Nice video, I appreciate you taking the time to record your trip. I am interested in getting myself a cfr250l Rally for shot 20/30 mile highway commutes (60-70mph rider here) And some ez desert riding like you did. (low adrenaline sort of offroader here)
@@bermcannonk I was reading about that. I am holding out for the new rally. I was going to get the cb500x but i think its too much of an overlap with the motorcycle i already own. I think a dual sport will give me more diversity.
Just found your channel. Nice video! Must be an awesome ride. Btw I didn't know Nacho Libre's Jack Black & young Benicio Del Toro were into dual sports riding. 😁😋
Great place for riding! That restaurant was cool.Honda xl600,Honda xr650l,2 yamaha fzx750s and a restomodded Gsx 750 with a Gixxer 1100 motor scrambler style here.
Good Boy BCannon! I Love the Lone Pine/Bama Hills area. I've ridden my "Dominator" all over the area- North, South, East, and West! I have a 30' Rage'n 5th Toy Hauler, usually camp at Portagee Joe CG, It's only $14/day and 1/2 mile west of dwntwn LP. My Girls, Zoey n Roxy, love running the Whitney Portal area! Ride On Bro!!!
What size tank does your Rally have? I have a 2013 250L with a 3.1 gallon tank. If I ran it dry I would be at 150 miles. Cool video guys, looks like fun.
@@bermcannonk wow, not what I was expecting. I seriously doubt you will get 200 miles out of a tank unless it's all pavement riding, especially with a windscreen. What's the most you've got out of a tank?
I have a 2018 Honda CRF250L rally. It is bone stock other than a 13 tooth front sprocket. I weigh 200 lb and live at 10,000 feet altitude. My bike consistently gets. 65 MPG. Cruising at low altitude and low-speed I can see it getting 80 MPG. I just purchased an aftermarket fuel tank for it. This will get me 3.5 gallons. 8/10 of a gallon is not much additional fuel. However I thought the weight savings was worth it. With a stock rally at low speeds you might be able to eke out 200 miles.
If you're curious, it's official name is "the JEDI transition." It's part of a huge low altitude training complex and shortly after the first Star Wars movie in 77, the pilots started calling it Star Wars canyon because, well, Death Star trench scene. A few years later they officially changed the name on the map to JEDI. It's similar in purpose to the Mach Loop over in the U.K. but pilots who have flown both tend to consider Star Wars Canyon to be technically more demanding. I believe it's shorter, but there are vertical elements to it that Mach Loop doesn't have and it's mostly more narrow. YT search and you can find unbelievable pilots eye vids of both. As I understand it, there are different altitude minimums between the Air Force and the Navy/Marine Corps, (and I was a grunt, so I don't know which is which,) but no matter who's getting "low and stupid," it's an E-ticket ride. Cheers.
Just taking the opportunity to salute the truck drivers of the world. Everything we wear, eat, ride, use was transported by truck. Respect!
Liked and subbed just because you are rockimg the Rally, same bike I have! 💪🏽🙋🏾♀️
Unreal night shots. Looks like a postcard.
Beautiful night camera shots 👏👏👏 that scenery is wow ...thanks for taking us along 👍
10-4 it was really fun.

Hold on for a few months. This bike may be upgraded to a 300

Pretty much. It was awesome

What is that on the left side of the 650R case, an external oil reservoir, or a large filter? Ive
never seen that before. 05:44
Thats a @bajadesigns electric start for the xr650r 😎
is the monoshock adjustable sir?
Great scenery! I have a 2017 Rally that I love. I bet those tacos were a little better than Taco Bell.
Thanks Bill glad you enjoyed
It'll be sweet if they make a CRF450L Rally
A 450 would be sweet.

Right on Larry! I think 🤔 i am putting LP on my all time camping list.
Mostley car trails and not much scenery, but burro schmidt tunnel kind of cool. Not quite high Sierra i think over there
Schmidt tunnel is actually quite a ways from where we rode in this episodes it’s more by Randsburg
One last Question. Is that a Bermcannon patch on Freddys jacket?
Don't the RPMs get too high when cruising on the highway?
Negative. Its gear more for Highway.

The crf250l rally has a 2.7 gallon

Doobie Lawson correct. The bike is completely stock no mods, and I was mostly riding paved and fire roads. At a easy pace. 45-55 mostly.

Why the hell doesn't Honda make a 450L Rally
I agree.

At least put the 300 motor they already have it built
They are waiting to sell a bunch of 450Ls and 250 Rallys first!
El Chapo!
Is that yours or Freddys 650r ?
Fire Freddys
👍
XR650R rules!
My DR 400 gets 100 mile or so range, so I guess the 250 might get 400 miles.
Is called Stars Canyon because they filmed there?
The military pilots that fly in that canyon have given it that name
@@bermcannonk thanks keep up the great content and production value!

didn't even talk about the e start on the 650 bro
They no longer make them Oscar. Freddy is plannin to disconnect the system soon because of slight aging issues.
