Lib tech was the shit! The had some tight graphics too. I remember one of them being a mad scientist. And they were maybe $10 more than a normal deck if that..
Lib tech still makes skateboards to this day. They also make snowboards and surfboards. Element also had bamboo and helium boards, Habitat had hemp and cork boards.
Still got mine from high school. I loved it so much. So much pop. I landed and heard a crack once and never rode it again. Looking back, it was probably fine to keep skating for much longer, but I still got it hanging on a wall.
@@GoldenEraCollector i personally did not like them. I got kicked off for trading them for regular decks at a local skate shop. The fiberglass makes it really easy to slip out on manual tricks and they lose their shape and delaminate after just a couple weeks. I do have some friends that love them though. I just personally don't.
Had a board in 2006 or so, remember it being green, razor tailed never broke. Slated like a champ. Resell on that now is crazy, not sure if I'd skate it, resell it or hang it on the wall at this point, hard to replace.
Had one for one whole summer skated everyday for hours, and it lasted until the hardware pulled out back through the deck. I put washers on the hardware so it could still be used. In comparison a board would only last me maybe a month at that time.
Living in Virginia when I first really got into skateboarding I never heard of Lib Tech. It wasn’t until I moved to Washington seeing people skate Lib Tech for the first time, it’s pretty big up here.
A skate shop in Kentucky gave me an aluminum skateboard to test. They claimed it was indestructible, but it wasn’t. The design was interesting though, like they cut it out of a bass boat
Lib tech makes really high quality stuff, skate that shit. Santa Cruz did Nu Wood for a second, it was molded plastic. I had one of the Aircraft brand aluminum ones with the wood tips. It sucked. Loud, no pop and after you wore down all the wood parts you were left riding a jagged sharpened blade
I had a couple of lib tech boards more than 10 years ago, I remember they didn't break but delaminated and chipped pretty bad from street skating so the pop went away quickly, but at least they didn't break so it worked to convince my parents to buy me a board.
120$ out of a shop(in the year 200). 65$ direct from lib tech.(last week) That one Is an older style, pre cockraoch construction. I think it's a 3rd or 4th generation.
I'd get mine at the mall in Florida back in 2002 with a clear grip tape that I'd put stickers under before applying. I loved lib tech the pop n everything but razor tail sucked n cost $10 more than other boards
Sees a Lib Tech board in Active/CCS Quickly says "Pfff, GAY!" Quickly looks at Zero, Toy Machine, Birdhouse and Alien Workshop There, I summarized Lib Tech for everyone
Element had all kinds of "tech" shit. Helium, push, featherlite, etc. There was fiberlam by foundation/toy machine, dark stars armour light, powerbeam by black label, texalium by blind, uberlite by almost, prolly hella more. Would be sick to see you do more decks. Get up you lazy bastard and make a video so I can watch while I'm being lazy (which is all the time). Luv u dood 😘
I had a lib tech board and that shit felt soggy and no pop it was hella whack.. I only got it because I was a kid and the fiber glass stuff sounded so dope to me, and my dad always used lib tech snowboards

Its tight that you held onto it
Reminds me of those new Jim Greco boards.
I live where they make those in Port Angeles/ Sequim Washington. I was sponsored by them when I was 17.i worked there for a while too.
How were they

They are made there
@@chefmichaelevans I always wondered about the "Made in USA near Canada" . Best snowboards ever
Santa Cruz (I think) did a middle foam ply like 20 years
Wtf. That sounds terrible lol
@@GoldenEraCollector yeah dude, look it up haha
Have a homie that still sheds his 7 year old lib tech

Had one back in the day. Lasted forever. I loved it, but it felt a little weird at first.
Their wieght feels weird almost to flighty
Back in the late 90s and 2000s I rode lib tech's. 70 bucks or so back then. Loved them. Popped so good and easy.
Any 90s football decks 1993/1994 they were around 7 🛹🏅

I like the seven plys. Lib tech only have like 3
Isnt this the same technology as the flight Decks and vx.??
They also make bamboo skateboards. Never tried one tho
I've heard of them but also never tried one
This was my first deck… what I would give to get my hands on a recreation of that first set up
Remember slick decks in the early 90s and the tiny little 25mm wheels
Yeah man libtechs were the best! They lasted soooooo long!
I heard air force metal in a really old video from 1970s
You aren't dumb not buying that old stock Mazda, skaterboy. Those cars are absolute moneypits.
The aircraft aluminum boards sucked, I had one and they were heavy, and had no pop!
Ah damn. They looked promising lol
I'd get mine at the mall in Florida back in 2002 with a clear grip tape that I'd put stickers under before applying. I loved lib tech the pop n everything but razor tail sucked n cost $10 more than other boards
Great channel, brutal fucking hair do.
🤣
Shit is fucked
I have they budget bad boys super street 🔥🔥
You forgot they also made a bamboo skate deck

BAMBOO WOOD TOO🪵 🛹
My lib tech board cost like $85 I think back in like 2002-2004
No mom joke?
Sometimes I forget
Fiberglass is cheaper than wood.
