You got the laughs , just not for the metric conversions, that's serious shit. Great work as always, stay awesome guys; you're doing everything right.
Thanks. I suppose conversion of units is no laughing matter.

They price out a lot of potential customers but if you can save up for them, I personally think they're worth it.
The line about the conversion of units made me chuckle, so that's a laugh...
I'll take it!
been loving all the fig photos on IG.
Sometimes a figure just inspires.
Damn it. You convinced me to get it. I really thought I was going to let this one go by.
If I only I got some residuals or something from Bandai.
Harrison Ford was 1.8 meters (5'11") in their prime. Now they're barley over 5'9".
_A little secret..celebrities exaggerate their heights._
I don't collect these..but the hell with short Chewie......I'd buy the Figuarts version!
Mark Curtis do you even understand what you're saying? lol
Bandai's awesome, they make top notch figures at way lower prices than Sideshow/Hot Toys
Amen.
+Toy Galaxy :)
Love your vids guys, keep it up!
Do a black series chewbacca vs sh figuarts chewbacca versus video

One at a time? Weird. I wonder if that's partly theft deterrent?

I think I paid $60 including shipping. Definitely at the high end of what I can pay for stuff like this. But I needed Chewie.
The cheapest I can find it at is 75.. ;-;
articulated mullet lol! great review guys
Thank you.
The office chair shit had me rolling
Harrison Ford
Young height: 5'11"
Old man height: 5'9.5"
Peter Mayhew
Young height: Super fucking tall
Old man height: Super fucking tall

Good. It's not just me then.
After doing a little research. Han is a head shorter than Chewbacca
NICE REVIEW. You touched every point I needed to hear

thanks for the review, something about the sh figuarts face seems off to me, so it will be an easy pass.
Han's Black Series is still the best for me, Han only smells Tauntaun's 😁
His neck though... so long.

Can't use Articulated Mullet if you don't go all the way and perform with actual mullets.
Very true!
What does wookie taste like? Its chewie
[cough]... is this thing on?
lol
..its funny that the Hasbro Black Chewbacca is cheaper ane has a better face sculpt than Fguartw chewy.
Why don't you have a sh figuarts kylo rrn
I have not purchased one and no one has purchased one for me.
Harrison Ford was never over 6'. Actors, just like wrestler stats are generally exaggerated.
Muito bom
Technically, 'data' is pronounced like the Star Trek character, although it sounds better the way you said it.
figuarts is the hot toys in 6 inch
Diggidy Diggy Dope
This video made me buy that chewie btws
Good figure though, right?
i love it, plays really well with the han, instagram.com/p/BU_PzhJBftO/?taken-by=toystagrammx

The figuarts head sculpt and overall color is terrible compared to Hasbro! Who writes this shit
Rrrrrrr rrrraaaahhh rrrrrrggghhhhnn
Hey, keep it clean. This is an all ages comment section.
These are terrible... You can't hard mold this much hair
You shaved, your mouth is too red!..
