Watched this series (A.I. / SSG) and bought the AXMC……had some issues and still not got it back and the A.I. customer service is atrocious. It’s likely I’ll be requesting a refund, going through the hassle of a variation and getting the SSG. Such a shame.
@@tyrisnolam The scope rail was visibly canted to one side, I contacted AI to ask if it was normal/acceptable (my lack of experience meant I didn’t know) and it took 2 weeks to receive a reply saying that it was fine. In the meantime, as I’d heard nothing, I returned it to the shop for inspection, who would then forward it on to AI if they thought it was an issue. They did send it back to AI, they had it for 5 weeks in total. During this period, I asked AI via email if they had a rough idea of when they might get a chance to look at it as I had range days booked (and if I had to cancel, I wanted to do it as early as possible to get some money back)….they replied with saying (albeit politely) “maybe look at it next week, only contact the shop for further updates”. The rifle turned up and it had had the scope rail replaced but, while I improved, it still had a canted scope rail (side to side cant, not the intentional 20MOA-type along its length). It wasn’t bad enough that if it had originally arrived like it I’d have still sent it back….but they’d had put it through QC twice at this point. Had they responded quicker than two weeks and said it was fine, Id have taken that as good enough for me (they replied to a generic question about it within half an hour previously)…..but being virtually uncontactable then essentially telling me to not contact them again meant I just didn’t want to keep the rifle. I got the SSG instead…..it’s lovely.
@@tyrisnolam I replied to this yesterday but it’s not showing up. The scope rail was visibly canted, AI took weeks to reply to an email (can’t ring them either without knowing an extension number or leaving a message….they never got back to me via the phone). I sent the rifle back to the shop (who were great btw), they forwarded it on to AI after inspecting it. I sent AI an email after a few weeks asking if they had a rough eta of when they might get a chance to look at it (wanted to know if I had to cancel booked range days) and was told, politely, not to contact them again about the matter. It came back after 5 weeks, improved but still not 100%, so I returned it. Ended up getting the SSG M1 and it’s lovely.
Steyr scout has 4 locking lugs. Can you show M1‘s bolt mechanism ?
thanks.
Top quality....

sorry to hear that. Would you mind elaborating what kind of issues you had and how it all turned out in the end?

@@Smatnm Thank you for sharing this! Such a customer service is unacceptable (also, I like the AR-style ejection port cover).
You ok mate ?
Terrible name. Lol 🤣
You’re not wrong 😆
When you pronounce it wrong, yes.
