Lotsa downvotes? Why, he gives great demonstration on really cool rhythm stuff. I love it. And the reason the tone is like that would have more to do with him turning the master volume down a lot on the amp, and then cranking the gain knob. You wouldn't expect Richie to play with stage volume sitting right in front of a 100 watt amp doing an instructional video where he also talks a lot.
