It’s funny cause as someone who listens to bills pod still today I’ve heard him talk about Marcus smart a million times, it’s cool how he kind of nailed smart’s impact and attitude w his analysis
It’s so fun to think about someone from the future being included in this conversation. If someone were to tell them “a 3 time MVP and top-20 player of all time is included in this draft try to guess who it is,” it would be so fun to see how long it took them to get to Jokic and then the shock on their face when they hear it’s him.
I completely agree with u yeah. It’s almost like people ignored or didn’t watch him in college. He was the same player in college. Low motor and defense is all effort. It has nothing to do with length.

Wow. Saying Michigan State hasn't had a good pro since Zach Randolph. They were literally one offseason away from formerly introduced to Draymond Green.
@@Juice-ig3jz If Embiid didn't rehab correctly, his career could have been over before it started. Let's not forget how limited he was his first few years
I’m a Bucks fan so I watched a lot of that season; it was the most healthy that he ever was. Unfortunately, several knee injuries derailed what should have been a promising career.
these two nailed this, jabari averaged 20 pts only injury stopped him, embiid was the best, both wernt sure on wiggins, aaron gordon in 2023 is playing like marion, they didnt like vonleh, nailed marcus smart
This pod aged very well for Jalen. Pounding the table for Embiid and Gary Harris, breaking news on the beginning of the end for Ty Lawson. Bill is like 30% on takes over his career. That Aaron Gordon as Westbrook of the draft, gushing about Elfrid Payton.
Bill doesn’t watch more than 15 minutes of most of these players and then compares them to hall of famers. It’s amazing how for a guy who wrote a book about the history of basketball, he barely understands the game. It’s on a very surface level. Which is fine for recounting history of games, but he’s not able to make prognostications seriously.
I know this is 3 years later and Gary looked promising at the time but me seeing this now it’s funny that it turned out Harris wasn’t quite so good after all
I feel like Smart is definitely the best version of himself because he's with the Celtics but he's probably alright with the Hornets, streaky but mostly ok shooting and lockdown defense
@salamisumo2 he was hesitant on his injuries which teams were which is why Embiid went 3. Not once did he say Embiid would be bad. Stop building a false narrative.
@@maxdurk4624 Was still a silly thing to say even at the time. Even if you go back two years it shouldn't have been called an awful draft. It also shows that you shouldn't count out a draft class after just six years. Embiid and Jokic have been MVP candidates, Capela and Smart have been DPOY candidates, and there is at least fifteen other productive players. Bill and Jalen had great chemistry
Josh Nyamburi bill has great chemistry with everyone he is a great hang
