The brake rotor screw is a TORX, not TROX. Also, when removing the caliper, I'm thinking you forgot to release the parking brake after removing the brake rotor screw. That why the brake caliper and rotor came off as one assembly.

Adrian Mack looks like he totally Forgot he applied the Parking Brake Super Hard lol but he did it... Maybe next time he use a Cordless Impact Wrench to make it easier

I left the hand brake on. This way everything was aligned exactly as it was when I put it back on.
You really need to lay under the car to get off those caliper bolts...

i have read that its 133 plus 180 degrees.. not 90 degrees, and the caliper bracket bolts need to be replaced, 90 newton meters plus 90 degrees.

Same. Pretty sure it's in a ECS Tuning write up but can't remember. I just did this today

just some constructive feedback ... i did use your vid so thanks for that as i have not done this particular job but have 40 years wrenching cars.
    1. Dont put new parts and tools in the dirt, that's a great way to contaminate your job, especially around wheel bearings, if you are in this situation get yourself a big piece of cardboard from the blue box.
    2. that's a 3/8 drive, not a quarter, a quarter wont do anything on this job. im not sure what that 2 by 4 was about , but i used 1/2 inch drive titan XZN bits and a 1/2 inch ratchet and a 5 lb sledge to get the upper moving. On the lower i use a small 6 inch extention on the 1/2 inch drive to get past the control arm, and crawled under the car and leg pressed the ratchet and she popped.
My car had 593K km on it and its a Canadian ( northern ) car.
    3. That axle bolt is one MOFO . I actually ended up using a 1/2 inch breaker bar and stood on the end and bounced up and down on it and it gave way . Not ideal but it worked...

Super lucky on that spindle bolt breaking free so easily.

I had to jump up and down on a 2ft breaker bar to get mine loosened

my car has a rear howl after driving fast then driving slow, is tis a sign of wheel bearing? Its howls loud and not the front.

We have a 2006 Jetta, gasoline non-turbo. I need to do the rear wheel bearing hub, the dealership sold me a 12 point cap screw instead of a triple square bolt. Do the rear bolts vary?
I haven't gotten the wheel and dust cap off yet to verify.

It's a 12 point. Got on here hoping he tell the size of that 12 point ... gives every other tool needed except that 12 point metric socket needed for that bolt : )

Wtf do you think a triple square is. Square has 4 points, x3 squares = 12 points.
      M18 triple square.

For starters...raise the damn car to a suitable working height so you can simply put an extension breaker pipe on your ratchet! That ratchet strap and 2x4 are pure nonsense bro! Just saying...
