here's my word of advice for anybody who wants to get better at animation number 1. use linear interpolation, it allows more control over you animation, it doesn't have automatic easing, but that's a good thing, since you can control it more, take example of a bouncing ball, with Bezier interpolation it would look weird, with linear interpolation however. it would look exactly what you want (remember this isn't always the case though) number 2. better posing, when it comes to animation you want to have good posing, i would recommend you use a lot of human reference since that is the most realistic way of getting good poses, it would look weird if the body was everywhere, so i would recommend you learn a little bit of anatomy to understand good poses for animation. number 3. Follow-Through, follow through makes the animation feel more real, in the video he adds delay to the animation which is good, but i would recommend you do it like this, first make the animation without follow through, then start moving the keyframes of each part of the body differently, the top of the body should go first, like the head and arms and front chest, and the bottom of the body like the legs and feet. number 4. golden poses and blocking of the animation, golden poses are very important as they show the key poses in a animation, like a comic book or a manga, they are very import as they lay the foundation of the animation and how its gonna be, its very important that you do this so that you have a good idea of the animation, and it will make it a whole lot easier to animate, remember to use constant interpolation when making golden poses number 5. Reference, If you don't know how to make a certain action use a Reference, either in real life or someone else's animation, it will help you understand what you are trying to do and the end results look much much better, so if your a beginner, use references to improve your animation. that's all, sorry for yapping a lot.
@@Resse4727 if your using moon animator, it automatically uses linear, if your in blender you have to do it manually by right clicking the keyframes and selecting interpolation and setting it to linear like you said.
The learning is the easiest and first part of becoming a good animator sadly 😭animation is one of those skills that the longer you do it the better you get at it, if you want a tip don't make loads of low quality animations by doing one a day. Instead do very high quality and long animations like once a week or something like that, you'll soon pick up when to use interpolation modes and how to make the animations really flow.
hia, recently got into animation again i used to use sfm and was looking for guides and random things others have made and kinda wanted to make roblox ones and found this video, really good job and wondering if your keep making animations things on your channel
The video was a learning experience and kind of fun to make but since I'm not good at storytelling, there might have been parts where I missed out on some details that should've been in the video but weren't, the process was rushed too because I've never made a video "in 7 days" so during the last few days my brain started overstimulating me with dopamine at the simplest activities that aren't animating. I wanted to get this video over and done with as it was originally planned for 7 days (it took an extra 3 due to uploading other videos in between, needed to take a few breaks and was unwell); I'll probably need to take a different approach to a video like this next time. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoyed
I want to try and make myself a powerhouse of Roblox game development, I do UI already, used to build a but but I need to improve, and I can script most things but I spend a while troubleshooting cause I'm an idiot 90% of the time. I would have to learn how to model from scratch as well as animation. I might actually dedicate to it now, thanks.
In blender, is there a way I can animate my animation with an easing style that is similar to Roblox’s “CONSTANT” option? I’ve been solely animating in studio with its built in animator and I won’t get better if I stay there
The way I ended up learning animation (still learning, since I’m the biggest procrastinator in the entire known galaxy) was actually by doing a bouncy ball animation, so I could learn timing and the other principles of animation. (Please, God, save me from this program known as Blender.)
I followed this tutorial: th-cam.com/video/zA5KoZXa5nc/w-d-xo.html (How To Import Video References For Animation In Blender 3.4 - manson akram) lowkey couldn't figure out how to edit the part where I can start and end the video reference so I just recorded it myself lol
