I would also like to see a video of your setup. A walk around of the setup, how you have your cook shack inside and out, electrical, propane, cabinets, etc. I think that your other subs would like to see it as well.
I'm not even a huge meatloaf fan and I'm gonna have to make these, I havent thought about making it in my camp chef smoker before! Going to smoke some 3inch ribeyes tomorrow and then sear them on the new flat top, probably fry up some onions as well! Will be the first cook on the flattop, excited!
Great job, Brian! Never thought of using bread w/milk instead of bread crumbs. Nice mix of ingredients. I'm sure it was great! Both Tom Horsman and yourself made a smoked meatloaf today, so now I want to go get my pellet smoker. On a related topic, I know you had Traeger for a number of years, so I wanted your opinion. I would have preferred to get a Camp Chef Woodwind for a few reasons, but I wound up picking up a Traeger Eastwood 34" model for only $399 on clearance at Home Depot. I was trying to hold out until spring as was still debating a Camp Chef flat top or pellet grill. But, this was a deal I couldn't pass up. If it doesn't work out, I have up to a year to return it, being I opened a Home Depot credit card, which also got the price knocked down $100 to $399. Being you were a long time Traeger owner/user, I thought you'd give me some good input. How well did it work for you? Other than not being able to sear, did it have any other shortcomings? Was it a reliable unit? I'd appreciate your feedback. Thanks in advance. Keep those videos coming, brother.
Sure, my Traeger worked great, replaced the original controller (it had low medium & high settings only) with their low smoke controller shortly after I bought it. I had to replace the hot rod 2 or 3 times and after 7 years of being outside in MN with just a cover on it, it was pretty rusted, I thought that the cover material trapped moisture causing it to rust on the widest part of the "barrel" parallel to the ground. Oh yea the fire pot was really rusted out also and I vacuumed it out 90% of the time between uses. As far as holding set temps I never watched it that close, no different then the Camp Chef to may variables to consider during each cook to get so worried about holding set temp exactly, I look at smoke ring and a course taste. Just once I had the fire go out (just the fan was running) and I was gone for hours came home and the pork shoulder was air dried, I thew it away.. I was at Home Depot yesterday and took a quick look at the Traeger not sure which model but it just looked weird and felt cheap it was $999. I'm sure you will enjoy your Traeger it's a pellet smoker, always fun and tasty. Thank you for all your support.
I love mine. I have the Traeger Pro 22 and its one sturdy work horse. I've never had not one issue with it. But anything that has mechanical parts to it could eventually wear out, weather its a Traeger or Camp Chef. I love watching these kind of videos because you can really learn a lot. These are both pellet grills, so they're gonna do the same thing. I get sear marks on my Traeger also. Sure, there are little things here and there that differ between the two. But not enough to change my mind. Every single thing that I have cooked on my Traeger has come out awesome. You're gonna love it. Anything cooked on a CC can be cooked on a Traeger. Just keep watching these videos for advice and receipes from guys like Brian. Most of these guys are pretty cool and will help you. Tom Horsman is a great guy also. He's help me a few times with questions I've had. Also, Traegers customer service is awesome and you can call them for cooking help too. Download their app, they have recipes and stuff like that. Good luck and enjoy your new smoker!!
For sure comfort food! Tasty! We did burgers with mushrooms peppers onions and cheese with butter grilled buns last night. So tasty like a philly burger.
Brian I enjoy watching your videos and your cook shack. I’m sure every man would love to one. Did you post the recipe anywhere so I can see the amountS? I would love to try it.
No I did cook at a few places but no real chefs around. Watch cooking shows on TV and other TH-cam channels taking away what I feel are good techniques. My grand father and dad were in the restaurant business together before I was born. I have a background in meat cutting and sausage making from years ago. I like to eat good food and not afraid to fail, I have a few videos in the trash bin were I just screwed up. Thank you for watching and commenting
Nice video. You must be or have been a professional cook, no? Anyway nice appealing recipe and nice production on your video. I had to chuckle that you kept your running down your stairs each time to go to your porch in the video. Looks like a hassle, but at least you have a place to cook with the camp chef in winter. You have a new subscriber here. I've watched two of your videos so far and they are both great.
Just discovered your channel and subbed. So what *I'm interested in* is that kick -ass *man-cave/shed/add-on place with the strange walls* . What is it? Did you build it? I want one! What kind of walls does it have? How it is ventilated?
Next time a bigger loaf to fit bread better, the sauce had a lot of flavor, meatloaf was tender and moist, right amount of cheese. First time I made a meat loaf for just sandwiches but definitely will be doing it again. Thanks

Treat your smoker like it's an oven, works the same just may take a bit longer. Enjoy those ribeyes, can't go wrong. Thanks for watching and sharing.
Great video Brian!!!
Thanks for commenting and watching🍻
Isn't the Camp Chef smoker just awesome? Best smoker out there
Yes it is, love the ash clean so easy.

Sweet cook Brian. Dang that is a sweet setup. What model is that deep fryer and would you recommend it?
Thanks, Hamilton Beach it works, easy to clean, heats fast enough, a little small.
Another great video - bravo! 👏
thank you
