Something important which I forgot to mention in the video, is that you'll need to use the __RigMeta of the IMPORTED weapon rig, not the one that comes with the IK rig. Although, if you follow the steps in the same order of the video, it should be fine

God, thank you for your work. I just can't watch these videos where people try to explain how to tie an object to a rig's arm for about 20 minutes. After that, watched ya another video about ragdoll's, and it is what I needed - straight and simple. (Which is good)
Question ? - How do you save the rig the way u did - When i dowload the rig it automatically opens blender with that rig already in the workspace and i cant pull up the file the way u did so after 1:40 i cant do anything since i cant find (File > Append)

Anyone know why when I import a welded weapon rig with a character model into Blender, the mag and slide bones disappear? I only see the root and handle bones.
Hey, so on the step of adding the IK rig, every time I select the entire collection, it comes out as a jumbled mess. I've tried only selecting relevant parts of the collection too, and I got the same results. Any idea on why it's turning out this way? (I'm using the leftright rig btw if that helps)
I haven't used his rig but I think it has multiple rigs in one file, you wanna add all of them and then delete the collections in the outliner of the rigs you don't want

That sounds like an issue with the rig in studio, make sure that the item is welded to the model in studio correctly. Pretty much any studio rigging tutorial will show you how to do this, but if you have moon animator you can use the easy weld to create an animatable joint between the arm and the handle. If you don't have moon, you can use a rigging plugin like RigEditor or rig edit lite
It's actually outdated for 4.0+ but it's posted in the moon animator discord server (.gg/moonanimator), in the resources channel 25/11/2022. If you use it I recommend using blender 3.6 or below
My knowledge only goes as far as animating but you should be able to use the animations made with this method in the same way you add animations to games normally
Bones should still be there, they're probably hidden inside of the item because the 'see through objects' property is disabled on the actual rig. You can get around this by adding your own bone shape
You can add a "Copy transforms" constraint onto the object's bone and assign it to a different bone, if you need a demonstration try looking for an unparented weapon/limb tutorial
It essentially just attaches the bone to the exportable rig's body, so you can still make it detach using copy location and rotation constraints or whatever other methods there are

The rbx add-on for blender automatically bakes the animation, so wiggle bones will export like normal as they're baked into the keyframes

Whenever I append my rig It loses all it's color and when I then import the animation to roblox the character's legs crumple up
Not sure what could cause that, check you're using updated plugins/addons and that the rigs are the same in studio/in blender

Easy weld comes with Moon Animator, an alternative would be Rig Editor or RigEdit lite
