Man that was some lore-accurate PvZ in those last few minutes. Fun one!
I was thinking the same. It was almost cinematic. That push up to the zerg base, the push back, those surrounds. One of the best games I've seen in a long time.
A pity TvZ is not nearly as lore accuarate, with bio usually outnumbring zerg.
A very swarmy way to play Zerg.
Just eating storm after storm, just producing units faster than the high templars can recharge storm.

I remember the first time I saw a Scout. I looked at it and thought "wow, proton-misslle or something similar ... 22 dmg" I need those! And I built some of them and send them to battle ... wow ... didn´t know that this was just air to air dmg.
Now THIS is podracing.
The scouts feel very much like a desperation "I need to get out on the map and do something. I need to kill some drones and hurt the zerg economy in some manner." Sadly it just came after plague was already done. They desperately needed 1-2 attack upgrades too but he was already so gas starved.

Ruin made Soma work for it, incredible how many zerg he killed before tapping out
This was so much fun. It feels almost like one of those campaign games where you’re supposed to use a particular skill and combo and hold off the Zerg for a length of time. Ruin lost but man he made Soma pay for everything he took.
PvP? Surely, that CANNOT be............perhaps Zeratul would say
Ruin maybe was maintaining that bank for a late carrier transition or something, but it should have had more gas if it was that

@@dr.pastrami5272 ah yes no damage should apply to burrowed units, plus they should be able to attack while burrowed frfr just heap advantages the pile isn't high enough.

nice defense there at the end. Maybe Ruin could have used the Scouts as a separate team of sorts, snipe the Hive, tech buildings, disrupt upgrades, etc. So many other points. Maybe he could have used a giant Scout ball to do some serious damage from the air but again those hydras. Good game, I actually like the defense of ONE player near the end, they just did not have ENOUGH. Player was good enough more numbers might have dragged this one somewhat longer. Peace, good game and good one in prep for Sunday, did not know about the Scout challenge. Thx again. 👍🌟✊🤜➡➡➡.

Great cast as usual! Maybe a stupid question, but why don't protoss players get that high templar energy upgrade to have 3 storms instead of 2, especially in PvZ? Seems like a low investment high reward kind of thing
Yeah I’ve thought the same, especially when they’re floating resources. Maybe temps just don’t hang around between storms to accrue enough energy to make it worthwhile?

#note, I'm not disagreeing in the slightest just chipping in.
The high Templar should only be used defensively or when transferring from one area to defend from another as a last resort 🤔
They are too vulnerable to dare using as a brawling unit, should just use them for hallucinations spam of extra damage soaking unit.
