I hadn't been so invested in the Tour in years!!! Alaphilippe's performance was something so special. I was sad he didn't make podium. I don't want anyone to forget what did
W.C. J The most remarkable thing is that he never was good enough for a good GC in a grand Tour and out of nowhere he finishes 5th and the most strange thing is that he didn’t even train for it and rode a lot of one day races
Kees Jansma - admittedly I hadn't know much about him, but I was so impressed! Usually riders will ride solid the whole race and then pick a place to come alive. But it seemed like he was great in the flats, sprints, time trials, and climbs. He just burnt himself out.
W.C. J. You can't forget this anymore than Did Thurau or maybe Claudio Chiapucci in 1990 before we knew of the EPO.... Hard to believe it was the power of the maillot Jaune that had Alafpolak crush everybody who mattered in that ITT
NBCSCN did an amazing job on the commentary. The commentators belong on the list of "Best of". They are tireless, and even ride parts of the course. They make the Tour! Congrats to another job, well done.
One of best Tour for 10 or 20 years. Great stages every days with lots of superb personnal/team performances. Well done Bernat, at the very end, he was the strongest.
France Rugby ok but when Alafpolak won this ITT wasn't it as amazing as it is unbelievable and certainly questionable and there's no way this guy is even Top 10 yet here he is.... I was wrong about Pinot, he can win the Tour
Alaphillipe grows in stature and in his wins, what a fantastic and passionate rider he is. Sagan never disappoints, Bernal is truly superb, a real winner of the tour (should change teams). Thomas was never going to repeat, drop that mic. Caleb Ewan again...fantastic power in sprints. Did anybody really miss Froome, as so many other contending riders performed amazingly well. All round good tour IMO

Thank you for the great coverage NBC Sports! You guys are finally getting it! I could have spent less time dwelling on the crashes. For the top 10, I'd also put Nibali on Stage 20 for the win! After getting sick too! Also, Peter Sagan's photobomb on the champagne toast was classic! :)
Of course, it all depends on what one means by "top moments", but I can hardly agree that Van Aert's crash and Sagan signing an autograph while riding may count as such in any significant sense of those words. Alaphilippe's comeback in the descent of the Galibier in the eighteen stage and Thibault Pinot withdrawal should however have counted as part of the top moments of this year's Tour.

Any list that doesn't include Alaphilippe's descent on stage 18 is trash. That ride was the defining moment of this Tour and will be talked about for decades.
probably too late for an answer, but why do some of the drivers on the 10th highlight push to get in front only to then relax and leave it to the others?
Can somebody honestly answer me this question that occurs me anytime I'm trying to watch this competition, how do you not get bored to watch this bikes going for hours?
You're trying to tell me that spending the whole day--over 200K--off the front to win the Tour's first "gravel stage" on some insane steep helltop [sic] finish doesn't make this list? Awesome tour, hard to pick just ten top moments. But come on NBC Sports; Stage One sprint over Planche des Belles Filles? Nope.

Pinot and Alaphilippe trying to chase down Thomas De Gendt was a great moment as well!
I think De Gendt made the greatest perf of the 2019 TDF (and i'm french), and second the is perhaps Alaphilippe winning the time trial.
Suspense, action, outstanding performances... Without any doubt, this was the best Tour de France I have seen.
