VR is honetly awesome when using it yourself but a pain in the ass to showcase/record footage for youtube etc. Its always a concideration as a content creator. Can really fuck up the editing workflow.

I know as a former infantryman, I kinda wished most of our enemy’s training would be all video games, because it would be really easy to un@live them.
It seems like your TrackIR camera keeps losing track. I actually place the TrackIR camera a bit to my left since the Trackclip is clipped to the left of my headset. This makes the clip more centered with the camera.
Question: How is it possible to lock on and use a Fox-3 at close (visible) range? From my limited knowledge about radars, the AGP-63 pulse width is too 'wide' for closer ranges. It's still transmitting the end of the pulses by the time the reflected pulses are received. 🤔🤔
Have watched a quite a few of your videos since I just came across your channel not long ago - VR is cool (have it but don’t use it), I don’t play in VR as I have 3 TV’s around me, but you would benefit a lot by upping your sensitivity in TrackIR. If your TrackIR is going nuts like it does sometimes, you need to do that. Helps a ton! Even me having 3 screens mine is pretty sensitive. Give it a shot and see what happens - hope it helps! Also, when it comes to the AI’s flight dynamics, they don’t suffer from energy loss like a real player does. Have someone else dogfight AI and watch the AI on the F10 map. They will make 180 degree turns instantly and at Mach 1+. It’s been a huge complaint of DCS that has never been fixed.
Does the plane have a preference order for the fuel? As it will always use external tanks first? I guess you need to consider how far you are away from home or refueling before you engage?
In DCS - and I believe irl as well - the first tanks to get empty are the externals, first the external wing tanks get empty practically together, while the centerline external tank still has a couple hundreds of pounds left, and only after the externals are empty, the internal tanks start draining fuel from the wings, then the central fuselage last. When refueling, the order is reversed, it fills up the internal center first, then the internal wings, and finally the external tanks.
@@William3000x are some tanks more aerodynamical than others? such as the belly tank. Wonder if its an automatic eject everything or it depends on the level of manoeuvrability it requires?
@@harryc1971 Well, in DCS there are two categories of modules for the aircraft that differ in levels of complexity and fidelity of systems simulation. There's the Low Fidelity modules and the High Fidelity modules. Low Fidelity, which the C version of the F-15 in this video is based on, although they have a pretty well made flight model, accurately representing the general flight behavior of the aircraft, its systems are all simplified, which means you don't have a clickable cockpit, with all of the avionics, sensors and other intruments in the cockpit implemented to full detail, and you operate all of the most important aircraft systems via keyboard command combos. In High Fidelity modules, such as the E version of the F-15, you do have all of the systmes fully implemented (despite the develeopment of the F-15E by Razbam is halted at the moment and it still doesn't have all of its features and functionality implemented yet), and you can interact with the jet by clicking in the cockpit switches, buttons and knobs, and they all do exactly what they're supposed to do in the real jet. With all that said, your question about the external tanks ejections is in fact addressed by DCS in different ways, depending of each type of fidelity module. For instance, this F-15C is a Low Fidelity, which means you can't choose to only jettison one, or two of the tanks. When you press the key binding for the Jettison Fuel Tanks command, it will drop all of the tanks it's carrying at once, regardless if there's still any fuel left in them. But for the High Fidelity modules, they do implement what is called a Selective Jettison System within their avionics. This system works differently in every type of jet. But in general you are able to select whatever station of your payload you want to drop when you press the Jettison button on the console. You can drop only the external wing tanks, only the centerline external tank or all of them, or you can even drop only one of the wing tanks, keeping the other on (which will affect your flight characteristics and how the aircraft responds to the asymmetrical weight distribution). There's only one main condition for the F-15C to drop its tanks: You need to be flying somewhat a straight and level flight. This means you have to be within like 10° of banking and between -5° and +5° of pitch, and NOT pulling less than 1G.
You should totally try out Falcon BMS if you haven't already. They just released a "full fidelity" F-15C (I know how sensitive people are about calling something FF) in the past couple updates, and there are multiple Blocks of Viper for you to have some fun in
